i love www.themakeupboxshop.com.au I love the feeling of being organised. Slowly I have been organising each room from my office to the kitchen. One of my biggest messes was the bathroom; my makeup was spread out from one end to the other and I just couldn’t find anything. Ever since I saw the clear makeup box on Keeping up with the Kardashians (yes I watch it) I have always wanted one. Thanks to Google I found a great website ‘The Make-up Box Shop’. That’s all they sell different boxes for make-up storage. I bought the large original 6 drawer makeup organiser (pictured) for $141; that might sound a little pricey but when you see and feel it, it is worth every cent. They are made from a very sturdy top quality acrylic not a cheap and flimsy plastic. Being so organised I now know what lipsticks I have, no more rummaging through every draw trying to find the colour I’m looking for.

my beauty essentials.

I cannot rave about these little beauties enough. I have found the perfect product to store all

Next on my list is one for my nail polishes. If you don’t need the large organiser that’s ok, they have smaller ones starting from $51.

GIBSON CLOTHING

www.gibsonclothing.com.au There is nothing better than a welldressed man. When I first laid eyes on men’s label Gibson it ticked all the boxes. With the confidence of youth and unrestrained attitude, Gibson explores the traditional confines of menswear, without ever compromising them. Its Autumn/ Winter collection reflects this with its sharp cuts and roguish attitude. Gibson creates outfits in a nonchalant and unexpected manner whilst remaining highly considered. You can’t help but feel the attitude of the Gibson male extends far beyond his wardrobe. The range includes: suiting, formal wear and casual separates.

KMART IS CHANGING THE

T OY R U L E S

Kmart seem to be listening to their customers. Independent research commissioned by Kmart found: * 94% of Australians said they would prefer it if retailers offered low prices each and every day rather than inflated prices to all for discounts and sales periods * Three quarters of Australians have said value for money is still the most important factor when shopping * 64% of Aussies expect better value from bricks and mortar retailers because of the value now available online While all other retailers are releasing their Mega Toy Sales Kmart has made the bold move to change the rules. Aligning the annual event with their famous strategy of everyday low price, Kmart has launched a massive new range of toys. But unlike other retailers, their prices will stay low all year round.

1.

OK so now you’re thinking they may be cheap but are they good quality? Well I can answer that for you. I was lucky enough to attend the toy launch and we all got to touch and play with toys and the quality is top notch; just as good as any of the other major toy brands available. Kmart Head of Toys, Nicole Szujda said “customers are savvier than ever before and are under constant budget pressure. Families especially are doing it tough. We created a toy range focused on innovation and honest pricing-so that prices are the best they can be, all the time.” “We’re confident the Kmart toy range has been designed to offer the latest toys that reflect how play has evolved. Plus the classics that parents know and love,” added Nicole. Well Kmart you have impressed the socks off of me. All the toys from the catalogue are available at everyday low prices now till Christmas Eve in-store and online at www.kmart.com.au

DESIGN YOUR OWN

Get creative I have found some great online stores that allow you to customise your own jacket, gym gear and jewellery. It truly is fantastic the options we have available to us now.

www.varsityapparel.com.au Varsity apparel is all the go and this site allows you to design your own varsity jacket. I spent hours on here having a play. It is so much fun watching your jacket design appear on the screen as you follow each step; so easy. First you choose the style of jacket (see pictured) classic, hoodie or retro then step by step you choose the colours and lettering etc. The body of the jacket is wool and the sleeves and pocket trims are leather. You have the choice of print on the back and numbers on the sleeves you can even have your nickname placed on the front too. Jackets cost $199 that includes free shipping in Australia and takes 6-8 weeks for delivery. Choose your style

www.melanocolours.com.au MelanO Colours is a Dutch brand of interchangeable jewellery, offering a wide variety of interchangeable coloured elements. What surprised me the most when I received my ring was the high quality and the pieces are super affordable. Ring bases start from $40; disc tops start from $30 and the stones start from $25. I think MelanO colours make great gifts. I know I’ll be getting one for mum and then each birthday I can buy her different pieces to change the look. The designs are endless. I ordered the Cameleon ring (pictured) $165

www.mylo-dee.com Mylo-dee is a bespoke active wear label where women can design their own pieces using an online digital designer app, they then custom make it for you using beautiful French performance fabric. Start by clicking on ‘design your own’ then select a silhouette (which has been designed with body shape - not size - in mind), then select a neckline, sleeves, back & front design details and the fabric - and voila an original piece that will suit your shape and style.

LATEST NEWS Major US retailers partner with Aussie comparison site.

I remember writing about the announcement of Bloomingdales and Macy’s delivering to Australia. They have now taken one step further and partnered with Australia’s largest and most established price comparison website Shopbot.com. au The partnerships will strengthen the online presence for both US retailers in Australia by giving local shoppers the ability to easily compare Macy’s and Bloomingdales products with those offered by hundreds of other local and international retailers. According to Neil Thomas, Asia-Pacific Sales Director at Shopbot, the partnerships represent a major shift in the way globally recognised and respected retailers, such as Macy’s and Bloomingdales, reach Australian shoppers with a the latest product ranges from overseas.

“We’re very pleased to be able to partner with such iconic and respected brands that can offer product lines and prices previously unavailable to many Australian shoppers. These partnerships come at an exciting time for the retail sector in Australia as we’re seeing more international brands enter the online and bricks and mortar sectors,” Thomas said. Shopbot’s partnerships with Macy’s and Bloomingdales are effective immediately and will result in over 100,000 products from the US retailers being listed on Shopbot.com.au. All Macy’s and Bloomingdales products listed on Shopbot will be available for delivery to Australian towns and cities. Major US retailer, Macy’s chose to partner with Shopbot due to the price comparison site’s strong reach into the Australian market.

Additionally, Bloomingdales has experienced significant demand from Australian shoppers since it started shipping here and has incorporated Shopbot into its strategy to expand its reach into this market. The US retailer sees the partnership as a channel to communicate its products to research savvy shoppers in Australia. Shopbot currently lists pricing information for more than one million products, which are available through thousands of retailers’ online and bricks and mortar sales channels. More than 1.8million Australians use the site every month to compare prices and products.
