Report of general counsel There will be a closed session to talk about pending litigation and labor negotiations.
Tenant representative report a. City Wide Council – senior/disabled (“CCSD”) Ms. Dorothy Ramey reported that she is working with Mr. Davis to start monitoring the elections for the various buildings that need to come into compliance. b. Public Housing Tenant Association (“PHTA”) Ms. Neola Gans reported that the PHTA will be conducting the summer lunch orientation on Tuesday, May 31st. The PHTA elections will be held on June 8th.
Public comment on agenda items
Ms. Leslie Arnold expressed her grievance and said that the claim she had filed with the SFHA in 2010 and had not received any response. Vice President Mirian Saez commented that although Ms. Leslie Arnold wasnâ€™t speaking in the right place in the agenda, the Commission allowed it. 7.

[Resolution Approving the First Amendment to the Exclusive Negotiation Rights Agreement and Execution of a Term Sheet with BRIDGE Housing for Potrero] Consideration and Approval. Presented by Dominica Henderson, Management Analyst, Housing Development and Modernization. Commissioner Matthew Schwartz excused himself from items 1 and 2 due to conflict of interest. 2. [First Amendment to the Exclusive Negotiating Rights Agreement and Execution of a Term Sheet with Mercy Housing California and Related Companies for Sunnydale] Consideration and Approval. Presented by Dominica Henderson, Management Analyst, Housing Development and Modernization. Commissioner Ahsha Safai requested to invite Mercy to future Commission meeting to go over the extensive questions that the Commission has. He also asked if any part of McLaren Park would be utilized or built on as part of the development. Ms. Ramey Deer from Mercy Housing responded that the proposal is to expand Herz Playground. Dr. Veronica Hunnicutt asked if any current residents would be displaced while the upgrades are happening.
Vice President Mirian Saez asked if current residents who would like to move from the site would be allowed to do so, and if they would also be allowed to return to the site once redevelopment is complete. 3. Financial reports Mr. Herb Lum presented the financial reports for the 7 month period ending April 30, 2011. Vice President Mirian Saez asked what savings are anticipated from the recent adjustment to staff. Mr. Virgilio Chua presented the Balance Sheets and the Tenant Accounts Receivable as of April 30, 2011. Commissioner Matthew Schwartz asked what had caused the increase in the negative current liabilities. Commissioner Dr. Veronica Hunnicutt asked if there was a reason for the higher number of delinquent accounts at the Sunnydale site. Commissioner Ahsha Safai requested that staff prepares a report on how the SFHA stands compared to other Housing Authorities of other cities. Ms. Pamela Palpallatoc presented the Corrective Action Plans. 9.
Public comment on items not on the agenda Mr. Dante Westbrook, Director of Tennis Program at Ella Hill Hutch, read letters stating their accomplishments from various companies. Mr. Ace Washington doesn’t like that SFHA is taking over Ella Hill Hutch and doesn’t understand how they are going to be able to manage Ella Hill Hutch when they cannot manage their facilities. Mr. Lynn Daniels says that most people, who move into a SRO, can not move out.
