WHY TRACK MY FLEET? Tracking your fleet of vehicles can be beneficial in numerous ways. When a full fleet of vehicles is tracked it is possible to reduce operating costs associated with driver performance. Excessive idling, harsh braking, and fuel economy are a small selection of the criteria that you can expect to see cost reductions in. However, live location isn’t the only information that can be provided by the SevenEye® vehicle tracking system. The system has been developed specifically for use within the refrigerated distribution and storage sectors. When paired with the industry leading TranScan®2 temperature recorder / data logger SevenEye® provides a live temperature feed, critical for helping meet the demands of European legislation EN12830 and the American HACCP equivalent.

MAPPING SOFTWARE The new SevenEye® website incorporates world-class mapping technology from Google Maps. This provides frequently updated global mapping coverage, together with standard Google Maps’ features such as satellite photography, draggable panning and detail down to street level.

LIVE TRAFFIC FEED A free update has added a new traffic button to the top right of the map on the main SevenEye® explorer window. Selecting this will provide a live overlay of traffic congestion information on the SevenEye® mapping screen. We think you’ll agree that this is an exciting new tool for identifying congestion and the potential reason behind an idling engine, alternatively it can just be used to make a quick judgement about scheduling a different route for a driver. CONTEXTUAL POPUPS Hovering over an asset icon on the map displays a pop-up with current journey status and temperature/switch status (for assets with TranScanÂŽ temperature recorders attached) Using the mouse to right-click an asset icon on the map invokes a context menu that allows asset data such as snail trails, temperature charts and CANbus data to be viewed. Map operations such as zooming and centering can also be performed from here.

SNAIL TRAIL - REVIEW HISTORY Selecting “Snail Trail” from the right-click context menu shows the positions of an asset over a period of time. This time period is user configurable and can be set using the date and time controls in the map pane toolbar. Copyright © 2014 Seven Telematics Ltd.


SENSOR DATA - CANbus Selecting ”Sensor Data” from the context menu shows any temperature, switch and/or CANbus data available, together with a summary of journey information for the selected asset. The time period over which the data is displayed is user configurable.

WAYPOINTS The right click context menu on the explorer page allows for waypoints to be created. Waypoints are friendly names given to points on the map, and can be defined using either a postcode or latitude/longitude coordinates. The SevenEyeŽ Waypoints tab allows waypoints to be viewed and edited. They can also be created here, in addition to creating them directly on the map. Geo-fences can be set up for waypoints also, where just giving a radius and an In/Out/Both setting to a waypoint configures it as both a waypoint and a geo-fence. Waypoints can be configured with different types. Examples of waypoint types are: Customer, Depot, Site, Bodyshop/Workshop. The SevenEye® Dashboard makes use of waypoint Types to provide a high level view of where all assets are at a point in time, and the SevenEye® Report Writer can be used to create custom reports that make use of waypoint Types.

ALERTS The SevenEyeÂŽ Alerts tab allows email and SMS alerts to be configured, these are then sent to customers in the case of the various specified alert conditions occurring. Examples are: London Congestion Zone alerts, Temperature threshold alerts, Geo-fence alerts, Demurrage alerts, Power Loss/Restore alerts and Panic Alarm alerts. In addition to allowing alerts to be defined, the Alerts tab also includes the Alerts History table, that gives details of prior alerts that have been sent to the customer.

GEO-FENCES A geo-fence is a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographic area. We have the ability to create circular or rectangular area on the tracking devices, and server side we are able to create complex polygons such as that used for the London congestion zone and low emissions zones. Alerts can send automatic notification via SMS and/or email for entry/exit to the specified perimeters.

3.13 AXLE WEIGHT ON ARTICS AND RIGIDS

Key Functionality • Real-time and historical monitoring of weight data • Overweight alerts • Can be used to work out empty running

Applicability • Artics and large rigids only – not cars, vans or small rigids (e.g. not DAF LFs) • On axles with air suspension only – mechanical suspension will not provide weight data • An FMS Controller is required on the vehicle to provide the CANbus interface • Axle weight is not mandatory in the FMS standard – manufacturers don’t have to provide it • Some manufactuers (e.g. DAF) require an optional weight kit to be included in the vehicle spec. STANDARD REPORTS The Reports tab contains a set of standard reports. These reports have all been created using the SevenEye® Report Writer, and so can be customised by users by editing the report definitions in the Report Writer. Brand new custom reports can also be created this way. •

Vehicle Journey Summary Report: • A list of journeys defined by journey start, journey end associated data such as distance

Temperature Activity Report: All temperature and switch events sent by trackers with temperature recorders attached

