So if you are an entrepreneur and missed the boat to enter the mask or perspex industry then you are not alone, the market has already been cornered. As for the “new normal” I admit that I’m the first one to run out the door and forget my mask, it’s not through disrespect for the cause, it’s that I simply can’t get my head round the fact that this is, not only the LAW of the land, but it’s our given duty to comply. I think it’s easier for town folk to remember to keep the mask on due to the bustling streets of masked shoppers, but campo folk tend to slip somewhat, well, it seems almost illogical almost, to wear a mask in the country side with nobody within miles of your location. However, “mine is not to reason why, mine is but to sell and buy” (Del Boy). Not really... mine is but to publish the greatness that is the “Yellow Peril” that much needed ray of sunshine on a rainy day - The Sentinella Malaga magazine..(fanfare!!!) So I must mention ant this point our admiration for those who endeavor to keep things going and do their utmost to forge ahead. Always those at the front-line keeping our medicare, to those at the other frontline still bringing us joyous live music and hospitality when skies are gray, all the best businesses and services along the costa and inland within our very pages...GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!! keep up the great work ;) No doubt the greater population will be getting funkier with their mask fashion not to mention the model on the front cover of our October Halloween edition,..never mind it’s all boll##ks!! Have a happy “trick, or hopefully treat” this Halloween and most importantly stay safe folks, masks are not just for tasks. BOO! JJ The Ed

skills to dig up those ancient cells. And now, in a Japanese lab, researchers have brought the single-celled organisms back to life. Researchers aboard the drill ship JOIDES Resolution collected sediment samples from the bottom of the ocean 10 years ago. The samples came from 328 feet (100 meters) below the 20,000-foot-deep (6,000 m) bottom of the South Pacific Gyre. That’s a region of the Pacific Ocean with very few nutrients and little oxygen available for life to survive on, and the researchers were looking for data on how microbes get along in such a remote part of the world.

Comfort Food.. Why do we love it?

With most of the planet hunkering down and staying home, there’s no better time to look at food that truly lifts the soul.. Perhaps surprisingly, the phrase “comfort food” is said to date back only to 1966. In the depths of winter or just on a grey, rainy day and there are plenty of those in Britain or only when you feel you want a boost, there are many ways to lift your mood, not least eating comfort foods. Studies have shown that eating foods which are comforting, wholesome and nourishing can significantly alter the way you feel. The memories usually associated with these types of food often come from childhood, so no surprise that a Sunday roast will feature on most Britain’s comfort food list. Undoubtedly, the traditional Sunday Roast comes high on any comfort food list. In Britain, sitting down to Sunday lunch is a century’s old custom and so has many, many associations with childhood.

The cooking of the lunch may have waned in recent times but not the eating of it. Pubs and homes throughout the land are full to bursting with families enjoying a good roast! An absolute classic of favourite British foods is a plate of British Fish and Chips with or without the mushy peas. Whether by the seaside or (a great tradition) eating them outdoors straight from the paper, fish and chips are a national institution and no wonder they are an all-time comfort food.

Comfort food Continued... The popularity of CURRY is not a newcomer in Britain; it has been eaten here for centuries from when it was brought over during the British involvement in the Indian subcontinent. Curry now can be from anywhere on the globe, and all are welcome comfort foods despite their non-indigenous origins. For the sake of your heart, it may not be a good idea to eat this breakfast every day, but A Full English now and again is a real treat so certainly deserves to be on this list. Be they hot or cold, one of the top pies for a quick, comforting snack has to be the pork pie. They have been a British favourite for centuries and are one of the first types ever made and doubt always will be as they are so delicious. Bangers and Mash is quick and easy to make, and also makes a cheap yet very

substantial meal. It’s sure to be a hit with the entire family. Where once it was only possible to buy beef or pork sausages, there are now many different flavours available, from spicy to fruity. Traditionally flavoured pork sausages are traditional for bangers and mash, but feel free to use your favourite!

