project date 2009/2010 project description Based on the key aspects of the company, the target market, and the type of products The Acquashop sells, I decided to create an image that embodies the essential characteristics and personality associated with the brand.

Throughout history fish have been associated with abundance, fertility, feminity, prosperity and success. They symbolize happiness as they have complete freedom of movement in the water. They represent eternity, creativity, good luck, knowledge and transformation.

School Presentations

Invitations

› For each meeting, I created a presentation package specifically designed for school kids with information about me, an overview of the campaign, the objectives, and instructions on how and what materials they could use.

› Printed directly on recycled items such as pizza and cereal boxes, discarded paper, cardboard and old book covers. To stay environmentally friendly, water-based inks were used on the printing process.

Other Information › Approximately 160 kids from 3 different schools (Victoria Village Public School, Yorkview Public School and Churchill Public School) participated in this project.

The Globes › Almost 90% of the elements used to design, develop and promote this campaign were reused, recycled and/or environmentally friendly.

The Superbug Waste Awareness Campaign Book

project date 2009/2010 project description These two books contain a detailed descrip-

tion of the main ideas of the campaign, telling the issues and step by step processes I had to go through to address them during the design, planning, scheduling, and realization phases.

They were printed on 100% recycled paper including 100% postconsumer waste. Additionally, the orange cover and the globe in the second book were created from repurposed materials.

Welcome! The Superbug Awareness Campaign is a project that encourages kids from grades 4 through 6, their families and the community to challenge the problem of overconsumption, overproduction and disposability patterns in our society.

Waste Awareness Campaign

The main objective of the campaign is to convey a symbolic message promoting the need to rethink the way we see waste by inspiring people through kids’ creative expression. At the same time, it is a great opportunity for kids to reinforce their knowledge and understanding of how caring for the environment and taking action contribute to the health and well being of ourselves and the planet.
