Our staff has over fifty years of combined experience in project management, civil construction, construction management, project safety, site remediation and project controls. Our work capabilities include mass/structural excavation; structural & architectural concrete; and storm sewer/utility construction. All of our work is self-performed. Serco’s project experience includes building foundations, structures, hardscapes, retaining walls, parking lots, drainage structures and grading.

DART BLUE LINE EXPANSION

Blue Line Garland to Rowlett General Contractor: Austin Bridge & Road Contract Award: $7,330,273 Client: Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Civil construction of 5.1 mile light rail line from existing Garland, TX station to new station in Rowlett, TX. Worked closely with design build team from ceremonial initial clearing of trees on to placement of under drains structures. Scope included clearing and grubbing, excavation of subgrade, lime stabilization, installation of tri-axial geo grid, flex base, sub ballast, ballast, under drains, concrete structural retaining walls, concrete site work, and stone riprap.


STRUCTURAL CONCRETE


OLD DALLAS HIGH SCHOOL Dallas, TX

General Contractor: Balfour Beatty Construction Contract Award: $1,692,003 Client: MSW Crozier Tech

Dallas High School Renovation is the repurposing of the original Old Dallas High school Building Located in Downtown Dallas. The scope included underpinning and modification to the existing below grade structural foundation, the addition of structural slabs on all 4 levels and all site work paving including modifications to existing retaining walls.


EXALL LAKE

Highland Park, TX General Contractor: Serco Construction Group Contract Award: $1,186,550 Client: Trammel Crow Properties

Construction of curved linear retaining wall with flame cut granite facing. Work required de-mucking of Exall Lake along wall line, installation of drilled piers, and extremely critical horizontal and vertical control of cast in place walls. Granite facing was flame cut prior to concrete wall forming and installation. Tolerances were 1/8 inch or less.

General Contractor: Brandt Companies Contract Award: $419,283 Client: Confidential

Installation of reinforcing steel, concrete and placement, and backfill of completed concrete structures with existing site soils.


STRUCTURAL EXCAVATION


TEXAS INSTRUMENTS GAS PLANT Dallas, TX

General Contractor: Austin Commercial Contract Award: $246,014 Client: Texas Instruments

Installation of 5 chamber, 7 ft deep concrete trench system for conveyance of gases from Bulk Gas Plant to main fabrication facility.


ARCHITECTURAL CONCRETE


CHILDRENS MEDICAL CENTER Dallas, TX

General Contractor: Balfour Beatty Construction Contract Award: $2,588,550 Client: Children's Health System of Texas

Civil construction of architectural and structural concrete. Serco worked closely in partnership with the General Contractor and the Owner to design and installation architecturally unique yet functional hardscape and site paving for the new Children’s medical Center tower. The work included randomly repeating patterned form liner and integrally colored concrete retaining walls, paving and drives, and meditation gardens complete with benches, planter boxes, and a meditation garden.

UTD LANDSCAPE ENHANCEMENT Richardson, TX

General Contractor: Austin Commercial Contract Award: $3,285,970 Client: University of Texas at Dallas Construction of architectural concrete formlined clock walls, installation of cast-in-place planter boxes and fountains, and installation of architectural site paving. Work included use of board form lined walls, specialized concrete mixes, specialty sandblast finishes, and integral color. Work was centerpiece to architectural update and new vision for UTD campus.


FLOOD CONTROL & HURRICANE REPAIR


HALL PARK BASIN Houston, TX

General Contractor: Serco Construction Group Contract Award: $10,170,445 Client: Harris County Flood Control District

Hall Park project encompasses more than 1.1 million CY of excavation & Off-site disposal along with 97 acres of clearing and 2,954 LF of new 8� Sanitary sewer line and related manholes. This critical project was developed & constructed to provide flood control relief for the city of Houston. The storage retention capacity is 289 M Gal of water.


CONROE DAM EMERGENCY REPAIRS Conroe, TX

General Contractor: Serco Construction Group Contract Award: $1,757,808 Client: San Jacinto River Authority Emergency civil repairs to Lake Conroe dam caused by Hurricane Rita in Conroe, TX. Removal and replacement of 2,900 linear feet of bedding and riprap. Scope included transporting 24-36� riprap over 150 miles from Corsicana, TX to Conroe, TX, stockpiling, reloading, and rebuilding of damaged surfaces. The SJRA required all work to be completed within 100 calendar days. Serco completed the project in 55 working days without incident.

PATRICK’S BAYOU Houston, TX

General Contractor: Serco Construction Group Contract Award: $5,745,963 Client: City of Deer Park

Excavation and offsite disposal of 587,795 CY of soils for storm water detention basin including installation of storm drainage systems and structural concrete drop structure.


JERSEY MEADOWS Houston, TX

General Contractor: Serco Construction Group Contract Award: $3,609,395 Client: Harris County Flood Control District

Excavation and offsite disposal of 432,430 CY of soils for storm water detention basin including installation of storm drainage systems and structural concrete drop structure.


STORM DRAINAGE


WILLOW WATERHOLE Houston, TX

General Contractor: Serco Construction Group Contract Award: $11,937,629 Client: Harris County Flood Control District

Brays Bayou project includes the construction of 2,910 LF of Concrete Low Flow Channel in order to control the flow of floodwater in the bayou. This project has various phases, which include the installation of Reinforced concrete boxes & Reinforced concrete pipes to interconnect five previously separated storage basins. Utility work includes the installation of 36� Sanitary sewers and 72� storm sewers along with the Manholes. Project also required few street cuts & lane closures, which involves close coordination between various government authorities.

C-106 CONVEYANCE Houston, TX

General Contractor: Serco Construction Group Contract Award: $3,112,888 Client: Harris County Flood Control District

Construction of almost 1 mile of concrete channel slope paving and installation of 12’ x 12’ of pre-cast reinforced concrete boxes. Project required critical control around multiple existing buried pipelines.
