42. WEIGHT TRAINING BEFORE CARDIO? So you do cardio before weight training, or do you hit the weight room before stepping onto the treadmill for a run? Does it really matter which you do first? Most people have their personal preference. Some like to do cardio first to get it “out of the way” so they can focus on strength-training, while others prefer to flex their muscles first. There’s not necessarily a right or wrong way to sequence your workout, but if you want to maximize fat-burning and muscle strength, pick up the weights first. Here’s why.

44. 5 GIFTS THAT WILL GET YOU DUMPED Let's face it, guys. Whether it's for an anniversary, Valentine's Day or her birthday, some of you really don't have a clue when it comes to buying a present for that special lady in your life.

50. WHY LAUGHING IS GOOD FOR YOU Have you ever heard someone say that laughter is the best medicine? It may sound like something your grandmother would come out with, but grandmothers are often very wise. Laughter really is excellent for your physical and mental wellbeing. Laughing is also very good for your social life.

52. 5 WAYS TO DEAL WITH A BREAKUP Break-ups are never easy, especially if you are not the one who ended the relationship. But if you want to get your life back after a relationship break-up, there are steps you can take to help you let go and move on. Here are 5 steps to dealing with a break-up.

MISSION WORKSHOP SANCTION RUCKSACK Carry everything you need for the day, night and afterwards with the Mission Workshop Sanction Rucksack ($180). Built with waterproof fabrics to military specifications, the Sanction offers multiple waterproof compartments, a large zippered pocket for your laptop or tablet, an internal frame sheet for extra support and urethane coated zippers. Available in a range of subdued colors including black, olive, gray and "charcoal."

ZIONEYEZ VIDEO RECORDING GLASSES Attention all lifestreamers: Ever get tired of holding up a camera all day, or worse yet, wearing some sort of incredibly dorky, WiFi enabled video helmet? ZionEyez Video Recording Glasses ($150) can fix all of that. These semi-stylish shades feature an integrated 720p video camera, Bluetooth to instantly transfer the stream to your iPhone or Android device for uploading and 8GB of flash memory in case you need to off-load your recordings later, secret agent-style. As a bonus, they come with clear and shaded removable lenses, so you don't have to worry about looking suspicious with your sunglasses on after sundown.

ICUFFLINKS

Inspired by Apple's everpresent aluminum power buttons, the iCufflinks ($130) are ready to add some Cupertino-style flair to your formal attire. These "open source" cufflinks are machined from 6 series aluminum, and thanks to a battery that screws inside the housing — along with a tiny circuit board and LED — they pulsate gently, subtly letting those around you know that not only do you mean business, but you might also be a robot.

ZAFIRRO IRIDIUM RAZORP Is your handsome mug insured for several million dollars? Then perhaps you can justify buying a Zafirro Iridium Razor ($100,000). This insanely-expensive razor is also insanely advanced, featuring a handle made from pure iridium — which is mainly derived from meteorites — particle-sharpened solid white sapphire blades with edges that are less than 100 atoms across — roughly 5,000 times thinner than a human hair — and pure platinum screws to hold the whole thing together. Limited to just 99 razors, although we suspect they may have trouble finding that many buyers.

CHOPARD L.U.C. TECH TWIST Avoid a dreaded duplicate boardshort meetup by picking up a pair of Quiksilver Custom Boardshorts ($100). Handmade to your specifications in Huntington Beach, CA, these simple shorts offer standard features like high-performance, quick drying polyester nylon, a double-up closure and eyelets for fast drainage, as well as your choice of colors and fabrics on the left and right, front and back panels, waistband, pocket flap, threading, drawcord, eyelets, logo and embroidery— pretty much anything you'd want.

WE ARE NOT CHEAP! WE ARE ALSO NOT OVER-PRICED. • We have Fancy Fu@#ing Stuff! • We don’t scramble to under-cut our competitors. • We love the people who make our stuff, and would never crap on their hard work by selling it for less than it’s worth. • We appreciate the time, effort, and materials it takes to make quality items. • We make sure that 25 random people didn’t tire kick in those booty shorts you just bought. • We make sure that our stuff is displayed prettily, our stuff doesn’t look all disheveled and tangled up. • We make sure you bought shoes that were not all streaked with stripper sweat from some grocery store footed bimbo. We have footies! • We do these things because we actually like you, and want to see your hard earned money well spent. • We give a (flip!) about the things we sell you; they are new, limited release, clean, current, matching and AWESOME! And when we are done making sure that you don’t walk out of here looking all crazy with a mis-matched outfit and a muffin top; WE WANT OUR MONEY!

GEAR

MAC OS X LION Packing in a whopping 250 new features, Mac OS X Lion ($30) looks to be a wor thy upgrade to Apple's awesome operating system. Available in July as a download from the Mac App Store, it'll bring new features including iOS-style full screen apps, new Multi-Touch gestures, Mission Control and Launchpad (new things for seeing all your apps at once and for finding and launching apps quicker), a redesigned Mail app, Auto Save for ever y thing and AirDrop (easy file sharing).

ARCADE LIGHT SWITCH If your love for token-powered gaming borders on the obsessive, you'll likely love this Arcade Light Switch ($35). Made using actual arcade machine push buttons, these switches install just like any other light switch, are available in a wide range of color combinations and make a great finishing touch for a retro-heavy game room.

HOVERBIKE Nope, it's not a bicycle version of the Hoverboard. Instead, the Hoverbike ($TBA) is a motorcycle-like ultralight aircraft that's powered by a flat twin 4-stroke. You ride the thing like a motorcycle, including handlebar-based speed and direction control, and thanks to its custom carbon fiber propellers, frame, driveshafts and seat, you should be able to make it almost 100 miles between fuel-ups. Oh, and did we mention it can reach altitudes of 10,000 feet plus? Yeah, that too. Expect to see one in the friendly skies near you just as soon as they can ensure that the thing won't accidentally crash and kill you.

NORTHSTAR BREW MASTER REFRIGERATOR What's better than having a brand-new, retro-style refrigerator? Having one with a beer tap built in. The Northstar Brew Master Refrigerator ($3,000-$5,300) comes in three styles — 1950, 1951, and 1952 — and arrives fresh from the factory with a through-the-door draught system pre-installed, including the tap dispenser, coupler, connections, CO2 cylinder and drip tray. As a bonus, you can choose to have it set up for your preferred keg style, letting you decide how much usable refrigerator is left over.

NINTENDO WII U

SONY PLAYSTATION VITA

Well, you can't blame them for trying. The new Nintendo Wii U ($TBA) is simultaneously one of the most interesting and most bizzare console systems we've ever seen, pairing a more powerful, 1080p-capable Wii-like box with an insane controller sporting a 6.2-inch touchscrreen, two analog sticks, a stylus, a front-facing camera, a full complement of buttons, an accelerometer and gyroscope, rumble capabilities, a microphone and stereo speakers. You'll be able to use the controller's screen to augment the action on your T V, or release the T V from its gaming duties and play right on the screen. Oh, and it supports all the existing Wii controllers and input devices, meaning there's going to be some seriously weird pairings before it's all said and done.

The argument can be made that dedicated portable gaming machines are on the way out, but if they are, they're going down swinging. Take the Sony PlayStation Vita ($250) for example. This replacement for the PSP features a five-inch, 960x544 OLED multi-touch screen, a quad-core ARM Cortex A9 processor, built-in stereo speakers, microphone, front and rear cameras, a six-axis motion sensing system, compass, Wi-Fi, optional 3G and GPS, a multitouch pad on the rear, Bluetooth, a memory card slot for expansion and all the controls you could want, including dual analog sticks, the classic PlayStation action buttons and shoulder buttons.