Vehicle Activity Report: A list of all GPS events transmitted by an asset’s tracker, including time and place

Geo-fence Report: A list of all occurrences of geo-fence boundaries being breached

Vehicle Timesheet Report: A summary of an asset’s activity, in timesheet form

Idle Time Report: A list of all over-idle events sent by assets’ trackers

RFID Tag Journey Summary Report: As per the Vehicle Journey Summary Report, but for an RFID Tag instead of a vehicle

Waypoint Report: A list of all locations visited by assets that are defined by customers’ waypoints

Demurrage Report: A list of all demurrage events that have occurred

RFID Tag Timesheet Report: A summary of an RFID Tag’s activity, in • timesheet form

Overspeed Report: A list of all occasions that trackers recorded GPS derived speed above 56 mph

REPORT WRITER As well as our standard Report Tab, the Report Writer tab contains a simple but powerful tool that is used to create all the reports used within the SevenEye® website. It provides a variety of templates upon which reports can be designed, where users can choose which columns are included, which order they appear in and whether to include any filtering criteria that restricts a report to particular items of interest. Large numbers of reports can easily be managed by grouping them within the customer’s own user-defined folder structure. All reports – including the standard ones – can also be renamed to further provide a reporting structure that is meaningful to each individual customer.

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION The SevenEyeÂŽ Admin tab allows customers to create users and fleets, and more importantly, to specify which website functionality and which fleet(s) each user has access to. Each customer has a super-user user login that allows them to access all of their fleets and all website functionality. They may then wish to create new users that only have access to one or two fleets each, and where these users only have access to certain tabs. A Read-Only option is also available that means users restricted in this way can have access to the Alerts tab and Waypoints tab (for example) and so can see alert definitions and waypoints definitions, but cannot create, delete or modify them.

KPI REPORTING SUITE

DRIVER BEHAVIOUR REPORT SevenEye®’s Driver Behaviour KPI Report provides an intuitive and detailed summary of driver behaviour, over any user-defined time period. Metrics calculated include idle time, cruise time, harsh braking, over-speeding, green band driving and over-revving. The data used to derive these metrics is retrieved from SevenEye®’s connection to a truck’s CANbus FMS interface, and we can include Tacho Driver ID within these reports, for all trucks running the new “FMS 2.0” specification.

DRIVER BEHAVIOUR LEAGUE TABLE As a companion to the individual driver KPI Reports, the Driver Behaviour League Table summarises all drivers’ performance within a single report, and ranks them in descending order of fuel economy, so that the best and worst performers can easily be identified. In addition to driver ranking, this report provides a highly intuitive and visual view of any problems that span the whole fleet, e.g. Excessive idling or over-revving.

DEPOT SCORECARD Whereas the League Table report for a depot provides information particular to individual trucks or drivers, the SevenEyeÂŽ Depot Scorecard displays information that has been aggregated at the depot level, enabling depot managers to see at a glance how their fleet has performed as a whole during the last week, and how its performance is trending over time. Examples of data shown here are: average driver KPI score, average MPG and overall performance relative to other depots.

ROUTING ANALYSIS REPORT The SevenEye® Routing Report shows all routes driven by a customer’s vehicles, colour coded by depot. This report can be run for a day, a week or any user-defined time period. The Routing Reports shows at a glance a variety of valuable information: •

All regions of the country visited within the time period

Regions of the country that aren’t being served

Whether any vehicles went off-route

What the geographical reach of each depot is

Whether specific routes could be better served from different depots

As with all reports in the SevenEye® PDF Reporting Suite, the Routing Report can be scheduled to be emailed out to customers at any frequency, at any time of the day or week.

SMARTPHONE APPLICATION IOS AND ANDROID COMPATIBLE With over 1 billion people using smart phones to access the web and with an increasing trend for accessing data on the move, developing an application for smart phones was an easy choice to make. The SevenEye® smartphone application allows our customers to access the core features of the SevenEye® system. Vehicle location, journey statistics, alarm status, live temperature, and CANbus can all be viewed. The system also provides basic reporting functionality to keep you informed on the move. The SevenEye® application is available for FREE download on Apple’s iTunes App Store and the Android Marketplace.

DISASTER RECOVERY NTT EUROPE - UK DATACENTRE All SevenEye® servers are located within a UK datacentre managed by NTT Europe. The SevenEye® website is clustered across multiple servers to allow continous operation in the event of any server failing. All transaction logs are multiplexed. All application software is backed up offsite. Datacentre has 3 stages of security, including bio metric scanning, manned receptions, and 24 hour digital surveillance. Data backups stored on disaster recovery servers for 5 years.
