TFFLA Sprints through its First 6 Months!
It’s been an exciting few months for the TFFLA and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us with this new venture. We appreciate all the likes on our TFFLA Facebook page, and the 200+ people who attended the launch party held in September. We continue to welcome all the email membership enquiries, and those enquires from transport workers who want to utilise the TFFLA to promote their groups, organisations and events, keep them coming… THANKYOU!
TFFLA Launch Party ‘The Finishing Line’
Music, good food and great company equated to an enjoyable night had by all, and £100 raised towards Cancer Research UK. What a fantastic night! With that said and done we are now looking forward to an even bigger and better night – TFFLA CHRISTMAS PARTY on Saturday 8th December, 2012, at Borough Bar in London Bridge, get your £5 tickets early!
Other Events, Groups & Organisations Updates
The TFFLA attended a great night for reggae enthusiasts called ‘Can You Move the Crowd’. DJ’s from across London Transport compete in a ‘SOUNDCLASH’, where DJs play against other DJs, and the crowd determines which DJ played the better selection of music. Mark Walters a Train Op on the Victoria line has organised a series of soundclash nights, raising funds to support the vibrant community arts and social scene in Tottenham. The Next event will be held on Friday 26th October 2012. James Buttress a Train Op on the Bakerloo line, wants to bring MOVEMBER to London Underground, this initiative raises funds and awareness about men’s health. James has set up the London Underground network with Movember, registration is needed by 30th October 2012. TFFLA have been contacted by people who have formed interesting groups from Choirs to Ornithological to Nature groups…it is so EXCITING! The TFFLA will be sure to keep you informed.
