Adrian Behazi How did this artist inspired you? This artist inspired me to use a different medium with my photographs, to create an interesting collage.

How do your photos relate to this artist?  My photographs relate to this artist due to the same use of materials used and the idea behind using this material, which was to create a strong prominent composition.

What do you find interesting about this photograph? The use of collage works well in this piece to due the slightly muted colors. I think it is interesting how the photographer uses text to interact with the image to create a visual impact

How has this photographer used their digital editing equipment and materials to create their images? This artist uses what seems to look like book pages and illustrations. He then combines these two materials to create an interesting composition through the use of overlapping and he may have used Photoshop to alter the transparency of the model so that the text is still visible

Solve Sunsbo How this artist inspired you?  This artist influenced me to have over exposed images but still have some detailed areas. Also the use of one color to create a strong contrast between the two

How do your photos relate to this artist?  My photos relate to this artist as I used the same or similar editing techniques. Such as using the dodge and burn tool and only using a small amount of color

What do you find interesting about this photograph? I like how this photographer uses effective editing to create tonal contrast which enhances the image visually. I was interested in how defined the eyebrows and eyelashes were even though the face was completely over exposed showing no detail or information in the skin, which is an idea that I want to implement into my photographs.

How has this photographer used their digital editing equipment and materials to create their images? The photographer has used airbrushing in order for the model to look perfect. Also the face had been completely over exposed, perhaps the dodge tool was used with a high exposure or the brightness and contrast tool was appropriately used. By doing this it then draws attention to the eye.

Caryn Drexl

How this artist inspired you?  I was highly interested in the effect the use of maps had on this image. Which is using juxtaposition, Caryn Drexel creatively places things together in close proximity. This artist inspired me to want to use this medium, to create thought provoking images.

How do your photos relate to this artist?  My photos relate to this artist as I combined two different types of imagery that wouldn’t usually be placed together

What do you find interesting about this photograph? This piece by Caryn Drexel combines an image of a woman with a map. I think this image works really well due to how some of the map is concealing parts of her body. Maps are a diagram or collection of data showing the arrangement or distribution or something over an area, however this photograph contradicts this: the map used in the image is instead hiding features and slightly obscuring the woman’s bod.

How has this photographer used their digital editing equipment and materials to create their images? This photographer perhaps physically placed a map over the body in the image, or it could have indeed been overlaid via Photoshop

Chris Carnel

How did this artist inspired you? This artist inspired me to interfere with the physical qualities of my images through stitching, this artists idea enabled me to effectively manipulate an image.

How do your photos relate to this artist?  My work relates to this artists as I used the same experimental method as this artist to create a new image which strongly symbolizes a specific aspect of my synopsis.

What do you find interesting about this photograph? I like the use of shallow depth of field making the realistic appearance of stitching in the lips the focal point. The black and white presentation of this photograph, provides interesting light and dark tones which is aesthetically pleasing.

How has this photographer used their digital editing equipment and materials to create their images?

I think the photographer edited and make the image black and white, so that the stitching in the mouth was made the focal point.

How does this artists work inspire you? This artist inspired me to photograph an image, print it out, rephotograph it, print again then edited the image into black and white, I felt this developmental idea helped me when I was photographing my art and design based photographs.

How do your photos relate to this artist? My photos relate to this artist due to the similar developmental ideas used

What do you find interesting about this photograph? I think it’s interesting how the photographer suppresses the faces of the models, this visually has an impact on the photograph, also the use of black and white creates subdued tones which is very protuberant.

How has this photographer used their digital editing equipment and materials to create their images? From observing this image I think the photographer photographed an empty space, printed it out and then placed another image on top, shown from the light white shadow around the top image. Making it clear that it isn’t apart of the image. Also perhaps the photograph was then processed through a scanner due to the subtle blurred movement in the background and white pigment on the top, which could have been from the plate of the scanner

Unnamed Artist

How does this artists work inspire you? This artist inspired me to edit my photographs in black and white and create very muted but prominent images.

How do your photos relate to this artist? My photos relate to this photograph, as I implemented the artists idea of creating distressed imagery.

What do you find interesting about this photograph? I like how the photographer physically distresses the photograph, to vaguely obscure the subject matter.

How has this photographer used their digital editing equipment and materials to create their images? I think the photographer used art experiments to develop this photographs. Perhaps bleach was applied to create the dark and light circles. Then the image was re-photographed. Due to the physical qualities of the image I think the photographer used RAW sliders such as clarity, highlights and shadows to enhance the photograph