XPLODERZ WATER PELLET GUNS It's about time someone of fered all the advantages of paintball without the paint. Xploder z Water Pellet Guns ($15-$40) shoot pellets made of a super-absorbent polymer that you "grow" in water before loading into a car tr idge and slapping on your weapon of choice: either the pis tol-like XBlas ter 200, the mid-sized, Uzilike XStor mer 1000 or the sniper-s tyle XRanger 2000. As an added bonus, you can cr ush the spent ammo into your yard to help it s tay healthy in the dr y heat — the polymer was designed by the Depar tment of Agr iculture, af ter all.

iCLOUD Syncing all your stuf f between all your digital devices is going to eventually drive you insane. Apple is here, once again, to help. iCloud (Free/$25 a year) seamlessly stores your music, photos, apps, email, calendars and documents, and wirelessly pushes them to all your devices automatically so ever ything stays up to date and in sync. When something changes on one of your devices, all of your others are wirelessly updated almost instantly. You can also use iTunes Match to have all of your ripped music available to you on any device for a yearly fee. You've been hearing about this "cloud" stuf f on crappy IBM commercials for a year, but now (well, this fall when iOS 5 is released) you'll actually benefit from it.

WHAT ARE THEY WORTH? JENNIFER ANISTON $120 MILLION Jennifer Aniston is an American television and film actress with a long filmography of comedic roles, a world-record salary and a current net worth of $115 million. Born in Sherman Oaks, California, and raised in New York City, Aniston moved to Los Angeles in 1989 and worked a variety of part-time jobs before landing her first television roles. From 1994 to 2004, she starred as Rachel Green on the long-running sitcom "Friends," which made her a household name (and the basis of a popular haircut), and for which she won an Emmy in 2002 and a Golden Globe in 2003. During the 2003 and 2004 seasons of the show, Aniston and her female costars each earned $1 million per episode, making them the highest-paid TV actresses of all time. Coinciding with and following her time on "Friends," she has appeared in a variety of films, notably Bruce Almighty, Along Came Polly, The Break-Up and the independent drama The Good Girl, which earned her praise in the critical media. In 2000, Aniston married longtime boyfriend Brad Pitt in an elaborate ceremony in Malibu; the two split in 2005, and Aniston has since been linked with actor Vince Vaughn and singer John Mayer.

MATT LEBLANC

$60 MILLION

Matthew Steven “Matt” LeBlanc was born July 25, 1967 in Newton, Massachusetts. He is best known for portraying the character Joey Tribbiani on the hit TV sitcom “Friends” which ran from 1994 to 2004. He graduated high school in 1985 and went on to attend the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. But he left shortly after starting his second semester. In the 1980s, he appeared in a series of television commercials for such national known products as Heinz and Coca-Cola. In 1988, he landed his first TV role for the show “TV 101” which only lasted one season. He also appeared in a various music videos for artists such as Bon Jovi, and Bob Seger. His biggest break didn’t come until he auditioned for the role of Joey on “Friends,” a part he went on to play for ten seasons. His most notable movie roles have been in Ed, All The Queen’s Men, Lost In Space, and Charlie’s Angels. In May of 2003, LeBlanc married his longtime girlfriend, Melissa McKnight, and together the couple have a daughter Marina, who was born in 2004. The couple later separated in 2006. LeBlanc currently resides in Los Angeles.

COURTNEY COX $75 MILLION "Your job's a joke, you're broke, your love life's DOA!"... not so much for Courtney Cox who's net worth is approximately $75 million thanks primarily to the TV show "Friends." Born June 15, 1964 in Alabama, Courtney Cox did not hit it big until moving to New York City and signing with Ford Modeling Agency. After dabbling in modeling, Cox attended acting classes and landed a role on one episode of “As the World Turns” in 1984. Her first big break, however, was being cast by Brian De Palma in the infamous Bruce Springsteen video “Dancing in The Dark.” Soon after, she joined the cast of the highly successful sitcom, “Family Ties” in which she played Michael J. Fox’s girlfriend. In 1994, Cox’s luck was at a high when she was cast in both Jim Carrey’s hit, “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” and as Monica Geller on the comedy hit “Friends.” It was this part that led to an American Comedy Award nomination. Cox was also a part of Wes Craven’s highly successful trilogy, “Scream,” in which she played neurotic report, Gale Weathers. Cox married actor David Arquette in 1999 with whom she has one daughter with. She currently resides in California and stars on the ABC hit comedy, “Cougar Town,” alongside Christa Miller and Busy Philips. >

LISA KUDROW $60 MILLION With a net worth estimated at nearly $60 million, Lisa Kudrow can rescue every single smelly cat in the world. Known best for her role as Phoebe Buffay on the decadelong sitcom "Friends," Kudrow was born in Encino, California on July 30, 1963. The youngest of three children in an upper middle class Jewish family, Kudrow initially believed she might follow in the footsteps of her father, a doctor and headache specialist. She used her biology degree earned from Vassar College to work for eight years in her father’s practice before she got her acting break. Those initial acting stints centered on comedy. Kudrow belonged to improv and comedy troupes before landing small roles on Cheers and Bob Newhart sitcoms. Her portrayal of Ursula Buffay, an oddball waitress on the 1990s NBC sitcom "Mad About You" led to her eventual role as the naïve, aloof massage therapist Phoebe Buffay. Although Ursula and Phoebe were cast in two different NBC shows, they were twins in both storylines. Quirky Phoebe Buffay endeared many "Friends" fans because she was a host of personal contradictions. For example, she was a vegetarian who ate meat while

she was pregnant and an animal rights activist who once wore a fur that she inherited. The character was well-known for breaking into bizarre, folksy songs while playing an acoustic guitar. In 1998, Kudrow’s portrayal of this character helped her become the first "Friends" cast member to win an Emmy for a supporting role. She and co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox set a world record when they became the highest paid television actresses ever, each earning $1 million an episode.

MATTHEW PERRY $70 MILLION Matthew Langford Perry was born August 19, 1969 in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He got his professional acting break at age 18 being cast in “A Night In The Life Of Jimmy Reardon” with River Phoenix. He also pursued improve comedy at the LA Connection in Sherman Oaks, and quickly became a featured performer. He had a few brief guest appearances on television in the late 1980s, and then held the intention of enrolling in the University of Southern California. Instead, he was offered the role of Chazz Russell in “Second Chance”, and he became noticed on the acting scene. He was originally not considered for the audition for “Friends,” due to being previously involved in a TV drama called “LAX 2194.” But the project was slow to take off, and Perry was able to make the audition, landing him the role of Chandler Bing for which he is mostly known. The series lasted for a total of ten seasons, even earning Perry an Emmy nomination in 2002. During his run of “Friends," he acted in several films such as Three To Tango, Almost Heroes, Fools Rush In and The Whole Nine Yards. He stared in the TNT movie The Ron Clark Story in 2006, for which he was nominated for another Emmy, as well as a Golden Globe. Perry is currently working on a sitcom for ABC entitled “Mr. Sunshine.”

DAVID SCHWIMMER $8O MILLION David Schwimmer is a New York-born actor and director with an estimated net worth of $80 million dollars. After a number of smaller roles, David Schwimmer was cast as one of the leads in the sitcom “Friends." Since “Friends” completed its run in 2004 he has continued to act on both the British and American stages and directed his first feature film, “Run Fatboy Run” in 2007.

