Skillful knowledge of both wood and metal working tools and machines, MIG welding, vacuum forming, hand rendering, sketching, model making, and hand drafting. I have had experience 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC routing. Employment Kingsley and Company Cincinnati, Ohio Sep - Nov 2017 (Project Manager/ Property Manager) My responsibilities included, but were not limited to evaluating projects, drawing new project floor plans, supervising contractors, providing scope of work, and overseeing renovations, as well as leasing out rental properties, completing general tenant work orders, and organizing leases. Arcanum Architecture, LLC. Madeira, Ohio May 2015 - Sep 2017 (Architectural co-op turned into full-time job) With only my boss and myself in the office, I performed most of the same tasks and he did. Marous Brothers Construction Willoughby, Ohio Aug - Dec 2014 (Architectural co-op) I performed a variety of tasks including the production of construction drawings and documents for preliminary and final designs, documentation for historic preservation/ renovation, field measurements and documentation. Neighborhood Design Center Columbus, Ohio Jan - Apr 2014 (Architectural co-op) I worked on the design team to help improve small businesses around the city of Columbus. I had my own client and worked one on one with them to reach their design goals. This experience greatly improved my design skills and gave me a working knowledge of the design field. Interests I have wanted to be an architect since I was in grade school and am so excited to finally be doing what I love. I enjoy anything sports related, being outside, and love getting dirty and working with my hands. The most important aspects of my life are faith, family, and constantly making myself a better all-around person. I have a great passion for everything I do. I am committed to seeing all projects through to completion and ultimately achieving my goals in a timely and efficient manner. I enjoy working with people on a daily basis and keeping customers happy.

This was a semester long project in which I was to design a public library to fit into an existing site in Clifton, Cincinnati, Ohio. I was given limitations and restrictions to follow and was free to design whatever I saw as a best fit for the site. My library was designed to emphasize the sight out of the front, south facing wall. Circulation, openness, and minimalism are also key elements to my design.

This was a new build, modern home that I had the unforgettable opportunity to be a large help in all aspects of the project. From helping demolish the old home on site, aiding in the initial design, and working directly with the client to progress the design, to helping complete construction drawings and details, and submitting for permit, I was very involved with this home. The complexity of the design alone, required many hours of careful thought and extremely detailed drawings to move through to completion. This was my first “start to finish” residential project where I truly had an impact on all aspects of the build, and learned so much about architecture and construction. 10

The goal of this project was to fit 30+ apartment units of different sizes in a given lot in OTR, Cincinnati. We were given certain precedents to follow and to use as inspiration, mine being Unite De’Habitacion by Le Corbusier. By creating separate modules, and wrapping the apartments around each other, similar to what Corbusier did, I was able to easily meet my criteria, while remaining aesthetically pleasing and functional. The modularity of the units would be come effective and easy to construct off site. On the ground level, multiple commercial shops line the streets, creating spaces for shopping, eating, and parking. 2 0

Louder than a Bomb

Louder than a Bomb is a youth poetry competition designed by the Young Chicago Authors in 2001 to be a platform that not only gives youth a voice, but gives them a chance to share their stories. The value of the program is that it offers a vehicle for the voice of the youth, while providing mentorship and guidance. This studio was a collaboration between LTAB Cincinnati, and US’s MetroLab. It was a group effort to design and build performance enviornments for the poets, and to create exhibition spaces, all while using materials for something completely opposite than they were meant for. Our work was on display at the CAC downtown.

Furniture Design

These were pieces of furniture I designed and built myself in a furniture/ millwork studio. Each piece is functional, modular, and made from reclaimed materials. The goal of these designs was to create a usable, durable piece of furniture that the average person could build cheaply, easily, and quickly. I take pride in my craft and creativity, and still use both the table and the chair today.

24

Expression

Designed to express visual movement, datum, and circulation, and to push the limits of weight and balance. Each model is an extension of the one previous to it, moving from line, plane, volume, an extrusion of that volume, and then an armature that is a combination of each.

26

Tectonics

These models are part of a series, designed to convey the idea of a stacked arch dome. Each iteration is defined by an array or crossing and stacking arched members that rotate at each tier to create a dome.
