WELCOME TO SHEFEST 2020 SheFest is a not-for-profit organisation made up of local volunteers. Since we began in 2015, SheFest has been championing women’s rights and gender equality through a range of inclusive events, activities, workshops, film screenings and more.
We’re delighted to welcome model and social activist Munroe Bergdorf to Sheffield for International Women’s Day. Alongside this, we’ll bring festivities to Barnsley in collaboration with awardwinning blogger Katie Portman and renowned life coach Lisa Walker.
With a feminist fringe festival made up of ten days of inclusive events in celebration of International Women’s Day (March 8th), we welcome everyone to join in, try something new and have fun. For the first time ever this year, we’re excited to expand across the whole of South Yorkshire, with events in Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Rotherham.
Celebrate with us at Record Junkee on March 14th and send off SheFest with a bang with our closing party brought to you by Boxie, or if you’re in Rotherham then why not check out The Rude Awakening, a show by international cabaret star Amber Topaz.
Kicking off SheFest 2020 is Lioness Theatre in Doncaster with their production Tonehenge, a captivating story of trauma and recovery. SheFest Saturday takes place on March 7th, where once again, we’ll be taking over Tudor Square and Winter Gardens with a whole host of talented female musicians and performers, alongside street food, stalls, activities and more.
That’s just a taste of what’s in store! Join SheFest as we challenge, empower and celebrate the women of the seven hills and beyond as we promote #EACHFOREQUAL

Between courses of our delicious vegan meal made from surplus food, listen and engage with various speakers and storytellers on the dynamic relationship between women and food.
EVE APPEAL Eve Appeal is the UK’s only national charity funding research and raising awareness into the five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal. Each year in the UK, over 21,000 women are diagnosed with a form of gynaecological cancer. So, we’ve chosen Eve Appeal as our charity for 2020 to help fund vital research and promote open conversations surrounding gynae health. We will be collecting donations online via our ticket sales on Tickets For Good and via donation buckets at events across the festival. Please donate what you can! You can find out more about Eve Appeal and AskEve – a free, confidential information service, by heading to www.eveappeal.org.uk
