The Shepherd FM Service Director System is at the heart of our day to day functions. Underpinned by the robust Oracle database, we have invested heavily to provide this level of technical accuracy and efficiency. Equally we understand that it is important to work with our clients and adopt a flexible approach to their staff and their assets. As examples, we also work with Concept, Maximo, Pinnacle and CAFM. Using Personal Digital Assistants (PDA’s) supported by Cognito, the UK’s leading provider of mobile data technology, our mobile engineers receive up to the minute details of their daily work schedules to ensure that nothing is overlooked. Full client asset histories are held on the PDA’s, enabling our engineers to record all FM reports directly onto it, which is then captured in real time with client and engineer electronic signatures. Service reports are then automatically emailed to clients, ensuring that they know immediately when a facility has been inspected and if any remedial action is required. Clients also have the option to view the job status online via our web service. Additionally, our fleet of vehicles is equipped with the latest tracker technology. The system again provides us with real time updates and allows us to see the exact location of our engineers. This means that we can deploy the right engineer with the right skills, whilst also tracking progress.