RANDOM JOKES! Three vampires went into a bar and sat down. The barmaid came over to take their orders. “And what would you, er, gentlemen like tonight?” The first vampire said, “I’ll have a mug of blood.” The second vampire said, “I’ll have a mug of blood.” The third vampire shook his head at his companions and said, “I’ll have a glass of plasma.” The barmaid wrote down each order, went to the bar and called to the bartender, “Two bloods and a blood light”! ****************************** Dracula wanted to know which of his bats was the best. So he organiSed a little competition. The bat which would drink more blood in less time than others would be the winner. The first bat went and came back after 10 minutes. Its mouth was full of blood. Dracula was impressed. He asked, “Nice, how did you do it?” The bat said, “Do you see that

tower? Behind it there is a house. I went inside and drank the blood of all the family.” Dracula said, “Very good”. The second bat went and came back after 5 minutes. He too had blood on all his face. Dracula was shocked, “How did you do that?” The bat said, “Do you see that tower? Behind it there is a hotel. I went inside and drank the blood of all the guests.” Dracula said, “Fantastic”. Now the third bat went and came back just after 1 minute. There was blood on all his body. Dracula couldn’t believe his eyes, “How did you do that?” The bat said, “Do you see that tower?” Dracula said, “Yes”. And the bat said, “I DIDN’T!!!”

The REAL Count Dracula...!

Castle Hill BUDAPEST is where Vlad Tepes was held captive and tortured for 14 years, starting in 1463. We remember him now as Vlad the Impaler, better known as “Count Dracula” He was the second son of Vlad Dracul, who became the ruler of Wallachia in 1436. Vlad and his younger brother, Radu, were held as hostages in the Ottoman Empire in 1442 to secure their father’s loyalty. Vlad’s father and eldest brother, Mircea, were murdered after John Hunyadi, regent-governor of Hungary, invaded Wallachia in 1447. Hunyadi installed Vlad’s second cousin, Vladislav II, as the new voivode. Hunyadi launched a military campaign against the Ottomans in the autumn of 1448, and Vladislav accompanied him. Vlad broke into Wallachia with Ottoman support in October, but Vladislav returned and Vlad sought refuge in the Ottoman Empire before the end of the year. Vlad went to Moldavia in 1449 or 1450, and later to Hungary. He earned his fearsome

nickname for impaling more than 20,000 people and killing as many as 60,000 others during his bloody reign. He was even said to dine among his impaled enemies and dip his bread in their blood. But while the stories of the “real Dracula” have surely been embellished over the years, the true history of Vlad the Impaler is far scarier than anything Bram Stoker could have dreamed up.

BELLY FAT - We all hate it...

Belly fat is more than a nuisance that makes your clothes feel tight. It’s seriously harmful. This type of fat — referred to as visceral fat — is a major risk factor for type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and other conditions. Many health organisations use body mass index (BMI) to classify weight and predict the risk of metabolic disease. However, this is misleading, as people with excess belly fat are at an increased risk even if they look thin. Though losing fat from this area can be difficult, there are several things you can do to reduce excess abdominal fat. Here are some effective tips to lose belly fat, backed by scientific studies. Soluble fiber absorbs water and forms a gel that helps slow down food as it passes through your digestive system. Eat plenty of soluble fiber - Studies show that this type of fiber promotes weight loss

by helping you feel full, so you naturally eat less. It may also decrease the number of calories your body absorbs from food Avoid Trans fats are created by pumping hydrogen into unsaturated fats, such as soybean oil. They’re found in some margarines and spreads and also often added to packaged foods, but many food producers have stopped using them. These fats have been linked to inflammation, heart disease, insulin resistance, and abdominal fat gain in observational and animal studies. Don’t Drain TOO MUCH Alcohol can have health benefits in small amounts, but it’s seriously harmful if you drink too much. Research suggests that too much alcohol can also make you gain belly fat. Observational studies link heavy alcohol consumption to a significantly increased risk of developing central obesity — that is, excess fat storage around the waist.

BELLY FAT continued..

Eat a high protein diet - Protein is an extremely important nutrient for weight management. High protein intake increases the release of the fullness hormone PYY, which decreases appetite and promotes fullness. Protein also raises your metabolic rate and helps you to retain muscle mass during weight loss. Reduce your stress levels - Stress can make you gain belly fat by triggering the adrenal glands to produce cortisol, which is also known as the stress hormone. Research shows that high cortisol levels increase appetite and drive abdominal fat storage. What’s more, women who already have a large waist tend to produce more cortisol in response to stress. Increased cortisol further adds to fat gain around the middle. Don’t eat a lot of sugary foods - Sugar contains fructose, which has been linked to several chronic diseases when consumed in

excess. These include heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and fatty liver disease Observational studies show a relationship between high sugar intake and increased abdominal fat. It’s important to realise that more than just refined sugar can lead to belly fat gain. Even healthier sugars, such as real honey, should be used sparingly.

