HOUSING ROADMAP VISION STATEMENT

Every Filipino Family has the right to live with dignity in the comfort of one’s own home, regardless of economic status. With full government support, the housing industry envisions to eliminate the housing backlog by the year 2030.


COMMITMENTS OF THE HOUSING SECTOR

REDUCE HOUSING GAP (eliminate housing backlog) GIVE PRIORITY TO THE PROBLEM OF THE HOMELESS POOR (live with dignity regardless of economic status) INCENTIVES FOR LGUs AND PRIVATE SECTOR TO LEAD IN THE PRODUCTION OF THE HOUSING SECTOR (full government support)


OBJECTIVE 1 – INCREASE HOUSING PRODUCTION Incentives for LGUs and the Private Sector through active participation in legislative reforms and dialogue with concerned agencies Addressing Housing Demand through research, consultations with stakeholders

Maximization of Acquired Assets through policy reforms


OBJECTIVE 2 – COMPREHENSIVE GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY PROGRAM TO ENHANCE AFFORDABILIT Y

Strict monitoring of target beneficiaries – Alphalisting Partnership with government agencies in data generation and monitoring Data sharing with other KSAs Rental Housing/Other forms of meeting housing needs


OBJECTIVE 3 – GENERATE AND MOBILIZE FUNDS FOR END-USER FINANCING

APPRAISAL COLLECTION DISPOSAL OF ACQUIRED ASSETS


OBJECTIVE 4 – IMPROVEMENT OF HOUSING REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT  Coordination with other government agencies (DOJ, DOF, BIR)  HUDC Council (creation of committees), Human Development and Property Cluster  Drafting of IRR for certain provisions of Law  Resolution of conflicts between provisions of Law and Issuances  Creation of a Housing Sector Legislative Team  Consultations with stakeholders  Housing Policy Working Committee


OBJECTIVE 4 – IMPROVEMENT OF HOUSING REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT Partnership with other government agencies in data generation and monitoring Environment-friendly technologies (AITECH Accreditation) Recognition of the effects of climate change (active relocation of those living in danger areas, advance preparation in case of calamities or emergency situations) Harmonization of laws and Issuances affecting Housing Active participation in the Legislative Process
