youth for christ

As there are three contact days a week you will be able to continue other part time work and Church involvement. Youth for Christ is part of the Australian College of Ministries training network RTO #90965.
Training. Ministry. Growth
The year will help train and develop you as a leader in your community; doing so by equipping you with practical ministry skills through YFC training and completion of a Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology (30772QLD) with the Australian College of Ministries (ACOM). Study is completed at your local YFC Branch during the year.
Youth for Christ exists to give every young person in Australia an opportunity to encounter God and experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ. We love the young people of our nation and are committed to help them reach their God-given potential physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

What you need to know
So how do I apply?
If you are aged 17-21, love Jesus and want to share His love and hope to others, then the answer is YOU! Youth for Christ Australia invites you to join our dynamic team and come on the adventure of a lifetime.
The internship fee is $5800. This fee covers your Certificate IV Training, your registration and travel expenses for YFC National Conference and a North West WA mission trip, plus much more during this amazing year.
As an intern you will join other like minded young people to form the ‘Lightside’ Team whose mission is to reflect God’s light and offer His sure hope to all.
YFC believes in developing a generation of Young Leaders. Because of this we are offering a limited number of scholarships for successful applicants. If a scholarship is not awarded then the overall cost can be paid in instalments if necessary.
If you are interested in applying please contact your local branch by phone or email and they will send you the application forms. Applications are to be returned by November 1st. Applicants will be short listed for interviews and referees will be contacted to assist this process.
What does the year involve?
As YFC is a faith funded movement, you will also be trained and assisted to build a missional support network to encourage you and help fund your internship fees.
Lightside is an internship model of YFC Australia. The year is an opportunity to stretch yourself, experience a challenge, grow, serve God and help other young people to discover hope and a future.
If you have concerns about not being able to afford the course, please discuss this with the Internship Coordinator at your local YFC Branch.
The YFC Lightside team will be involved in YFC mission activities, serving the needs of your local youth. Different YFC branches run a range of missional activities for youth such as school seminars, sports ministry, working with homeless youth and planning and running camps. The internship starts in January with you attending YFC National Conference and is followed by intensive training and hands-on experience in youth ministry led by our trained YFC Coordinators. You’ll then get opportunities to deliver a variety of exciting missional activities as part of the team. Using these interactive and exciting YFC programs to connect with k like? other young people, the internship teams will bring the Gospel week loo al ic p y t message to young people all over the Nation. uld a What wo Friday
