people. There is English newspaper, Hindi newspaper and also Bangla news paper. The first Bangla newspaper from Canada is Deshe Bideshe published in 1991. Founded by Nazrul Minto. These are the most circulated and popular among the masses. People mostly go to the newspaper which has a good reputation and circulation. Some newspaper are famous for a long time and people are accustomed to it. Deshe Bideshe is an interactive news portal for the Bengali speaking people worldwide. 'Deshe Bideshe' was founded on the 21st of February, 1991. On June 6, 1996, Deshe Bideshe became a weekly newspaper. In 1997, Deshe Bideshe began simultaneously publishing from Toronto and New York. At this time, the newspaper expanded to 64 pages, including 4 to 8 pages printed in colour. In 1998 the Deshe Bideshe launched its online publication. In 2000, 'Just for Kids,' later renamed `New Generation’ was produced as a four-page insert in English. In 2006 hit mainstream news stands including Metro, Shoppers Drug Mart, various shopping centres and subway news stands. On December 1, 2008, Deshe Bideshe transformed into a daily online publication. Deshe Bideshe is the bridge between Bangladeshi expatriates and their roots. Deshe Bideshe is the global voice of the Bengali community.
