The image I have created here was to implicate the feminist movement in the 1970’s. I thought the idea of using tailors dummy's and attaching images of human heads onto them would help incorporate the surrealism art movement as well. the images of the heads are of women from this decade and the background image is what streets in the 1970s looked like. This image is built up on layers to create the illusion there is a large group of women protesting. The styling of my model was to incorporate the time period the image is set in for example the head scarf, because women tend to wear head scarfs a lot when cleaning and tidying, the fur coat and chiffon maxi skirt again because this was the dress sense during this era. I think this image successfully portrays the feminist movement however, if I were to redo this I would probably spend more time on preparing for the shoot and editing the image so that it was clearer and of a higher creative standard.
