See brewing and fermentation vessels; taste natural mineral water from the brewery’s well; try some malted barley and smell locally-grown Kentish hops. The 80 minute tour also includes a visit to the Old Brewery Store, housed in the old wines and spirits store, which features impressive displays of historic delivery vehicles, a recreated coopers’ workshop, bygone pub signs and a collection of hop picking memorabilia. Tours end with a tutored tasting of Shepherd Neame’s Kentish ales and speciality lagers, before visitors have the chance to visit the Brewery Shop and pick up a souvenir, gift or some of their favourite beer.


EDUCATIONAL VISITS We offer educational guided tours of the working Faversham Brewery site, which provide students with an opportunity to learn about the ancient art of brewing. Educational visits are suitable for students aged over 14, and are of particular value for those studying biology (particularly micro-biology or fermentation), business studies, tourism, marketing, history and geography.

GROUP TOURS We can provide exclusive tours for private groups of 2 to 100 people. Your party will be allocated a personal guide to take you around the brewery and provide a tutored tasting. BEER & FOOD MATCHING EVENINGS Join us for an entertaining evening that features a six-course "Beer Dinner" and showcases seven beers of a variety of styles. The Old Brewery Store hosts the “Home of The Hop” exhibition and you can also take a special brewery tour and find out how Kentish hops are used in our famous ales – advance booking recommended.

Our planning is meticulous and we will help make your special day truly memorable for you and your guests. Our Visitor Centre features a 15th Century function room which, with its wealth of exposed beams and superb octagonal crownpost, provides a cosy, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for ceremonies and receptions. The Brewhouse at the heart of this working brewery is also licensed for ceremonies. Larger groups can be accommodated in The Old Brewery Store, once the Brewery’s wines & spirits warehouse and now reimagined as a characterful venue that is ideal for wedding ceremonies, receptions and parties.


PRIVATE DINING AND PARTIES If you’re looking for a unique location to host a private dinner or celebration, the Faversham Brewery has two very special spaces to choose from. The Visitor Centre, set in a beautifully restored medieval hall house, boasts a romantic charm and can accommodate 85 guests while the spacious Old Brewery Store can seat 150 guests banquet-style, accommodate 300 at a buffet and up to 400 for an evening party. The Old Brewery Store is fully equipped with its own bar, a modular stage, in-house sound system, and theatre-style lighting.

CONFERENCES The Visitor Centre’s function room can seat up to 60 delegates, theatre-style. There is also an additional area which can provide useful extra space for breakout groups. Alternatively, The Old Brewery Store is ideal for larger conferences, presentations, product launches or exhibitions. Both venues offer a full range of public address and presentation equipment, their own bars, and full catering, provided by our in-house team of chefs.

HOW TO FIND US Faversham is around an hour from London by train. Local services also operate from the Medway Towns, Canterbury and the Kent coast. The walk from the station takes about 10 minutes. For information on train times and fares see nationalrail.co.uk. The town is also served by a number of bus companies. Arriva service 333 runs from Maidstone and Sittingbourne. Stagecoach East Kent services 3, 3A and 3X link Faversham with Canterbury from where connections can be made with routes covering most of Kent.
