who am i?

who am i? Just another statistic? As good as anyone else? Number one?

I looked at what I had done, and I thought about all the hard work. Suddenly I realised it was useless, like chasing the wind. There is nothing to gain from anything we do here on earth.

People come into this world with nothing, and when they die they leave with nothing. In spite of all their hard work, they leave just as they came. Ecclesiastes 5:15

Ecclesiastes 2:11

True for you?

I decided that the dead are better off than the living. But those who have never been born are better off still; they have not seen the evil that is done here on earth. Ecclesiastes 4:2-3

True for you?

LORD, you have examined me and know all about me. You know when I sit down and when I get up. You know my thoughts before I think them. You know where I go and where I lie down. You know thoroughly everything I do. Psalm 139:1-3

LORD, even before I say a word, you already know it. You are all around me – in front and at the back – and have put your hand on me. Your knowledge is amazing to me; it is more than I can understand. Psalm 139:4-6

where have I come from?

An accident? A deliberate choice? A previous life?

The same thing happens to animals and to people; they both have the same breath ... both came from dust and both will go back to dust. Ecclesiastes 3:19-20

True for you?

whatever your start in life, God is your real creator

God who made the whole world and everything in it is the Lord of the land and the sky. ... God is the One who gives life, breath and everything else to people. ... God began by making one person, and from him came all the different people who live everywhere in the world. Acts 17:24-26

You made my whole being; you formed me in my mother's body. I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. What you have done is wonderful. I know this very well. You saw my bones being formed as I took shape in my mother's body. When I was put together there, you saw my body as it was formed. All the days planned for me were written in your book before I was one day old. Psalm 139:13-16

Know that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him. Psalm 100:3

why am I here? Wish I knew! To survive! To have a good time‌

The wise person and the fool will both die, and no one will remember either one for long. In the future, both will be forgotten. Ecclesiastes 2:16

you are important to God Jesus said: "Two sparrows cost only a penny, but not even one of them can die without your Father's knowing it. God even knows how many hairs are on your head. So don't be afraid. You are worth much more than many sparrows. All those who stand before others and say they believe in me, I will say before my Father in heaven that they belong to me. But all who stand before others and say they do not believe in me, I will say before my Father in heaven that they do not belong to me." Matthew 10:29-33

Jesus said: "Those who love their lives

God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners. ... While we were God's enemies, he made friends with us through the death of his Son.

will lose them, but those who hate their lives in this world will keep true life for ever. Whoever serves me must follow me. Then my servant will be with me everywhere I am. My Father will honour

Romans 5:8,10 anyone who serves me." John 12:25-26

where am I going?

Nowhere - death is the end I don’t want to think about it Heaven‌ hopefully

The living know they will die, but the dead know nothing. Dead people have no more reward, and people forget them. Ecclesiastes 9:5

True for you?

life after death is real

When Christ comes again, those who belong to him will be raised to life, and then the end will come. At that time Christ will destroy all rulers, authorities and powers, and he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father. Christ must rule until he puts all enemies under his control. The last enemy to be destroyed will be death. 1 Corinthians 15:23-26

Jesus said: "I tell you the truth, whoever hears what I say and believes in the One who sent me has eternal life. That person will not be judged guilty but has already left death and entered life. I tell you the truth, the time is coming and is already here when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will have life. John 5:24-25

Jesus said: "Don't be surprised at this: a time is coming when all who are dead and in their graves will hear his voice. Then they will come out of their graves. Those who did good will rise and have life for ever, but those who did evil will rise to be judged guilty." John 5:28-29

who am i?

God’s child? Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is God’s child. I John 5:1

This is how God showed his love to us: he sent his one and only Son into the world so that we could have life through him. This is what real love is: it is not our love for God; it is God's love for us in sending his Son to be the way to take away our sins. I John 4:9-10

God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life, but whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:11-12

The Father has loved us so much that we are called children of God. And we really are his children. The reason the people in the world do not know us is that they have not known him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and we have not yet been shown what we will be in the future. But we know that when Christ comes again, we will be like him, because we will see him as he really is. 1 John 3:1-2

want to know more? Read the Bible, which is God’s Word to everyone. It tells you much more about who God is, who you are, and what he wants to do in your life. Perhaps start with the first letter of John which is near the end of the New Testament.
