Lion & Dragon DANCE According to Chinese tradition, dancers used to wear masks that imitated mythical beasts. Before the Han Dynasty, the lion was considered a mythical or non-existent creature because none of its kind existed during that time. It was only during the Silk Road trade period that lions came to settle in China, and dancers imitated the movements of the lions then. Today, lion dances are now performed around the world during big events, openings and other places to bring in good luck. Make some noise for 2017 with drumbeats and the Lion and Dragon dance at the lobby driveway.
