Fall 2012 – M 100 Portfolio Assignment Your professional portfolio is a guide to your experiences at NC State, not just in the classroom, but beyond. Thinking about what you will participate in outside of class is critical to your future success. Throughout the next four years (or however long you have remaining), there will be many things in which to consider getting involved. Make your decisions wisely, your time is precious and everything you choose will reflect on you at NC State and beyond. By the end of this semester, you will have heard about several of these opportunities and received in-depth information about each of them. Use this information to complete your personal portfolio, starting from today and moving forward. Consider what you will do each school year and the summers in between. Make decisions based on your experiences and information you have gathered through M 100. By completing the chart on the other side of this page, you will begin to see how each of these activities will prepare you for success! Below you will find a short list of examples of activities you may consider getting involved in during your time as a student. This list is by no means comprehensive, there are many other opportunities for you to think about including as part of your journey to success. We hope that this process will be a good start to developing an actual professional portfolio – one you can use in the future for job-search processes and many other uses!
