Most high-schoolers dream of going off to college, getting away from home and finally being an adult, but how many really have any idea what college life is like? Take it from these members of the West Shore Class of 2013 — it’s not as scary as you think, except when it’s way scarier.

It’s the first time I’ve been on my own and you have to be responsible now that you don’t have your parents telling you what to do.� — Tyler Moscrip CULTURE SHOCK: $“People that are rushing for sororities are wearing really funny/cool hats.� — NM ACADEMICS: $“I guess I didn’t realize how big [the lecture halls] were but I’m really enjoying the discussion classes so we can get some questions answered.� — NM DORM LIFE: $“The people are nice, and we get along very well. Then, he replied ‘Well you should because you’re really working that package.’ I shouted ‘Ew no’ ... The last thing I would expect was a cheesy pickup line.� — Vianca Rivera $“[Weird things go] from raccoons living by the bike rack to people trying to sell me the weirdest things to the crazy people willing to do anything to be in a sorority.� — Andres Maldonado ACADEMICS: $“On average, I have two hours in between my classes, so ...