WHAT ARE THEY WORTH? JERRY SEINFELD $800 MILLION Jerry Seinfeld is an American comedian with a net worth of $800 million. Seinfeld spent almost 15 years grinding out a career as a stand-up comedian. But he was a successful comic, the kind that regularly appears on the "Tonight Show" and David Letterman. It’s true that the nine years he spent writing and staring along with co-creator Larry David and starring in his own television series "Seinfeld" was no cake walk. It takes hard work to create the most successful television show of all time. Of course the last ten years of family life and semi-retirement have been busy, and not always relaxing. Hey, it ain’t easy becoming Jerry Seinfeld, but it’s sure nice to be him. How nice? How about $750 million worth of nice. Yes, the hilarious Mr. Seinfeld has built quite the piggy bank. While much of his income has come from his eponymous show and its years of lucrative syndication, Jerry has also made millions as a bestselling author and public speaker. His endorsement deals have also hit gold; notably, he was paid $10 million to make a handful of ads for Microsoft in 2008. It took some work, but Jerry has also been successful in his private life. After dating a 17 year-old girl while he was in his late 30’s, Jerry broke up a newlywed couple in the late 1990’s so he could marry the lovely Jessica Sklar. The pair have been married for ten years and have three children. Together they share a $50 million estate in East Hampton, a Manhattan apartment overlooking Central Park and a home in Telluride. When he’s not making his kids laugh, Jerry spends his free time tending a serious love of cars. He is one of the largest collectors of Porches in the world— he owns 46, including a $700,000 Porsche 959. Jerry’s newest venture is an NBC reality show called “Marriage Ref.”

LARRY DAVID $800 MILLION Larry David made a whole lot of real money off of a "show about nothing". As the co-creator and executive producer of "Seinfeld" as well as HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Larry has amassed an impressive fortune north of $800 million. It goes without saying that was Larry paid handsomely for his writing, creating and producing duties during "Seinfeld's" 9 year run. Maybe not as much as Jerry's $1 million per episode but still a hefty sum. The real windfall came when Seinfeld was sold in to syndication to Columbia Tristar. The day Seinfeld was sold into syndication Larry earned an estimated $650 million. Add to that his prior personal fortune of $30 million plus all the money he has earned since starring in "Curb" and Larry is a very happy man. Another great annuity for David has been the periodic releases of "Seinfeld" DVD box sets. Every few years a new season is unleashed to a frenzied public with a huge marketing blitz. DVD sales can easily add another $40-50 million to Larry's bottom line. His enthusiasm may be curbed, but his earning potential is far from it.

JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS $3 BILLION (NOT A MISPRINT) You're eyes aren't deceiving you and no we did not make a mistake when we say that Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the actress who played Elaine Benes in "Seinfeld," has a personal fortune of $3 billion. How is it possible that Julia has nearly 5 times more money thanLarry David and Jerry Seinfeld combined? It's not from acting, it's not from endorsements, it's not from investing in real estate. Nope, a little known fact is that Julia is lucky to be the eldest daughter of billionaire Gerard Louis-Dreyfus, chairman of the Louis Dreyfus Energy Services. Now to be fair, Julia's father is still alive (born in 1932) as is her mother and step mother. She also has four siblings. But word on the street is that Julia is the apple of her father's eye after all the success she had without relying on her family name or connections. This success outside the family business earned Louis-Drefuys millions of dollars of her very own both from Seinfeld as well as her recent hit "The New Adventures of Old Christine." But the real money will come through inheritance. I wonder how Jerry and Larry, George, and Kramer feel about being the poor friends of Elaine!

JERRY STILLER $12.5 MILLION As the short, hypertensive male counterpart of the stellar husband-and-wife comedy team "Stiller & Meara," Jerry Stiller and wife Anne Meara were on top of the comedy game in the 1960s, a steady and hilarious presence on TV variety, notably "The Ed Sullivan Show" (1948), on which they appeared 36 times. Decades later his career was revitalized in the role of the raucous, gasket-blowing Frank Costanza on the sitcom classic "Seinfeld." Then came eight seasons as Frank Costanza and his character star was reborn. Nominated for a 1997 Emmy Award and the recipient of the 1998 American Comedy Award, Stiller found back-to-back sitcom hits with "The King of Queens" as the irascible Arthur Spooner. He has also appeared in a number of his successful son, Ben Stiller's, comedy pictures including Heavy Weights and Zoolander. His daughter, Amy Stiller, is also a thriving actress. He and Anne have written, performed and produced award-winning radio commercials together for such products as Blue Nun Wine, United Van Lines and Amalgamated Bank, among others. His autobiography "Married to Laughter," came out in 2000.

Michael Richards has an estimated net worth of $45 million. Michael Anthony Richards was born July 24, 1949 in Culver City, California. He is an American actor and comedian, best known for his role as Cosmo Kramer on the hit 90’s sitcom “Seinfeld.” He attended the California Institute of the Arts, but graduated with a BA in drama from The Evergreen State College in 1975. During this time period he also had a short lived improv act with Ed Begley Jr. During the Vietnam War he was drafted, and served in the Army for 2 years. He got his first big TV break in 1979, appearing on Billy Crystal’s first cable TV special. His role as Kramer came in 1989. The show was off to a slow start, but by the mid 90s it had become one of the most popular sitcoms on TV. Richards won more Emmys than any other cast member, taking home the award Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1993, 1994 and 1997. Richards was also the original actor considered for the lead role on the show “Monk.” For a short time he was married to former casting director Cathleen Lyons, and they had a daughter together. They divorced in 1992. In 2007, Richards got engaged to actress Beth Skip. He currently resides in Glendale, California.

JASON ALEXANDER $75 MILLION Jason Alexander was born in New Jersey and has an estimated net worth of $75 million dollars. Jason Alexander is an award-winning comedian, actor, and singer, most widely recognized for his roles as George Costanza on “Seinfeld” and as Richard Gere’s lawyer in “Pretty Woman." He has appeared on Broadway several times and won a Tony Award for his performance in Jerome Robbins’ Broadway in 1989.

WOMEN'S BODY ISSUES: THEIR FAULT NOT OURS

W

ith the weather getting warmer, we're all worried about how to prep our bodies for the beach... and how to do it fast. Women more than men will feel like kicking themselves for the weight they put on during the colder months, when bikinis seemed far, far away.

But what women don’t know is that many men get logs in their pants when they see extra curves on the ladies. Did any of us really swear off Jessica Simpson when she gained a few extra pounds after her divorce? Sure, Kirstie Alley blew up too far to handle, and she was looney-tunes long before the weight gain anyway. Still, a little meat on a woman is sexy. Weight and sexual attraction There was a beautiful woman in my office that every man lusted after. She was one of those women who never saw herself as attractive, which gave her a great personality without the usual inferiority issues. She had perfect curves, large but not unmanageable breasts, and I often thought of how delightful it would be to hold onto her ass as I did her doggie style. That’s just the romantic in me. When she got divorced, another woman told me that this goddess admitted to having a crush on me. I had one of those “should-seek-medical-help” erections for days even without Viagra. Her divorce crushed her and she started losing weight. Her breasts shrank, her hips and butt disappeared and, as became more and more able to hide behind a broom handle, my sexual desire for her disappeared. She was just too skinny. While clothes hide a few extra pounds on a person, with the exception of muffintop hip-huggers and too-small midriff-showing tops, the same can be said for women who are too skinny. I once had a woman appear nude and willing out

of my bathroom, but the sight of her ribs and bony hips turned me off. I quickly came up with an excuse to keep from having sex with her. To this day, I don't think she ever believed I turned gay while she was disrobing in the bathroom. Women’s body issues come from other women Many women believe it is men who force the ideal of the size-three figure on a woman, but it’s not -- it’s other women. As comedienne Carol Leifer wrote for a Seinfeld episode where Jerry and George ask Elaine how women torture each other if not by giving wedgies, she replies: “We just tease her about a body part until she develops an eating disorder.”

