From Y.P.W.P Magazine!!

Welcome Welcome to our third edition of Y.P.W.P. I would like to say thank you to all my supporters, I really appreciate you taking time out to put your children’s good works in my magazine. Not many parents push their children to do good these days. I hope my magazine brings out the true person in the children so they will know they don't have to be nobody but themselves. This world is so superficial! If you’re not wearing some designers name, a designer that don't even know or care about you, if you’re not small or have a look that society puts on T.V. you’re not accepted. This is why I want to encourage the children that are featured and support my magazine to create your own style, wear your own name, and to be a leader not a follower. It’s ok to wear designer clothes, but don't think this will make you a better person, or better than someone else. “WOW'' another holiday! I was just looking in my yard today, my mom loved beautiful Easter Lillie's. We had some planted before she passed away in December, they had not bloomed yet. After her home going, I looked outside and the flowers had bloomed so big and pretty! This Was Amazing To Me! I went outside today and two more big green plants have grown in the yard with beautiful Lillie's Everywhere! It is so Amazing, I feel like that’s her letting me know she is doing fine. Can someone tell me what does a bunny have to do with Easter????? I’ll be waiting for some history on this.  We have a great cover story this month. We welcome Jacob Bryson.

He is a powerful young man! I know you are going to love his story. Relax and be inspired by this amazing young man. Remember to put God first in your life and all things will work out for your good. Easter is a beautiful day to celebrate not just being in a church building, but to look at the sacrifice Jesus made for us. Look at the Sky, Tree's, Flowers, Mountains And the Green Grass, don’t forget to give Him all the Praise and Glory. Just last year everything was brown and dead we could not water, and it was not enough rain. But God showed up and showed out! Everything is so green and beautiful. That told me not to worry; Jesus is real matter what man says, He is in control! That's the best Easter message of the year for me. Love You All and I hope you enjoy our third edition of Y.P.W.P. From my family to yours, HAVE A HAPPY EASTER! Much Love!

Little Black Girls, if I told you that your essence is your beauty, would you believe me and let your light shine? Little Black Girls, if I told you that you are a Pearl and a Diamond in the rough, would you believe me and let your light shine? Little Black Girls, if I told you that your Melanin is the reflection of your inner soul, would you believe me and let your light shine? Little Black Girls if I told you that your hair is like a hive of honey bees and it’s your Queenly Glory, would you believe me and let your light shine? Little Black Girls, Harriet Tubman said “Every great dream begins with a dreamer and always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars and change the world.” Maya Angelou said “You are a phenomenal woman, phenomenally that’s you. Furthermore you are fierce, resilient, beautiful, unique and brilliant. Do you believe this and will you let your light shine?

Little BLACK GIRLS, I’m talking to you, if I was to tell you your light is your passage to reclaim that which was lost, would you believe me and let your light shine? Hi Y.P.W.P. family! Last month we talked about love and all that stuff. This month I wanted to know how music made you feel or what kind of music you like. I started my interviews off with my mom cause she uses music for everything! It’s crazy, like when she bakes cupcakes, which are hecka good, she has to listen to someone named PRINCE. His music sounds BOOOOOO to me but it must be really good to her because the cupcakes she makes, everyone likes to eat them and she says they were baked with love. My mom also listens to gospel every school morning loudly, like Marvin Sapp and Erica Campbell she says it helps her be prayed up for the day, and she prays for me and my brother and my sister at the same time. I like to write my own songs, and I love listening to Mindless Behavior, especially the song ‘’Use To Be “ it makes me feel happy when I feel sad sometimes. I bet you would never ever guess that me and my cousin Jaelah love Charlie Wilson, or like what everyone else call him” Uncle Charlie”. His songs are great and his voice.. it doesn’t even matter that he is way older than us…we like it cause its jazzy. So Now On The Next Page Is My Interviews With My Friends…

