What is special for us is what is standard. RE was created to meet the most particular needs in the field of cooling and temperature control in CNC machining centres. The 15 power sizes available (from 2,000 to 80,000 W) are divided into six different horizontal or vertical structures. The series practically complete with other possible colours (in addition to the standard colour RAL 9016), the different voltages and power frequencies on request (for installations in foreign countries), together with many other customisations make this series of chillers the most comprehensive and flexible response to the problem of cooling. The range of RE liquid chillers is used in many different industrial sectors and in any production cycle where a cooling phase is required (CNC machines, extrusion of plastics, machinery and ovens for precious metal processing, etc.) In general, the continuing evolution of industrial processes makes high accuracy and high reliability in the management of every single production phase necessary. Therefore, the function of auxiliary machinery, just like chillers, which more and more decisively affect the final quality of the product becomes very important. The construction features, with careful and refined construction details, of the RE series allow the machines to be installed in all types of systems. Including a manual calibration valve and a pressure gauge for the adjustment and control of the pressure of the hydraulic circuit, the possibility to integrate the unit in an open or closed circuit by using specific vents, condensation control which allows the unit to optimally work and render with any outside air temperature are some distinctiveness of our machines. Owing the generous sizing of their components, the RE units are designed to ensure proper operation even in the most extreme conditions of use (inlet water up to 45°C and ambient air temperature up to 50°C). In this way they can be installed in any production department, not to mention the possibility of countless customisations on request or the creation of special machines, up to the construction of actual prototypes developed for specific uses. The control electronics have been reduced to a minimum and the control systems and error diagnostics are more intuitive and functional. The scrupulous series of tests and inspections carried out in our testing department, the constant presence of quick and qualified technical on-line service together with the use of components and brands easy to find on international markets help spread the RE range worldwide.

RE-M Water chiller technical data APPLICATION The RE water chiller units can be used in all industrial sectors requiring

a cooling phase. Some examples: numerical control machines, extrusion of plastics, oil cooling of mechanical presses. There are 16 models that offer several capacities ranging from 2000 W to 80,000 W.

STRUCTURAL FEATURES The structure of the RE chiller series is made of painted sheet (available in the colour white RAL 9 016). With their smaller size due to their compact shape, they are easily to handle with fork lifts or other lifting devices. COOLING CIRCUITS The cooling circuits consist of reciprocating compressors for the smaller models and “Scroll” compressors for the higher capacities. The cooled coils are made of copper pipe with aluminium fins. The smaller models are equipped with capillary expansion, and the other units are equipped with a thermostatic valve. All evaporators are brazed plate with high thermal transmittance values. The pipes are made of copper, insulated with anti-condensation insulating neoprene. All of the cooling components are assembled following strict procedures that comply with the regulations in force concerning pressure devices. HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS The hydraulic systems of the RE series ensure a

high head (calibrated with a special valve), displayed on the gauge. The entire series is equipped with a stainless steel inertial storage tank coated with anticondensation insulation. The level indicator visible from the outside provides immediate control of the water load. The water pipes are made of copper.

thermostat and electromechanical management. They are ready to use and simply interfaced with the operator even also with the aid of operation signalling or cooling unit alarm status devices. The latter, housed in aerodynamic conveyors equipped with safety grill protection, can be controlled by a device for low temperatures which modulates the speed according to a pressure switch signal. They are equipped with flow switch and antifreezing protection. All of the machine equipment complies with European directives.

Drycooler

RE-DC Energy saving

The Drycooler system exploits the low temperatures of the environment to cool the circuit without the use of compressors. The energy savings that results may even reach 50%.

HEAT EXCHANGE COILS

All the finned coils of the cooling system are made with copper pipes and aluminium fins with a high efficiency pyramidal corrugation. The frame of the coils is made of FeZn of a thickness adequate for the weight of the heat exchanger. To minimise breakage of pipes, all the expanding is performed on aluminium counter-shoulders so that there is no direct contact between the copper pipes and the iron frame.The holes near the supply nipples of the collectors are drained to allow expansion and vibration without them causing the pipes to break.

FAIRING

The liquid chillers are built with FeZn fairing painted with white RAL 9016 epoxy powder. The fan conveyors are the high collar type, made for maximum performance and minimum noise.

ELECTRIC FANS

All the standard motors are 400V - 3F- 50Hz. The 60 Hz versions are available for all diameters on request. The motors are the external rotor type with high efficiency IP54 protection. Motors and fans are statically and dynamically balanced.

DECLARED CAPACITIES

The capacities declared are calculated and tested in our testing facility, in accordance with the ENV1048 standard. Ambient temperature +25°C. Fluid temperature 40°C/35°C.