If you want the truth, ask a comedian. It’s advertising and fashion that lie. Are those male-dominated? Well, fashion is, but I doubt that most male designers really have much more than a professional interest in women's breasts and asses. The women’s publications are not run or written by men -- and in a recent Marie Claire blog post, a female writer penned a brutal review of the show Mike & Molly for daring to show overweight people on TV. That show, meanwhile, has actually climbed to the top of the CBS lineup. The viewing public speaks. Maura Kelly: case in point Maura Kelly, the Marie Claire author who attacked television "fatties," has a profile picture that makes her look like the type of woman who shows up to a second date wearing a wedding dress with mascara ready to smear into tears at a man shocked at the thought of such a commitment. She writes: “While I think our country's obsession with physical perfection is unhealthy, I also think it's at least equally crazy, albeit in the other direction, to be implicitly promoting obesity. Yes, anorexia is sick, but at least some slim models are simply naturally skinny.”

Ask her... My friend and I fooled around a few times, but I ended it--she wanted a relationship and I didn't. Can we be freinds again? Sure. But until her emotions cool down, she'll think everything you do is about her. If you flirt with other women around her, she'll be offended. If you touch her affectionately, she'll see it as evidence that you might soon profess your love. Your only move is to be open and honest, treat her exactly as you treat your other friends, and repeat this as often as necessary: "You're an awesome girl. I just don't feel that spark." My wife wants to join my gym, but it's my retreat. How do I explain that to her? You could make the case that when you're working out, you go into a zone. You don't take breaks, talk to anyone, or think about anything other than reps and sets. So if her goal is to create quality time with you at the gym, she'll be disappointed. That said, I'm just not sure it's worth the trouble to keep her away, especially considering how good it would be for your sex life to go home together

all sweaty, with endorphins pumping through your veins. I hate to say it, but maybe it's time for another man-cave. How do women like their breasts touched in bed? Guys tend to be too rough with their hands and too sparing with their tongues. Our delicate nipples can only take so much friction before they start feeling raw. Instead of being grabby, spiral feather-light fingertips around them. Instead of clamping your lips down and turning on the suction, brush them softly with your mouth. But do go ahead and lick them every which way you can think of. As for the breast as a whole, you can be a bit more aggressive: We like it when you cup, squeeze, and even jiggle our jugs once the action gets going. Pinching and pulling? Some girls love a little of that stuff in the heat of the moment, but proceed with caution. Every babysitter my wife hires is gorgeous. Why would she purposely put them in my path? View the world from your wife's eyes for a second.

Where you see a simmering sorority vixen, she may see an attractive, well-adjusted young woman. Studies show that both men and women subconsciously trust attractive people more than Ugly Bettys. And since the babysitter is responsible for protecting your children, it stands to reason your wife would go with her gut instinct in this scenario. Instead of bringing it up -- and bringing untold wrath down upon your head -- do what every smart man with a hot secretary, student, or intern does: Enjoy the occasional sneak peak, but otherwise steer very, very clear. My wife says she wants me to tie her up. What is she expecting? She's expecting a lot of teasing, a few surprises, and a damn big orgasm at the end. Tether her wrists to the headboard, blindfold her, and gently stroke her breasts, belly, and thighs. Then lick several sensitive spots on her body, going back and forth between dipping your tongue in ice water and hot peppermint tea, which will add a tingle. When her body grows noticeably warmer and her breathing heavier, it's time to give her that orgasm.

Dr Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin said: “The Zagato design language is a perfect complement to our design and engineering expertise. After 50 years of the two companies being associated with each other the partnership has produced some of the world’s most iconic cars." “Of course, fifty years ago Italian design houses were widely seen as leading the way with new designs but now and supported by our independency, Aston Martin has its own in-house design ability so this new venture with Zagato is more collaborative than it perhaps would have been in the past." “The task for us has been to create a concept that is a natural successor to those iconic cars that have gone before. Matching the technology of the age with the traditional skills vital to deliver such a bespoke and exclusive sports car will lead to a strictly limited run of road going V12 Zagatos.” Work began in 2010 with initial meetings between Aston Martin and Zagato where sketches incorporating the design DNA of both companies were discussed and a decision was made to proceed with the project. Director of Design, Marek Reichman added: “The Design team at Gaydon spent time refining the concept using a mixture of the latest computer based modelling techniques along with crafting traditional clay models to give a real world idea of proportion, stance and detail”

» Lamborghini Ankonian Concept Design by Slavche headlights) I achieved the same through the complexity of the main body which is rather softly designed, (and has a flair of the Italian elegance), and the angular, stealthy and sharp elements which remind of shields. Concerning the design language, I put the Reventòn style to the next level, even more aggressive and crazy, but yet elegant, and more harmonious. The main themes behind the concept, which actually make the chosen design language even stronger, are ‘underground’ and ‘hardcore’. This is achieved by the triangular forms, for example, but mostly with the color combination of shiny black and matt dark grey. During the design process we brought back the tradition (we did it old school)-clay modeling instead of CAD modeling. It took approx. 6 months to actually build the model and it was a great opportunity to try different possibilities concerning the surface management and the proportions. This how the design doesn’t look ‘artificial’, but mature, and due to the fact that we had constant support by Lamborghini and Audi Advanced designers, the final designs have professional touch. The Lamborghini Ankonian Concept was done in my second term as part of the Lamborghini Raw Materials Project led by Prof. Dr. Othmar Wickenheiser, where all students at the school could take part in. Following the Lamborghini tradition I named the car “Ankonian” after the bull type which is famous for his black hair (that’s why I chose black). The concept is a mid-engined supercar that is not “green”, but yet shows environmental responsibility, and therefore is downsized. I didn’t choose the today’s midengine supercar clichés (extreme width, cab forward, aggressive graphical elements), but a rather narrow body, cab backward classical GT silhouette, and complexity/combination of soft and angular surfaces. Instead of showing power and aggression through some wild graphical elements (for example

Even though very crazy and on first glance complicated, all Ankonian lines and intersections work together. Due to the tension in the lines and the concave and convex surfaces there is an impression of a strong and dynamic body. The big canyons and the fact that the tail was put on a diet give it a very light appearance. In addition, the hot-rod stance gives it a push forward, and the symbolic presence of wings and the arrow-like door graphic make the car very dynamical, even when it is in standing position. By leaving the usual headlight graphics, and having very thin OLEDs embedded between the surfaces, an eccentric and mysterious feeling is achieved. The same principle was applied at the back too, by doing an alien-like face with two big exhausts as eyes, and diffuser as mouth. Again, the lights are put on a position man would not expect (read: shock value).

“You know, Charlie, there are two kinds of thieves in this world: The ones who steal to enrich their lives, and the ones who steal to define their lives. Don't be the latter. Makes you miss out on what's really important in this life.”

Company TOPCAR ( www.top-car.ru ) presents a new tuning program for the Porsche Panamera, which was called "Stingray GTR".

