So whether you’re looking for fine dining in elegant surroundings, a dinner-dance with live music or a themed disco, you can be sure of an enjoyable time. As Britain’s oldest brewer, our attention to detail and reputation for excellence are second-to-none. Our Functions Co-ordinators will guide you through the planning for your special event, tailoring the arrangements to meet your individual wishes. Our menus are designed to appeal to most tastes, each dish is homemade and our chefs pride themselves on using fresh local and seasonal produce where possible. SPECIAL TOUCHES When you book a party or private dinner at Shepherd Neame you can tailor every aspect of the event to ensure the occasion is truly memorable. Our Function Co-ordinators will guide you through every stage of the planning and will pay special attention to every detail. We can provide special bottles of Celebration Ale personalised to your own specifications with unique labels designed around your event. These make wonderful souvenirs for your guests – or can be used to toast the occasion. Brewery Tours A Brewery Tour can be included in the day’s itinerary so your delegates can see behind the scenes and discover how beer is brewed as well as learning a little of Shepherd Neame’s rich history. Tours usually culminate with a fascinating tutored tasting with one of our expert guides.

ACCOMMODATION There are a number of Shepherd Neame hotels, inns and pubs with rooms within easy travelling distance of the brewery: The Sun Inn is just five minutes’ walk away and The Railway is also in Faversham town centre. Our Function Co-ordinators can provide more details of these and other properties, including country pubs and coastal hotels.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED How do we make a booking? Telephone the Visitor Centre on 01795 542285 to check availability and provisionally reserve your date with one of our Function Co-ordinators. We will hold your provisional booking for 14 days without a deposit. After 14 days a nonrefundable deposit of £500, along with a signed copy of our Booking Form and Terms & Conditions, is required to secure your date. Provisional bookings not confirmed after 14 days will be automatically released and re-offered. How soon should we confirm final numbers? Final numbers are required 3 weeks before the function. Full payment is required 14 days prior to the event. Extras will be settled on the day. You will be charged for the number of guests that you confirm, unless the number increases. Any increase in numbers must be discussed prior to your function. How can we pay? You can pay by cheque (payable to Shepherd Neame Limited) or by most major credit and debit cards. Can children attend? Certainly; children under 5 years are free of charge. Children aged 5 – 10 years are charged 50% of the adult price and we will provide either a smaller portion of the adult choice or a child’s meal – whichever you prefer. Please note those aged under 18 may not consume alcoholic drinks (Section 149 Licensing Act 2003) and, to avoid any embarrassment on the day, we request that you ensure any guests aged under 18 (and their parents) are reminded of this. Can we store clothes or presents in the Visitor Centre? Depending on other bookings, we may be able to provide an area in which items can be left, however Shepherd Neame will not accept liability for items stored or left on the premises.

What time will our function finish? The Visitor Centre is licensed until 11.00pm for live music, discos and dancing. Bar sales must also cease at this time on Sundays to Thursdays but can continue until 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays – we will normally call “last orders” around 20 minutes before the bar closes. If you book The Old Brewery Store for your evening party, the standard finish time for bar, live music and discos is 11.00pm, however, for a supplement of £150, you can extend this to 12.00 midnight. Do we pay a Damage Deposit? Yes, we will require a £500 refundable Damage Deposit. This should be paid by credit card. In the event of damage to equipment or property, the cost of repair or replacement shall be deducted from the damage deposit and balance refunded. Can we bring our own drinks?