Morgen Washington, she is 9 in a half and she said that, ‘’ The type of music that makes her happy is the blues and jazz’’. I never listened to the blues but I plan on hearing what it sounds like. My best friend Asia Webb who I call my sister said,’’ The music that makes her happy is slow jams and the old school music like, Candy Rain’’. We both like old school music because you can understand the words and they didn’t have a lot of slang like our music. I faced time with my friend Zoja and she said, she likes music that will keep her calm and happy like R&B and Hip Hop’’. My last interview was with Escarlette and she said, ‘’ I like to listen to jazz to calm me down and make me happy after a bad day’’. I learned that music is like a medicine it can really help you feel a lot of ways like relaxed, happy, and I hope one day I can sing a song that makes people happy too. Okay that’s all for right now see you next month, don’t forget you can chat it up with me at BYE

My name is Jacob Bryson and I am 10 years old. I am in the 5th grade and excited to be going to middle school next year. I am an only child so it’s just me and my mom. My mom works with victims of crime and before that she always had jobs helping people. I remember going to her job when she worked with homeless people and when she worked with high school kids that needed counseling. That’s why I like helping people. My mom showed me it is important not to give up on people.

My grandparents are also really important to me too. My grandpa watches wrestling with me w and helps me with anything I need help with. I can talk to him about anything. When I am scared I can tell him, and he will protect me. My grandma died from cancer May 4, 2014. I miss her, she was my best friend. I used to help her and my grandpa in the garden and plant flowers and set up the bird feeders. My grandma loved hummingbirds so we would sit and wait for them to come. When she was sick everyone helped her. I would massage her feet and feed her ice cream. Losing her was really hard for everybody, especially me I wanted to go to heaven and be with her. My mom found this great place called Camp ERIN. It is a grief camp for kids that have lost someone. They helped to be okay with being sad sometimes and to do things in

honor of my grandma. It has helped me a lot. When my grandma died my grandpa gave me her bible. I read it with my mom and it makes me feel closer to her. At first I was angry at God for taking her away but

now I understand that she is in heaven and she isn’t hurting anymore. One day we will be together again. My family always helps people when we can. That’s why I really like helping people and don’t like people to be sad or see people being mean to each other. I think people should take care of each other. It makes me sad to see people on the street asking for food so I decided to start my own food bank. I am calling it JACOB’S FOOD BANK OF AMERICA. I have asked some local business to help me by letting me hang flyers and leave

a box for people to donate. My mom is helping to get my food bank set up as my own business. I even have some of friends that are helping. Even though I am only 10, I can still help people. That’s just one of the ways I want to help people. I also have Tourette’s syndrome (TS) it is a neurological disorder that makes my body move in crazy ways, they are called tics and I can’t control it. It is like having an itch that you have to scratch or it just feels crazy if you don’t. I was diagnosed with TS for real when I was in the 4 the grade because I was making a loud noise that sounded like a whistle and my neck jerked to the side. When I first heard I had TS I didn’t really know what it meant. The Dr. gave me some medicine and it helped for a little while. I also deal with anxiety; I get really nervous all of the time even with things I know how to do. I just like to do everything right. I take a medication every day that helps and I go to an awesome support group where I can meet kids that have TS too. I used to think I was the only one but I know that I am not. It is hard to have TS when people stare at me or get mad at me when I don’t stop my tics but I just tell people I’m sorry I can’t stop it, if I could I would. My teacher asked me to prepare a presentation to the student council so that we can participate in the Tourette’s Awareness month in May. I want other kids with TS to know that they can do anything they want to do. Sometimes it may not feel like it and people might look at us funny but we still enjoy things other kids do. I don’t let my TS stop me from doing the things I like. I am learning to play the trumpet.

I was in the school play last year as an Ogre and I auditioned when I had tics. I am also in Taekwondo I have my green belt. I am playing baseball and my coach is working with me because I want to pitch this year. My tics are in my hands and fingers right now and it makes it hard to pitch but I am not giving up. I am also a Barbizon graduate and most of the time when I was in my acting and modeling classes I was having tics. I was embarrassed but my coaches and the other kids helped me to not be shy. When I get older I want to join the Army. For now I am enjoying scouting. I completed my Arrow of Light with Cub Scouts and participated in the bridging ceremony to be welcomed by my new Boy Scout Troop 277. I am excited to be a Boy Scout and I can’t wait until I can join to the Sea Scouts. I hope that kids my age remember that they can do and be whatever they want to. They just have to work hard and never give up. Thanks for reading.

with a few of my coworkers to ask for their help. I am now working on trying to get his food bank recognized as a nonprofit. My son amazes me all of the time. I am blessed to have a son like Jacob his desire to help others and walk with God as his guide makes me a proud mommy.