This is what Donald Sutherland told Mark Wahlberg, once their characters in Italian Job walked off with $35 million in gold bullions during a jewelry burglary, acted out on Venice’s channels. Then, accompanied by the rather beautiful Charlize Theron, they launch out into a new robbery of these very same bullions. In the supporting roles we see three Mini Coopers S, which the movie characters use to sneak through the tunnels of the subway, in the sewerage tubes and through the city traffic jam. Italian Job is one of the coolest robbery action movies, along with Mission Impossible and Ocean 11. But only the Job offers breath-taking car chases. Which makes us want one of those Minis even more. Small, powerful, fast and maneuvering. The perfect street hooligans. However, anyone who has driven a Mini knows that the interior of this roofed cart is too plastic for an exceptional car, such as the Mini Cooper. Here, Vilner Studio steps quite successfully in the Italian Job project. Vilner has to prove that the Mini’s plastic crate may turn into a really luxurious salon. And to discretely stress on the small Cooper’s design in order to turn it into an actor, ready for the supporting role in the next remake of Italian Job. In order to design luxury in the interior, Vilner chose brown Nappa leather, the same used in Bentley’s factory in the English county of Cheshire. Yes, this car’s interior smells like the same expensive leather used for upholstering the salons of the modern Bentleys. This leather and the skills of Vilner’s craftsmen give this Mini’s interior color and texture. They are achieved with an attractive combination between the brown Nappa leather and two colors of high-tech Alcantara.

We’d like to remind you that the company had already produced aerodynamic body kit Porsche Panamera Stingray before. This body kit was made to enhance the shape of a standard car. Later, the company TOPCAR received a lot of clients’ requests who would like to have more aggressive and "charismatic" car. Therefore, the company TOPCAR decided to create an entirely new and "allsufficient "car based on the Porsche Panamera. This time we outstepped a simple design improvement of the factory model. Most of body elements have been re-created. It includes front and rare bumpers, bonnet, front and rare fender extenders, front and rear doors, side skirts. That’s the reason why you can’t call the Porsche Panamera Stingray GTR a classic aerodynamic body kit. It is essential to highlight that the car has become much wider. Extended wings, advanced air vents, sharp outlines of blade front bumper and bonnet, strongly-marked rear diffuser and spoiler on the boot lid, all this created absolutely new aggressive style. Rear doors and wings are visually combined. Now, to open the back door, you need to press a small button and the door opens automatically. All new bodywork components made from carbon fiber and Kevlar by company TOPCAR itself. Porsche Panamera Stingray GTR is a limited range, which includes only 25 cars. Each car in the range will have its special features and be unique in one’s way.

» 2011 LEGO Technik Mercedes-Benz Unimog U Anyone who always dreamed of owning his own Unimog now has the chance to put one in his garage: The first do-it-yourself Unimog U 400 (1:12,5) will be on offer from August on: The LEGO Group, the world’s third largest toy manufacturer, has created a model with 2048 elements – up to now the largest LEGO Technic model in the company’s history. The impressive vehicle which links a combination of electric drive and pneumatics has been produced in exlusive cooperation with Mercedes-Benz as a true adaptation of the original down to the smallest details. As the world's most versatile workhorse, the Unimog pushes snow away in winter, mows motorway embankments in summer or helps to construct new roads. The so-called " Power Functions " run the pump of a pneumatically operated crane with a gripper arm that can rotate almost 360 degrees. With its gripper and the front winch, the Unimog can move any load out of the way. In addition it also has a serviceable control system and an engine which is accurate in every detail right down to the pistons. The gear unit provides good ground clearance just like the portal axles in the orginal, an individual suspension deadens jolts and the four-wheel drive guarantees mobility off-road as well. For winter use, the crane and winch can be converted into a huge snow plough. The LEGO Technic Unimog U 400 will be available from toy retailers from August on as well as from Mercedes- Benz and it costs about 190 Euros. This top LEGO model comes just at the right time for the two big jubilees that the Unimog is celebrating at the moment: 60 years ago, on 3 June 1951 to be exact, the first Mercedes-Benz Unimog was created in Gaggenau and in December 2010 the 10,000th Unimog from product range U 300/U 400/U 500 rolled off the band at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth. A unique vehicle concept had been created with its outstanding off-road mobility due to its four-wheel drive and fast driving features on the road. Since then the Unimog has proved its worth not only for winter services, caring for green areas or for various work in horticulture and landscape gardening – they are also used for fighting forest fires and planting trees, digging ditches and drilling holes in the ground, as well as shunting on railway lines and disaster intervention over impassable country. Altogether more than 380,000 units of the "Universal-Motor-Geräts (tool)" have rolled off the line. In the early days, the Unimog was produced in Gaggenau, but since 2002 it has been produced in Wörth. Daimler AG is celebrating this jubilee in 2011 with a whole variety of events.

ADVICE

TROPICAL LIBIDO-BOOSTING PLANTS

T

he field of alternative medicine is thriving today as people look to natural remedies to heal or cure a variety of conditions. Many of these remedies come from the world's tropical plants which have provided medicinal healing to peoples around the world for centuries. The following tropical plants have popular reputations as aphrodisiacs and native healers continue to prescribe them for low libido and other conditions associated with sex.

libido, is also known to decrease depression and significantly diminish anxiety. It also appears to have the ability to reduce blood sugar and stimulate digestion. Early missionaries to Mexico noted that it was popular to drink a beverage made with sugar and damiana leaves in order to enhance sexual function. According to archaeological findings, the Mayan civilization also regarded damiana as a potent aphrodisiac.

Amor seco, known scientifically as Desmodium adscendens, is a weedy perennial that boasts small green fruits and light purple blooms. It grows in forests— even along roadsides —in tropical nations throughout the world. It appears to have many healing properties such as an ability to block histamine, reduce allergic reactions, decrease pain and relax the muscles. The plant's ability to calm nerves and treat vaginal infections may be one reason it has been regarded as an herbal aphrodisiac. Amazon tribes brew a tea from the plant that is believed to stimulate libido, particularly under circumstances where romance between partners seems to have died out. Tea made from the leaves of amor seco has also been used as tribal remedies for some venereal disease and to increase milk flow in new mothers.

Velvet bean, known scientifically as Mucuna pruriens, has a long history as a popular aphrodisiac in both India and Brazil. A climbing vine that is indigenous to tropical regions in Africa as well as India and the West Indies, this plant is regarded in many regions, especially Central America, as a popular coffee bean substitute. Some tribes cook the bean and eat it as a vegetable. The seeds of the plant are known to have many healthful properties. Velvet bean is said to lower blood sugar, reduce fever and lower cholesterol. Studies have demonstrated the velvet bean can also increase testosterone, which supports claims that it can also boost the libido. Furthermore, velvet bean has also been shown to improve the sperm count in males.

