We invite all Tree Choir members to sing with us on this Sunday and throughout the month of December into January 1st. Singing Christmas Tree Choir Special thanks to those who attended Sunday night’s rehearsal. We will meet at 6:30 PM this Wednesday, November 30th and this Sunday, December 4th at 7:00 PM after the Children’s Choir Service. There will be a Full Rehearsal with instrumentalists, cast and technicians next Wednesday, December 7 and Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, December 8 at 7:00 PM. Please make prompt attendance at all practices a priority! Children’s Choirs: All choirs will rehearse this Wednesday, November 30 at 5:30 PM in preparation for Sunday night’s annual Children’s Festival of Christmas Music at 6:00 PM. Everyone is invited; children and choir leaders should meet in their choir rooms promptly at 5:30 PM dressed nicely in Christmas colors. Of course, you are invited to sing on the FBC float in the Christmas Parade this Saturday; meet at the church at 10:00 AM. Tickets for the SCT are now available; please take only the number you know you will use and return any extra tickets ASAP. The dates are December 9-12 (Friday-Monday) at 7:00 PM each evening with a 3:00 afternoon matinee on Saturday, December 10. We still need some volunteers to assist Betty Alford in distributing these in the main hallway on Sunday mornings before and after both services; please call the church office if you can help. HELP! Special thanks to those who assisted on Sunday after church and the youth who helped on Sunday evening, plus all those who came on Monday and Tuesday to work in any way. We still need LOTS of help in many different areas next week before the Tree, especially on Monday and Tuesday (daytime and evening). Please try to arrange your schedule to come and assist whenever possible. The SCT is much more than music; it is truly a church-wide ministry! See the box below for the upcoming schedule! We also need ushers, greeters, and security personnel for all performances; please call the church office at 546-5187 to volunteer. And please PRAY for the Tree! Joy Singers: We will rehearse at 11:30 AM next Wednesday, December 7. We will not meet on December 14 and will go to sing at nursing homes on December 21 at 10:00 AM. Mr. Jay

hat a great day we shared this past Sunday. God sent us new families in both of our services. We have two new folks to baptize. Praise the Lord! It is that time of year when we jump with both feet into the Singing Christmas Tree. Let me thank you in advance for your faithfulness to this important ministry. God never fails to use this special time of year and creative ministry to draw someone to the savior and to a closer walk with Christ. Please pray that the Spirit would move mightily through the music and drama, and that the gospel would be presented clearly. This is also a time of year when many families find their limited resources stretched to the max and often come to the church looking for assistance. Please keep this in mind as you think about giving and blessing others. A gift to the Church Family Benevolence Fund would help us share the love and encouragement of Christ with others. Thank you for always being so faithful in this regard. Hey ya’ll, Merry Christmas!

HELP!! Volunteers are needed to assist in two critical areas of Children’s Ministry! NURSERY: We need more persons to volunteer to serve in the first or second service about once every two months (you can always go to the other service on the Sundays you have to serve). Please call Jason Mitchell or Jennifer Davis (344-2515) to be put on the rotation. NOTE: If you are going to be absent on your assigned Sunday, it is YOUR responsibility to find someone on the list to trade Sundays and to notify the Nursery Captain for that day, NOT Jennifer’s! CHILDREN’S WORSHIP (Ages 3-4): We need a couple or two adults to serve the first Sunday of each odd month (November, January, March, etc.) or every two months during the second half of the first and second services. We also need a couple/two adults to serve on the fifth Sundays (about four times a year). If you can assist, please contact Jason Mitchell or Sarah Bradham (340-5894) as soon as possible. Thank you for loving and caring about our children!

Beginning this December we will launch two new Sunday School classes. The first is with Richard & Shelley Powers and will be designed for Singles or Couples not currently enrolled in a Sunday School class who desire to study God’s Word in a deeper, more engaging manner. They will be contacting some of you soon, but you can get ahead of the game by calling the Powers and register for this class: 325-3333 The second new opportunity is for College and Career Singles (under 30) with Mitch and Jamie Thompkins. The class is planning a social event on Saturday, December 17. Contact the Thompkins to get registered for the class today! 527-4287 “Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