When Jacob was about 7 years old he was first diagnosed with a mild tic disorder. I didn’t really know what that meant but we didn’t worry about it too much because the tic in his neck would come for a few weeks and then go away. Then in November 2014 he was diagnosed with Tourette’s. I remember sitting in my car outside my office crying thinking why God it’s not fair. Then I realized he had always had this but now we needed to focus on ways to manage it. We found a really great support group that meets often and he can meet kids his age. There are also older kids that are inspiring that tell him it gets better which is a relief to me as well. He has gone through some much in the past 2 years and through it all he focuses on how others are treated. He is always thinking of others and wanting to help even if that means he gives up something he wants. When he first told me about starting his food bank I gave him some tasks to get done to see how serious he was. Two days later he had completed the tasks and even made appointments

Hello Everybody…It’s Me Again Journalist Jaelah! I decided to take a picture with my favorite doll. My mom and I went shopping and I found this doll that looks just like me! So I decided to take a few pictures and show them to everyone. But that’s not what I am here to talk about. Today I want to talk about school and pets.

These are the things I like and don’t like about my school. This is what I would do to change things at my school. I have been going to my school for three years and they have not changed a thing. The water fountains are very dirty and the rest rooms are cold and old.

I would like to change the water fountains and put in new ones. I would make the bathrooms warm and very pretty. The things I love about my school are Science Projects and History! We get in our groups and study Native American History. I love my teacher because she takes time to make sure my work is done correct and she takes time to help me understand what she is teaching. I like helping others in the class also. Well friends that’s what I like and don’t like about school. Share with me what you love and hate about your school. You can email me at

Now let’s talk about pets. Pets can make you very happy. First I want to talk about Kee Kee. Kee Kee belongs to my cousin Shevonna. She came in our life at a very special time. When my Aunt Yvonne lost her son, her daughter bought a dog named kee kee. She would make my Aunt Yvonne laugh. They would take walks, and go to the park, this made her so happy. When we lost our family dog named Webber it was so sad, Kee Kee bought joy back to the whole family. Me and Kee Kee play tag and she knows how to play and she loves going to the dog park. She can out run all the dogs in the park! She also loves chasing squirrels and her roommate Kelvin the cat. Whenever I come over to see my Aunt, Kee Kee runs and jumps on me. I love her so much! Now I have a puppy and Kee Kee gets so jealous. Here is a picture of Kee Kee.

Let me tell you about my dog Kahndi! She makes me so happy, when I get home from school she jumps on me and tries to lick my face. She can say yes, and no. She stands and dances when she wants to eat. My dog Kahndi likes to chase squirrels just like Kee Kee. When I take her to the park she just runs so fast, and she loves to eat. We have to stop her because sometimes she over eats. At night we go to bed and I love to snuggle with her, she's so soft like a teddy bear. Me and my mom like to tease her sometimes when we hug because she gets jealous and starts to bark. My dog is so funny..I love my puppy so much!!!! Pets can make you so happy. Do you have a pet? Tell me about your pet and send me a photo. Here’s a picture of my dog Kahndi.

Remember you can write to me at See You Next Time‌Love And Kisses!

Crybaby and Thankful are twins; however, they are not identical. They were born 4 minutes apart. Crybaby was born first and he weighed five pounds and his sister, Thankful only weighed 3 pounds. Because, her weight was so low, she had to stay in the hospital for several weeks, until she had gained more pounds.

Crybaby had strong lungs and he always got the attention of his parent's by crying and being fussy, on the other hand "Thankful would make a little noise and her parent's knew she was hungry and she needed her diaper changed.