A large canopy tree of the Amazon rainforest, chuchuhuasi, is a well-known libidobooster among indigenous tribes of the region. Known scientifically as Maytenus krukovii, this tree appears to have medicinal properties contained in its bark, leaves and root. Aside from its reputation as a potent aphrodisiac, chuchuhuasi is said to reduce pain, support immunity, prevent tumor growth and even destroy cancer cells. Its ability to reduce inflammation has made it a popular arthritis remedy—, particularly in Peru. As a natural aphrodisiac, this plant appears to support endurance. Native people drink a tonic made from chuchuhuasi bark that is drenched with sugarcane rum and believe the beverage increases libido. Damiana, known scientifically as Turnera diffusa, is a popular botanical aphrodisiac that grows in Mexico, Central America, the West Indies and various parts of South America. A small shrub, damiana sports small yellow flowers and is known for its pleasant fig-like fragrance. Damiana, aside from its ability to boost

With a name like gumbolimbo, this plant has to be good for something and that something appears to be its ability to stimulate the libido. Scientifically known as Bursera simaruba, this large tree grows up to twenty-five meters tall in such places as the West Indies, Florida, Central America and northern South America. The bark of the tree has traditionally been used to reduce pain, relieve fevers, inhibit bleeding and reduce inflammation. In Central America, gumbolimbo is commonly used to treat colds, flu and even sun stroke. In Guatemala, it has been used to treat gangrene as well as snakebites. It appears to be a libido-boosting remedy for many people of the West Indies. These tropical plants are being studied for a myriad of possible health benefits, but the cultures that have used them for centuries attest to their potency as libido-boosting plants. As with any remedy, it is best to consult a healthcare provider before taking these or other herbs.

WEIGHT TRAINING BEFORE CARDIO: WHY IT’S THE BETTER CHOICE

D

o you do cardio before weight training, or do you hit the weight room before stepping onto the treadmill for a run? Does it really matter which you do first? Most people have their personal preference. Some like to do cardio first to get it “out of the way” so they can focus on strength-training, while others prefer to flex their muscles first. There’s not necessarily a right or wrong way to sequence your workout, but if you want to maximize fat-burning and muscle strength, pick up the weights first. Here’s why. When you strength-train or do moderate-intensity cardio, you activate two different types of muscle fibers. Strength-training activates “fast-twitch” muscle fibers, while cardiovascular training mainly activates “slow-twitch” muscles fibers unless you break into a sprint where fast-twitch muscle fibers come into play to generate force more quickly. Fast-twitch muscles fibers use mainly carbohydrates in the form of glycogen to fuel muscle activity, and they produce energy in the absence of oxygen. The downside is they fatigue more quickly than slow-twitch muscle fibers do. Slow-twitch muscle fibers are more generously endowed with energygenerating mitochondria and use predominantly fats as fuel. They’re called into play when there’s

42

DESIREMAGAZINE JULY 2011

www.downmagaz.com

plenty of oxygen around such as during brisk walking or slow jogging. When you’re doing strength-training in the gym using weights or resistance bands, you’re activating fast-twitch muscle fibers to work against resistance. Although these fast-twitch fibers can generate force more quickly, they also deplete glycogen stores faster. This means when you climb on the treadmill to do cardio afterwards, your body will have to resort to using fat as fuel. So, fat-burning may be enhanced during a cardio session when you do strength-training first. That can certainly be an advantage. And that’s not all. When you do a challenging strength-training session first, you activate more growth hormone than you do when you start with cardiovascular exercise. This isn’t surprising since growth hormone and other anabolic hormones like testosterone are important for building strength and lean body mass. Boosting growth hormone levels has another benefit too. It enhances the breakdown of fat. So doing cardio before weight training puts you at a disadvantage, because it reduces the total

amount of growth hormone you release during your workout. Growth hormone is your friend when it comes to fat-burning and building lean body mass. Other Training Options Of course, you may choose to do cardio and weighttraining on separate days so you can focus on each separately. You can also do both cardio and a strength workout in a single session through circuit-training where you alternate short periods of strength-training with short cardio sessions. Some research shows this boosts the release of growth hormone and other fat-burning hormones even more than doing each separately. If you’re trying to build lean body mass, it may not be the best option since you won’t be able to lift as heavy when you’re fatigued from doing cardio after each set. Consider the Options If you want to maximize strength and burn more fat, do strength-training before cardio. This will activate more growth hormone, reduce glycogen stores and turn your body into a fat-burning machine. Mix things up a little by doing circuit-training once a week for variety.

TIPS

FIVE GIFT IDEAS THAT WILL GET YOU DUMPED L et's face it, guys. Whether it's for an anniversary, Valentine's Day or her birthday, some of you really don't have a clue when it comes to buying a present for that special lady in your life.

So, in order to save everyone a lot of misery, here is a list of the top five things women definitely do not want to receive on the big day. Please take note: these gift ideas are guaranteed to get you dumped. Give her any one of these and all you'll be getting in return is the silent treatment.

1. Household appliances Anything housework-related sends the message that you are a caveman who still believes a woman's place is in the kitchen. Yes, maybe she did need a new vacuum cleaner or ironing board, but she didn't need you to buy her one as a present on her special day. Come on dude, you can be more romantic than that. 2. Cheap flowers Most women love flowers and, let's be honest, they're a nice nobrainer of a gift for the unimaginative male. Just make sure you give her good quality ones ,– not a pathetic-looking bouquet you bought from a petrol station or stole from a graveyard on your way home from work. She will know. 3. Boob job Or any other type of cosmetic surgery. She may complain that she has tiny boobs or massive thighs, but your job is to tell her she looks great anyway. You might think you're helping by offering to pay for liposuction, but really it just screams, "I'm not happy with your body either! Here's some money, sort it out!" 4. Gym membership Or any kind of exercise equipment. Or bathroom scales. It sends out the same message as the cosmetic surgery. You might as well write her a poem entitled, You Fat Cow. 5. Sexy underwear This is risky. It's really a present for you, not her. And if you get her size wrong, that just opens up a whole new can of worms. Only buy underwear for her when she's there with you and can choose it herself. Left alone, you'd probably only end up buying crotchless or edible panties, anyway.

SCOPES

CAPRICORN: DECEMBER 22- JAN 19 Frustrations, trials and difficult, critical decisions are key issues at this time. Others are not receptive to your ideas and they do not express interest in your work. This is a time to increase efficiency and hold back the reins. If you have a business, for example, you probably want to cut down on advertising and slow down on expansion, or even cut down on production, employees and expenses. Look for areas of waste and cut down in these areas. You may think that you should be doing something exciting and grandiose to stir up more interest in your services, but such measures are likely to only increase the problem.

CANCER: JUNE 22- JULY 22 This is a favorable period for long-term relationships and marriage. You should feel very generous and loving now, as well as open and demonstrative toward your mate. If you are single, you may attract a new love interest who is dignified, charismatic and ambitious. Companionship is important to you at this time and you enjoy sharing life's pleasures with a special someone. A steady relationship might undergo a beneficial change, such as offering more commitment and stability than previously felt.

AQUARIUS: JAN 20- FEB 18 Improvements in your personal and romantic life is likely at this time. A sense of mutual harmony and support makes for more peaceful and secure surroundings. You care deeply and passionately for the people in your care. Children are especially adored now and flourish through your offers of love and guidance. You may feel helpful and contented when you mother and comfort your spouse, loved ones and children. You enjoy happy times when socializing with your family, which may involve creative activities or just simple pleasures at this time.

LEO: JULY 23- AUGUST 23 You may experience frustration or confusion in carrying out the duties and obligations of your work requirements. Although you persevere through the daily grind, you find it difficult to direct and focus your energies to effectively achieve your goals and objectives. In order to make progress, you will have to tap into your inner strength and fortitude to bring you through this period. On another level, you may become almost fanatical in your attempts to single-handedly accomplish projects and fulfill your own self interests, causing you to distance or separate yourself from intimate relationships.

