Leisure Centre Site Manager
JOB PURPOSE To assist the Manager to deliver the facility business plan and the Strategic Vision for Leisure. To ensure the smooth day to day shift operation of the centre in line with Health and Safety, operational and Customer Service guidelines. To be an active member of the facility Management Team. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Oversee the day to day shift operation of the Centre. 2. Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the building and equipment and undertake regular maintenance of plant and machinery. 3. Undertake regular stock control and issue of goods received. 4. Administrative duties to include the operation of the computerised till & booking system. (Gladstone) 5. Opening of the premises in the morning and securing at night. 6. Working with Centre staff to ensure Health and Safety in line with the Integrated Management System (IMS). 7. When necessary, assisting in the supervision of the swimming pool. 8. To ensure the correct equipment is in place for use by the public when necessary. 9. Supervision of staff to ensure all areas are operational in line with the IMS. 10. Dealing with daily routine enquiries presented by members of the public. 11. Maintaining pool water quality and hygiene at all times. 12. As and when required to assist in the receiving of materials and equipment delivered to the Centre. 13. To carry out such other duties that the Site Manager considers necessary and appropriate to maintain or improve the operational efficiency of the Centre. PERSON SPECIFICATION 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
Previous experience of working in a leisure complex essential. Relevant Life Saving Qualification â€“ NPLQ or equivalent. Previous supervisory experience or a Supervisory Management Certificate would be an advantage. It would be an advantage to possess an ISRM Pool Plant Operators Certificate. Enthusiastic, committed and creative approach. Ability to work as a team and to motivate the full and part-time staff on a rotating basis over a seven day period. 7. A knowledge of sport and coaching skills would be considered an advantage. 8. A Good Knowledge of IT would be an advantage. 9. Be able and committed to manage change. 10. Commitment to Training and Personal Development essential.