Crybaby and Thankful didn't want for nothing. They went to the best schools, they played sports, and they had the latest cell phones and Tablet's. Every weekend they were able to go see the latest movies. They did not have to take a lunch to school because they were given an allowance of $20.00 a week. They did not have to clean their bed rooms, take out the garbage or wash dishes. Their parent's income alone could afford them a Maid and a Butler. Their only responsibility was to complete their homework assignment every night.

One day, Grandpa Wealthy and Grandmother Bless stopped by their house. They had been on a long vocation for 1 year traveling around the world. They brought back souvenirs for Crybaby and Thankful. Grandmother Bless gave Crybaby a Purple Rock, it was a thousand years old and beautiful. Grandpa gave Thankful a Tablet that had Princess Diane’s Picture on it with her original signature. Crybaby began to wine about his gift, he felt like he had been cheated, he did not show any gratitude for the gift but ""Thankful, she gave her Grandpa a big hug and Thanked him for the gift. Grandpa was so happy to see her response and appreciation but Grandmother was very disappointed in Crybaby. Crybaby! His Mother exclaimed! She told him that he was fortunate to have Grandparent's that love him and he should show gratitude for their generosity. She enforced that there are many children in this world that do not have the privileges or provision as they do. Some children sleep on the floor because they do not have a bed to sleep in, some children only eat once a day and those meals are normally provided by the school that they attend. Moreover, some children are living in shelters or in Foster Care Homes. You need to thank the Lord and your Grandparents for everything they have done for you and what they will do for you. Well my little friends! Don't be like Crybaby; Be happy and thankful for what God has blessed you with. You don't want to stop receiving gifts! Blessings keep coming, when you say "THANK YOU! Note: Read 1 Thessalonians 5: 18 * In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Parents when we send our children to school every day we expect them to sit still, listen to the teacher and to bring home good grades. They are expected to sit for 6 hours a day and they better behave themselves. When this doesn’t happen we are very upset with them. We train them that school is very important and they are there to learn, we supply them with all the equipment they need to help them in school. When our children bring home good grades it makes us very proud. The second thing we as parents do, we involve them in all kinds of extra-curricular activities, such as ballet, baseball, football, track, modeling, etc.. We train them that this is very important as well. They train for hours at a time and we expect them to pay attention so that they will learn all that they need to know. We supply them with all the equipment they need to participate in these activities. The last thing is that we take them to church on Sunday and church only last for 2 hours maybe 3. The 45 minutes might be singing and the announcements. After that it’s time to learn the word of God. Why is it that we bring candy, drinks, toys and all kinds of things to make our children sit still? You very seldom see them

with the bible in their hand. Now a day they have all this electronic stuff with bible apps on it. But are they really looking at the bible or are they playing games on these electronic devices. Why do we take offence when someone tries to tell you or your child to respect the house of the Lord, put the toys away and listen. Isn’t the word of God just as important as school and sports? We expect our children to learn in all the other things listed above, but we are laxed when it comes to learning about God. We as parents can quote Proverbs 22:6 in our sleep. But are we living what we saying? Let’s be real, we train them on how to respect the teacher, the coach and others. Why are we not teaching them to respect God’s house and His word? I know this is going to raise some hairs on some parents, if this is not you..thank God that you are teaching your child right. If this is you, then say ouch and get it right! Just like we train them to do right in everything else, train them that learning about God is just as important as everything else. We can’t blame our children for what we are not teaching them. I hear so many people say that they were raised in the church and know nothing about the true living God. Why? because we allowed them to play and sleep when they should have been learning. We all have our days when we are just tired, but if you really examine things…we make them stay awake until they learn and do their homework. Let’s Do A Recap; School last for 6 hours, Extra-Curricular Activities, 3 hours, Church 2 hours…Let’s train them in the way they should go when it comes to God. I would love your feedback on this topic. I choose to remain anonymous and only speak to you through this magazine and my ministry which is TUAC Ministries (Train Up A Child). I teach children and this is what I have observed for many years and decided to write about it. Send your feedback to and they will forward your feedback to me. Thanks for reading, TUAC Ministries