PISCES: FEBRUARY 19- MARCH 20 Burdens placed on you by family members, especially children, will result in limitations and restrictions in your personal life at this time. A parent, child or other loved one may feel neglected or require additional protection and nurturing which causes periods of tension in the home. Older children may have disagreements with their father and feel torn about their role in the family. It is a period of time when normal caretaking issues regarding the raising of children or the care of an elderly parent involves burdens and obligations which create upsets and interference with your personal objectives. You receive little recognition for your efforts to provide care for others and sense a feeling of doubt, frustration or lack of faith in those around you. This is not a time to take on additional responsibilities in career or home situations, as you already feel overtaxed in these areas. ARIES: MARCH 21-APRIL 20 Your self-confidence and ego can be shaken by someone who directly challenges your viewpoint or intentions. A minor confrontation can make you shy away from expressing your true feelings for fear of hurt and rejection. Individuals whom you depend upon for support and acceptance may have too much say in your life at this time. It is important not to let your identity and individuality suffer when another person attempts to push their will upon you. Maintain your composure and dignity when faced with a personal dilemma now. TAURUS: APRIL 21-MAY 20 A certain amount of self-control is essential in a romantic relationship at this time. Your affections and emotions are more apt to be expressed with an urgency and intensity that approaches obsession. In some ways, you may be feeling a tremendous sense of responsibility or devotion toward your mate, or you may rely too heavily upon your partner to supply you with assurances, dependability and emotional fulfillment. In a strong and sound relationship, any imbalance or tensions might only require minor adjustments. However, if a love union is unstable or lacking in security, this may be a time when separations, break-ups or unfriendliness and hostility can occur. Also, business partnerships, work or financial areas of your life may be affected during this time period. You might have to use more discretion and constraint with regard to these interests as well. GEMINI: MAY 21- JUNE 21 Your aspirations soar during this time period. This can spur you to discover ways of improving your life and career. You are also more willing to take risks and speculate. Your luck is better than usual now, but your inclination to be overly optimistic is even greater! Consequently, you are likely to overshoot the mark, push for what you want too hard and be seen by others as being rather arrogant and self-centered.

VIRGO: AUGUST 23-SEPTEMBER 23 Projects that have been in the planning stages can be successfully implemented or brought forth at this time. Creative and intellectual endeavors are favored now, and you will most likely gain the support and appreciation from important and influential people. New possibilities to link with others on a common goal may occur and would prove quite beneficial and productive now. You have more faith in your intuition and reasoning abilities, which keeps your focus clear and helps you avoid pitfalls. This is an excellent time to display your natural talents or artistic abilities to the public. LIBRA: SEPTEMBER 23 - OCTOBER 23 This period allows you to improve upon or make revisions in your career or business endeavors. Situations arise which demand that you examine your present work methods, and if necessary, release old concepts and ideas that are no longer serving your purpose. This will be a time of transition in your chosen profession or creative pursuits. For example, you might be inbetween jobs or in search of alternative outlets to enhance your skills and talents. Or if you are in college or receiving academic training, you may modify or change your studies in mid-stream. SCORPIO: OCTOBER 23- NOVEMBER 21 You want to be stimulated by new ideas and experiences in your mental exchanges with partners, associates and close friends. Others will lend support for your creative and career desires, offering assistance and beneficial advice to you. There is an easy flow of communication with others, focusing on intellectual, rather than intimate or emotional, interrelating. You seek companionship that inspires you and have a tendency to put romantic passion on the back burner for now. SAGITTARIUS: NOVEMBER 23 - DEC 21 Strengthening ties with your loved ones is very gratifying to you at this time. Domestic matters may involve new activities, sports, hobbies or creative ventures shared with those you care about. Your energy level affords you with enough stamina to carry out your family obligations. You are protective, supportive and a strong source of guidance to children and loved ones. You may be an active participant in recreation or educational events of children at this time.

WHY LAUGHING IS GOOD FOR YOU

H

ave you ever heard someone say that laughter is the best medicine? It may sound like something your grandmother would come out with, but grandmothers are often very wise. Laughter really is excellent for your physical and mental wellbeing. Laughing is also very good for your social life. Physical Health Advantages A genuine belly laugh is excellent for your physical health. When you laugh, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins stimulate a general feeling of happiness. They can also reduce physical discomfort. Laughing also reduces the levels of stress hormones in the body. High levels of stress hormones can damage the health in various ways. Laughing may also increase your resistance to diseases and infections. When a person laughs, their body generates more immune cells and antibodies. There is evidence to suggest that laughing is good for your heart and cardiovascular system because it boosts the performance of blood vessels. Laughing is also excellent for weight loss. Studies have shown that the body burns around twenty-five percent more calories when laughing.

Mental Health Advantages Laughing on a regular basis isn’t just good for your physical health. Laughing often can also improve your mental and emotional wellbeing. Laughing makes you feel happy, so that you get more pleasure out of living your life. When you laugh you do not feel disheartened, worried or annoyed. Hence laughing improves your overall mood. Laughing makes you stronger emotionally because it helps you put situations into perspective. When you can laugh at something, it suddenly seems less intimidating than it did. Therefore if you can learn to laugh at situations that make you feel afraid or anxious, they will lose their power to overcome you. Remember that there is humor in everything; you only have to look for it. Social Advantages Laughing is excellent for your social life. If you have any doubts about this, ask yourself whether you would rather spend time with someone who laughs often or endure the company of an individual who takes everything seriously. People are attracted to individuals who enjoy laughing and having fun. Laughing on a regular basis is excellent for all human relationships. Laughing frequently will

improve the bonds you share with your parents, children, siblings, friends, romantic partner and work colleagues. Laughing can even stop an argument before it has a chance to start. It takes the anger out of potentially volatile situations. Laughing also encourages others to laugh at themselves. Seeking Out Giggles Some people laugh more than others. There are people who are naturally fun and humorous. For some people, however, laughing takes a little more effort. This is particularly true for people who were raised in a household where there wasn’t much humor. If you aren’t naturally gregarious, bear in mind that laughter is innate. Babies laugh within months of being born. Hence you can always learn to laugh more often. If you would like to find more humor in your life, seek it out. Spend time with the funniest people you know, visit comedy clubs and watch funny movies. You may also wish to consider visiting humor websites, buying funny books or watching videos of hilarious standup comedians via the web.

5 STEPS TO DEALING WITH A BREAK-UP

B

reak-ups are never easy, especially if you are not the one who ended the relationship. But if you want to get your life back after a relationship break-up, there are steps you can take to help you let go and move on. Here are 5 steps to dealing with a breakup. 1. Let it all out Bottling up your emotions is the worst thing you can do. Ignoring your emotions or trying to rationalize them will not make them go away; the only way to deal with your emotions is to confront them and allow yourself to feel their full force. Allow yourself to feel all the anger, hatred, sadness, despair, fear, anxiety and any other emotions that are trying to come to the surface. Punch pillows, scream into a towel or cry into a teddy bear if you need to. Don't try to control or rationalize your feelings: if you feel like crying and screaming for three hours because your ex-partner left the toilet seat up, go ahead and do it.

52

DESIREMAGAZINE JULY 2011

www.downmagaz.com

2. Be melodramatic Engage in some self-indulgent melodrama for a while. Fantasize about all those things you'll never do together, all the things you'll never see and all the places you'll never visit together. Have a little grieve for all the children you'll never have and all the memories you'll never make. Have a think about all of the ways your failed relationship will affect your life. Be as melodramatic and self-indulgent as possible. 3. Be realistic Once you have engaged in some self-indulgent melodrama, it's time to be realistic. Was the relationship really as good as you thought it was? Was your ex-partner really as perfect as you thought he or she was? People often have a tendency to romanticize and idealize their personal relationships, even when those same relationships are failing miserably. But this idealistic view is often the result of deep-rooted fears and insecurities. Confront the reality of the situation, not the fantasy.

