Summer Golf Programming

LETTER FROM THE GM

Summer Heat is Here!

Dear Members, We are already halfway through 2022, and on to the back half of the year. The Club has been very busy in all areas. Splash Waterpark in particular has had great attendance and activities; we are so happy to see everyone on the pool deck enjoying time with their families. If you have not heard yet, we have a DJ every Sunday afternoon, so it is a great time to come out, enjoy the pools, and enjoy your relationships with friends.

Our Member Experience team has been working diligently on exciting new events for this Fall designed to bring us all together to grow and expand your Network and relationships. We have made many changes at the Grove to improve your experience. Most notably the hiring of Chef Justin. His new menu has been well received, and his weekly specials have been hits. On Wednesdays, you can enjoy live music each week. Please make a reservation as the first few weeks have been busy with everyone wanting to sit inside. Every third Thursday of the month you can find the management team at Social Hour. This is also a great time to sample some of Chef’s test items and meet new members.

Our Food and Beverage team is welcoming the arrival of summer flavors and Farmer’s Market finds with our menu that highlights the vibrant vegetables and fresh fruits starting to fill the markets. Chef Justin and Chef Lee have been doing an outstanding job putting together weekend dinner specials and bringing back the all-day Sunday breakfast menu.

Summer is a great time to recharge your fitness routine by moving activities indoors. Our Sports Club offers over 50 complimentary group fitness classes a month and we continue to create innovative one-on-one programming for all ages.

As July heats up, our Golf department is working on training and updating all areas of service for our upcoming season.

The Golf Course Maintenance team is busy Aerifying and completing annual maintenance to ensure the best possible conditions.

We have welcomed over 160 new Families to the Club in the first half of the year; a record in enrollments this year! We are still on a waitlist to join in the Full Golf category, and have some availability in the Limited Golf Categories, although we are expecting that to be full as well. If you know someone interested in joining us in Membership at the Club, please let John or Stephanie know in the Membership office.

It is and always has been our goal to bring Members together to work, play, dine, and, most importantly, connect. We look forward to continued extraordinary experiences and a warm and inviting place for you to interact with other Members, entertain guests and foster meaningful connections.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

Member Spotlight

Brian-Lee Donarski

Our member spotlight this time around is Brian-Lee Donarski. who has a very inspiring story. Brian grew up in Roseau, Minnesota and served for 10.5 years in the United States Marine Corps where he was honorably discharged from in 1998. During his time serving, his truck hit an improvised explosive device which resulted in his evacuation from Iraq and very serious wounds. He faced even more injuries during his time at Military Intelligence School. Brian has received many awards for all of his service including the Purple Heart and Combat Action Badge as well. Brian has a very personal connection to golf and uses it to heal and support others, where he even involves himself with charity work. Brian has been a member of Seville Golf and Country Club for many years and has two daughters, McKenzi and Maya as well.

Employee Spotlight

Alexis Bernauer

Born and raised in Minnesota, Alexis has always lived a life rooted in fitness and whole-body wellness. Her optimistic and encouraging spirit found her leading others whether it was on the field or at the gym.

After college she became a fitness trainer in downtown Minneapolis where she earned the title of ZeSa Master Trainer due to her ability, knowledge of the body, client relations and creativity. When working with Alexis, she will keep you on your toes as she enjoys including many modalities in her training such as: strength, balance, resistance, breathwork and stretching. In recent years she has developed an interest in golf and can design workouts specific to certain sports and activities. As a CPT through NASM, Alexis will tailor sessions to personal goals and interests to meet each individual where they are at each day.

In addition to her position at the club, Alexis teaches sports and fitness to kids in the southeast valley and is a virtual clinic assistant for two mental and physical health companies in MN.

Sports Life

Our LEAD Program is growing and growing!

The Seville LEAD program is a course that teaches 13-15 year-olds the proper usage and etiquette at the country club. It is designed to go through every amenity offered at Seville. Including Golf, The Grove, Pools, Courts, the Gym and more.

Once completed the LEADer will receive a pass that allows them on property without adult supervision.

It is important to note that after completing our LEAD program, this gives you access to be responsible for yourself at the Club, and does not include bringing guests or other underage members.

CLUBS WITHIN THE CLUB SEVILLE WOMENS GOLF CLUB Come out and play with the women of Seville! Meet friendly female golfers of all skill levels. The SWGC meet and play every Wednesday, and have fun parties and golf events throughout the year.

SEVILLE MENS GOLF ASSOCIATION The Seville Mens Club assists with many of the golf events throughout the year, including the infamous Monte Mayor Men's Member Guest Tournament. They also get together and play every Saturday, followed by food and beverages in the Hideaway Lounge.

SEVILLE COUPLES GOLF CLUB Pair up and play in our weekly couples’ events on Sundays.

Play 18 holes of golf, followed by fun games, food and friendship. Fun and friendship are paramount with this Club!

HIKING CLUB Seeking exercise and spectacular views and vistas? Put on your hiking shoes and join our outdoor hiking group to explore all our beautiful desert has to offer.

SEVILLE BOCCE CLUB Love Bocce? The Seville Bocce Club is a newer Club Within The Club that is helping launch our brand new Bocce League. They meet to establish rules, setup league and tournament play, and of course to throw the Bocce around.

WOMEN'S TENNIS ASSOCIATION These ladies know how to have fun! They are a great group who love to play tennis and participate in fun social events. This is a great Club for anyone that is new to tennis, or passionate about the sport, they have groups for all skill levels.

SEVILLE BUSINESS NETWORK CLUB Looking to meet and network with some other business professionals? Then the Seville Business Network Club is the place for you. They meet once a month, on the fourth Tuesday of every month for a luncheon, networking, and prospecting for new opportunities. This Club is also open to the community members of Seville!

BOOK CLUB The Seville Book Club meets once a month for a great conversation about literature over a nice dinner, and wine of course!

Save the Date!

#TEENCREW #TeenCrew is just for the Teens of Seville (13 - 17). They meet once a week in the Game + Gather Golf Lounge to play games, hangout with friends, and collectively come up with ideas on how to expand our membership to the teens.

Bocce League will be starting up again this September!
