In some small studies the search for the ideal market configuration, answering to the criteria of this first order in the system, is done. The diagrams on this page show the current market configuration, the studies for a new configuration and the ideal configuration answering to the criteria. The variant d. is chosen as the ideal configuration, for in this layout the market, the square and the monument are integrated in the first order. These parts are at the same time
interrelated to each other so that there is no fragmentation of program and the whole square is part of the the first order system. Of course however this is only a study showing how the criteria can be used for the spatial design of the space. This is not a fixed proposal but merely a demonstration of the translation of the principles at hand.