4. Write a letter Whether or not you choose to send it, writing a letter to your ex-partner can be an extremely cathartic experience. However, it's best not to do this until you've worked through the first 3 steps, as your emotions will be too raw, and this often leads to saying things you don't mean. The aim of writing a letter is not to get a reaction (if you still want to get a reaction from your ex-partner, you are not ready to write a letter); the aim is to help you let go of the relationship by saying all those things you never got around to saying. 5. Let go Letting go of an important relationship can be very difficult, especially when you've made a huge emotional investment in the future of the relationship. But it is important to let go of your expartner, otherwise you risk ruining your chances of having a successful relationship with someone else in the future. Don't follow your ex-partner around on Facebook or Twitter; remove them as a Facebook friend, stop following them on Twitter and remove them from your instant messaging list. Concentrate on your own life, not what your ex-partner is up to.

THE KEGEL: TO IMPROVE SEXUAL PERFORMANCE

T

he Kegel is one simple exercise which can help to improve or maintain a man's ability to perform sexually. However, many men have never heard of this exercise. A number of the men who have heard of it think that it's an exercise exclusively for women. It is true that the Kegel may be most famous for helping women to regain sexual sensation by improving the tone of the vaginal muscles. However, Kegels can also help men in a number of ways, including increasing ejaculatory control, improving the strength and hardness of a man's erection and increasing ejaculatory force. The Kegel exercise targets the deep pelvic muscles, including the pubococcygeus, bulbocavernosus and iliococcygeus muscles. In men, these pelvic muscles perform a number of functions. They help to provide support for internal organs, and they help to control one's bladder and bowel activity. Because some of these muscles surround the base of the penis, they can also help to maintain an erection by preventing blood from leaking out. During ejaculation, these muscles contract rhythmically to help expel semen from the penis. Although these muscles have complicated names, they are really very easy to exercise. The first step in strengthening these muscles is to locate them. It is easiest to do this while urinating. While peeing, try to stop the flow of urine. The muscles that you clench to cut off the flow are the ones that a Kegel will target. Experiment with stopping and starting urinating until you feel fairly familiar with the muscles being used. Once you know where the muscles are and how to activate them, you can start to perform Kegels even when you're not peeing. As you do this, try to make sure you isolate these muscles as much as possible. When men begin to perform Kegels, it is fairly common for them to contract other muscles as well. It is especially common to either tense the stomach or the buttocks while trying to

perform the exercise. However, this is counterproductive. You should try to keep your other muscles relaxed throughout the whole exercise. You may find that it is helpful to place a hand on your stomach or your buttocks to feel whether you are inadvertently tensing those muscles as well. When you're first starting out, exercise the Kegel by squeezing your pelvic muscles for a second or two, then let them relax for a couple seconds before beginning again. Repeat this process, and see if you can perform twenty of these. If you can't perform twenty repetitions, you can try to work up to it over time. If you find that ten is too easy, you can perform more reps. You can also increase the intensity of your Kegels by squeezing harder, or by holding the contraction for longer. After you've performed a number of Kegels, take a break for a while. Then, later in the day, do another set. When you start out, try to perform three sets of Kegels on each day that you perform the exercise. As with other forms of exercise, it's best to take rest days occasionally. Otherwise, you could overtax and tire out your pelvic muscles. One of the best things about Kegels is that they can be performed just about anywhere. You don't need any special equipment, and no one will be able to tell what you're doing. You can perform Kegels at work, in the car, in the shower, while reading, while watching TV or even while wandering at the mall. To get best results, you should perform Kegels regularly. You should be aware that building pelvic strength doesn't happen overnight. You may need to consistently perform Kegels for several weeks before you start to see any results.

my life Funny, true stories, unless they happen to you. As I was mowing my neighbors lawn, I found the Playboy Magazine he left in his yard. I found it with the mower. I spent the next hour picking up little shards of naked women for no extra pay. I went from a party where both of my girlfriends decided to show, to a hospital bed with no girlfriends and a painful left testicle.

My boyfriend surprised me at my regional basketball game by staying at the same hotel as my team. I acted like a good girl and didn't sneak out to see him. He didn't get lonely, though; one of the girls on my team snuck into his room to keep him "company."

My boyfriend sent me a video of him having sex with someone from one of his last relationships because he thought it would turn me on.

I found out all about my son's secret online double life. He's been moonlighting for two years as a male prostitute by the name of Peter Parker.

I was unbelievably horny so I sent a kinky text message to a boy I really like, only to receive the reply, "Not tonight, I'm raging Minecraft, having a wank, and going sleep. Try again tomorrow."

I dreamed that I was making out with a cute girl. Just as I was about to take it to the next level, she suddenly burst into tears and said, "I'm sorry, I can't do this." I can't even get laid in my dreams.

Thinking my grandparents were out of town, my boyfriend and I decided to go to their house for some privacy. Things started to get a little loud, and my grandfather crashes through the door with a bat, thinking someone had broken in.

My dad awkwardly asked me how to selectively clear his browser history. Apparently, my mom discovered his browsing habits and tore him a new one for looking at "nothing but vile smut."

I found out the reason my boyfriend had been encouraging me to send him 'personal' videos was so he could sell them online to porn websites. I realized that my boyfriend will only have sex with me if I am on my stomach and not revealing my face. I discovered a tick on my penis. After a long battle, he finally let go. Four hours later I'm in the hospital. My penis is twice the normal size. I may have won the battle but lost the war. My boyfriend and I pulled over to have sex in his mother's car. It was going great until I leaned back onto the horn, waking up our whole neighborhood.

Along with my virginity, my boyfriend took my laptop, iPhone, TV and most of the food in my fridge.

My girlfriend and I were making out in a motel room. Just before we really got started I noticed that I forgot to close the drapes. Once I got up to close them I saw 3 maids and the manager run away. My co-worker finally gave me a check for the money he owes me. In the memo line, he wrote "for swallowing." Now I have to go cash it. I thought an attractive guy was looking at my tits instead of my face, and prepared to act offended and perhaps flirt. Unfortunately, he was actually looking at the peeling and flaking sunburn in my cleavage, and informed me that Aloe might be helpful. I asked my boyfriend to spend the night at my house because my dad would be

working out of town, and once the rest of the house left I thought it'd be sweet if he snuck in my room and slept with me. His reply was "Why bother? You're on your period, it's not like we can do anything." My girlfriend and I were getting it on for the first time. Just as I was about to climax, I spotted my greatest fear, a big wasp, only a few inches away from me. I shuddered and made a very unmanly orgasm wail. She now refuses to have sex because she says I "turned her off forever". I was reading a crappy "How to Spice Up your Marriage" book with my husband for laughs. One of the ideas was for the guy to whip his knob out, stand behind his girl and say, "Can you say that into the microphone?" Now he does it every chance he gets, and I fall for it EVERY TIME. My boyfriend and I were making out when he sweetly whispered in my ear, "it's not gonna suck itself." My boyfriend and I were about to have sex in his car. He got out of the car and moved to the passenger seat with me. As he shut the door, it slammed against my fingers, breaking one of them. He then asked if we could still have sex. I discovered my mother went into the local pub where I work part time, got very drunk and flashed her boobs at everyone. I found out when a picture was posted on Facebook. I had to explain to my boyfriend that fist pumping during sex is not romantic. I thought it would be hot if I sent my boyfriend kinky message. He didn't reply so I sent a few more. 10 minutes later I got a reply saying, "Honey, this is his mom and you should be a little less desperate."
