Take Time Old English Prayer Author Unknown
Take time to work, it is the price of success. Take time to think, it is the source of power. Take time to play, it is the secret of perpetual youth. Take time to read, it is the foundation of wisdom. Take time to be friendly, it is the road to happiness. Take time to dream, it is hitching your wagon to a star. Take time to love and be loved, it is the privilege of the gods. Take time to look around, it is too short a day to be selfish. Take time to laugh, it is the music of the soul.

This concept design is made for Swiss company - Rotho. It was a university group project, that won third place on competition for new design Storage boxes. The prototype was exhibited in Frankfurt, Germany in 2017. The name of the project takes inspiration from the flower: “Tulip”; the idea was to highlight the wrapping shape of the petals. The lid can be used even like a support for the box. Tulip was projected in two different sizes: the largest one (about 45 L) is designed for thè living room; it is useful as a storage case but also as an home furnishing; the smallest one (about 18 L) fits perfectly in every space of the house: in fact, it can be used like a desk organizer.
The golden ratio is used for the colours and the shape: it takes a combination from the colour space, like the software Phibar can do itself; so, there are three balanced colours. Moreover the shape is inscribed in a golden rectangle (2/3 ratio). We combined this research with the tulips colours and fashion colours trends of 2016-17 and we have our palette. The material that is used is thè polypropylene because is the best for injection molding and it is used by Rotho company; there is also a strip of silicone to avoid the slip of the lid. The surface is soft touch to suggest the sensation of the petals. There is also a second version with a smaller thinckness, that amplifies the idea of softness and a luxury version, with transparent PP and metallic lid.
My bachelor degree thesy called “Dog Bag consists of a multifunctional modular bag thought for carrying everything you need when you travel with your dog. In every layer of the bag there is the ideal space for any kind of useful objects that could need your pet. The material (nylon fiber) is perfect for washing operations.

This concept was made for hacking a common object without personality and turning it in a smart object. His name is Speakoska which is a wordplay: Speaker + Matrioska. Matrioska is a traditional russian doll famous for its shape and its function strictly emotional. With an Arduino system situated inside the doll, this matrioska family gains a new role in the environment and acquairing a new voice! Every “doughter doll” has a smart platform that in contact with the “mother doll” can change the timbre (highs, middles and lows) as an equalizer. There’s a different mouth style for every timbre. Of course you can also change the song by putting and leaving dolls!
In the last years, it is growing the number of people suffering from an illness, called Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Trying to mitigate the discomfort of this disease, people often take a homemade healthy drink containing probiotics. We can nd several probiotics with bacteria that support the digestion good for people with intolerances too. There are several kits to prepare probiotics drinks but they are rudimentary and not able to carry on the process until the end. This product will be an object able to give the user the opportunity of developing the entire process in a single product. Its main functions will include mixing, filtering, warming and refreshing. The product has a very simple interface and, after putting inside ingredients, it can provide high quality drinks. Moreover, in case of the user is out, Kippi will keep the beverage fresh.

In every city there are districts less safe than others and people have to hang out at these places, for example, for job. It is necessary that people protect and help each other to avoid aggressions. The personas is a person that goes in dangerous areas and need to feel safer.
Aggressions and thefts Italy - 2015
Angel is a wearable device able to launch allarm in case of aggression to nearer users. It can be started by pushing the central button, by voice control or by tear due to theft. The led can change color to adapt to different situations and can help other users to reach the place of aggression. The product is supported by an app that helps user to log in the community. Through smartphone, user can see where the aggression has occured or notice which is the safer route to reach the destination. In this way it is possible to create a community that can join people against criminal acts through a mutual protection and empathy.

The device launches the allarm through a double tap on the button, by pronouncing a message of help or in case of tear of bracelet. The allarm is received by users in about 200 meters. If they decide to help he victim, they will tap two times the button. To reach the place, person will be driven by the led of device or can look at app. During an aggression, the product will record the voice and take photos of criminal. Files will be shared through the community. In this way, criminal’s face and voice will be known by every one in the community. Angel is able to warn the nearest people that can give a real and fast help to the victim. Other products launch the allarm to relatives or friends of the victim that maybe are far away to the place of aggression. Moreover, this mutual help can provide a feeling of empathy between the community and face criminal acts.
The product was born after a major trend that developed during these last years that involves healthy beverages, in particular Kefir. Kefir is a probiotic drink obtained by the milk fermentation (or other sugary liquids) that provides multiples benefits to the human organism. The target are all the users that enjoy a helthy lifestyle and love homemade food products. This project does not want to be only a medical device but mainly a product that helps to increase the overall wellbeeing of people. Kesfir is a fermenter specifically designed for milk and water Kefir. The concepts takes inspira tion from the world of laboratories instruments to give the final desing a chemical-style in order to make it pop out from the ordinary dispenser devices. The protuct is divided in four main parts: the main glass sphere on top is where the fermentation process takes place, it has an easy opening lid on the upper part that includes a filter that collects the Kefir grains. At the base there is a valve that allows the beverage to flow out when its ready and an other filter on the base makes sure that the valve never gets clogged. The tripod base holds the sphere in place and contains all the technology and sensors to manage the Kefir fermentation; it also hosts a glass flask that collects the fresh drink form the sphere and can be used to store the Kefir in the fridge once it has been produced. The product also includes a small case to store and keep the Kefir grains when the device is not in use.
It starts by opening the lid and pouring the sugary liquid into the glass sphere and putting the Kefir grains inside the main filter attached to the lid. After making sure that the sphere lid is closed properly, the device is turned on by pressing the capsense button on the base. The product sensors and technology will calculate the time needed for the fermentation of the beverage in depending on the environment temperature (if the temperature is too low the resistance included in the base will be activated to start bringing the liquid inside the sphere to the optimal temperature for the fermentation). After this process is done a count down will show up near the activation button to indicate how much time the fermentation process will take to finish. Once the drink is ready to be served, a buzzer will activate to warn the user that it’s time to turn the valve on the lower part of the sphere to pour the ready to drink beverage into the flask hosted by the base. If the drink will not be collected once is ready it will keep fermenting and a timer on the base interface will show how much time the drink was left fermenting ahead, also the interface colour will start slowly turning to red so that the user will know if the drink was left fermenting too much. Since the product is IoT all process can be managed through the dedicated app that will also notify the user about the status of the fermentation.
The device is smart, features an intuitive use, does not require complex instructions and it is efficent in the function it was designed for. Kesfir is an independent product since does not require the user to stay nearby while its working because is an IoT device that could be managed by its dedicated app. Kesfir ensures a more enjoyable user esperience in the Kefir production.
