Dear Whitetail Club Members,
As we approach another exciting month, I'm thrilled to see all the interest we've received for this year's Men's Invitational, set to take place from August 7 through the 10. From captivating musical performances to culinary experiences, our team is dedicated to ensuring that this event remains memorable for all who attend. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing more detailed information, including detailed itineraries and member confirmations for participation.
We are happy to share that renovations for The Fish & Swim Club are underway; therefore, the facility is temporarily closed until May 23, 2024. Enhancements are being made to introduce new furnishings and fixtures including more seating for the dining room as well as casual seating in the Fish & Swim lounge. The change is sure to brighten the space and create a more inviting ambiance. The clubhouse will be open during its regular operating hours, and we also invite you to visit Monday – Wednesday mornings for complimentary coffee, tea, or espresso. Rest assured, we will keep you updated on the progress of the renovations and any further developments.
As we think about warmer months ahead, we look forward to the opening of the new outdoor tennis court and four outdoor pickleball courts. To match the enthusiasm around pickleball, this year's calendar includes instructional clinics starting in June and a tournament in August.
Additionally, our course superintendent, Adam Lott, has been clearing off the greens to remove the over 4 feet of remaining snow. Our goal is to remove the ice that has formed during this wet winter season. This work needs to happen now so that all members can enjoy our course in pristine shape come golf season.
Regarding facility improvements, we will be adding new outdoor furniture to The Golf Grille & Golf Shop. Additional shade will be added to the space, replacing the umbrellas – with larger canopies, making way for great views of the 18th tee and beyond.
Club improvements don't stop there; we have also made the decision to move our current property management system to Clubessential, which is the same interface our membership uses with the Member Portal and app.
Benefits of this streamlined approach with our systems will include the added feature of booking tee times and the ability to view member statements in real-time. From a billing standpoint, we will be able to expedite monthly invoicing, show real-time data, resolve discrepancies, and provide greater visibility throughout the month. Our goal is to get this system online by June 1.
Lastly, after a long and dedicated search to fill the position of Head Golf Professional for Whitetail Club, we are pleased to share that we have extended an offer to Andrew Elaimy. He brings a wealth of experience for his young career, having held the Head Golf Professional position at Old Works Golf Course, the University of Idaho Golf Course, and the Lexington Country Club. His background also includes experience as an Assistant Golf Professional for the Tournament Players Club (TPC) Boston and at Chambers Bay in Washington. We look forward to having him start on April 9 and to meet our membership.
If you have any questions or require clarification regarding our operating hours or any other matter, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly or to the Club Concierge, Amanda.
Sincerely,
Tom E. Garcia

Bon voyage, ladies!
Notably recognized as the greatest public golf course in America and six-time host of the U.S. Open Championship, Pebble Beach Golf Links showcases speculator vistas of manicured greens, towering mountains, and the crashing waters of Carmel Bay and Stillwater Cove. Wrapping around California's Monterey Peninsula, this one-of-a-kind golf course was built in 1919 by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant, two amateurs with no design experience but an extraordinary vision. The course has seen limited changes throughout the years yet has experienced memorable shots in golf history.
Royal County Down Golf Club Newcastle, Northern Ireland
Boasting a breathtaking backdrop of the Mountains of Mourne and Dundrum Bay, the Royal Country Down Golf Course is one of the world's most spectacular and challenging links. Nestled in the picturesque Murlough Nature Reserve and established in March 1889 with an original nine-hole layout by George L. Baillie, the course has seen enhancements throughout the years to the established and renowned course it is now. With its expansion and redesigned holes, the course witnessed numerous championships and continues to welcome some of the best players in the world.
Cape Kidnappers Golf Course Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
Situated on rolling hills bordered by stunning sheer cliffs, Cape Kidnappers offers expansive ocean views and a captivating horizon. Featured in Golf Magazine's "2021-22 Ranking of the Best Designs on the Planet," Cape Kidnappers was built in 2004 by renowned architect Tom Doak. Unlike traditional links, Doak states that the terrain at Cape Kidnappers tilts toward the sea as a series of ridges jutting out toward the edge of the cliffs, making it a challenging and memorable play.