Carry On Camping.... In Spain We have learned a lot in our short time camping our way through France and Spain. Through trial and error, we have come up with a comprehensive list of what you should arm yourself with to make your camping vacation a success. Below you will find a list of what we should have brought and what we wish we knew about camping in Europe. Bring Chairs – Your campsite will not have a place for you to sit. If you don’t want to be stuck sitting in your tent all night or sitting cross legged on the ground, bring some fold out chairs. Bring a Table – This was a surprise. You will have no place to eat at your campsite if you are packing a tent. Most people caravan in Europe and they have everything that they need. This is not the case with tent camping. We didn’t bring a table and we have resorted to eating on the ground. Some campsites won’t even let you eat your picnic

lunch at the restaurant or around the pool. (We asked!) You must eat at your campsite. Get an adapter – You may think that you have a European adapter already and that you will be fine, but you need a special adapter for some campsites to have power. A normal 3 prong plug won’t work. You need a campers 220 Volt/6 Amp adapter which of course we don’t have that either. Bring Ear Plugs – You may think that you will be all alone in the campsite, but camping in Europe is popular and people are up all night talking and kids are up early yelling and screaming. No Camp Fires Allowed – In the campsites that we visited there were no fires allowed. Not bbqs either. Camp stoves are allowed. Note about the camp stove though, it is difficult to find fuel other than propane/butane at the campsites. With the airline rules today it is also difficult to take a camp stove on board, best borrow or buy on arrival! Happy Campling!

What size do ladies actually prefer...a woman’s secret unvailed? With so many larger penises shown on Adult XXX movies, more people are socialised to want bigger penises. Millennial women are especially strident about penis size preference. This can be heartbreaking because men and women are made to fit together. The average is average for a reason! As many women prefer a man who is on the small to average size as women who want a bigger penis. But the media is mean. We all know that. Since women’s preferences for both relationship types were slightly larger than the average male, the preferred size for the onetime partner was farther from the average. Novelty itself contributes to pleasure, so seeking a more novel-sized penis may be consistent with a goal to pursue pleasure primarily in one-time partners. Women may prefer a smaller penis size in a long-term partner compared to a one-time partner for reasons of both physical

comfort and a preference for less masculinity in a longer-term partner. The difference in pleasure motive is also suggested by genital physiology. A larger circumference might stretch the vaginal opening such that the deep structures (clitoral crura and vestibular bulbs) are more stimulated, and the clitoral glans are more stimulated by the penis movement. Other studies also found that women prefer a relatively larger penis proportional to body size, especially with respect to the circumference. Given that women typically experience more pleasurable and orgasmic sex in longer-term relationships, they might prefer a larger penis for short-term sex partly so the increased physical sensation compensates for the reduced psychological connection. In one notable exception, a preference for general body somatotype did not differ by the relationship duration. Cont.. page 24

What size do ladies prefer...continued

Now this penis is not much about the length but the shape. Men with a curved one can have his penis measured between 5.5 7 inches, but it would be slightly curved in the front, pointing upward. This has nothing to do with the pleasure he can give his woman because in the end looks don’t matter. In fact, a curved penis during penetration would be touching the upper wall of the vagina, apparently where the G-spot is. This means more pleasure, better orgasm, therefore does size really take preference over shape and form? A little one for instance, You might underestimate its potential, but the little willy is the safest when it comes to long-term relationships because it promises the right fun with less soreness and much less recovery time smaller may measure less that the average 5.5 inches. No matter the type of penis you have, what woman want is something really dependable. According to a recent study, women prefer a little larger-than-average pe-

nis size about 6.4 inches and 5-inch circumference for casual encounters while 6 inches erect penis with 4.3 circumferences is what they look for during long-term relationships.

Turmeric, more than an anti-inflammatory..

Many people swear by turmeric because it has known anti-inflammatory properties. It is commonly suggested as a natural way of treating arthritis and sports injuries because of the antioxidant curcumin that the yellow spice that is found in curry contains. What you may not know is that the curcumin turmeric has been used in India for thousands of years to heal a variety of ailments for thousands of years. Now it may be able to help with Alzheimer’s patients by preventing cognitive degeneration. Scientists have been trying to research curcumin to find scientific proof that it can successfully treat diseases like cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s and exactly what else it can do but have been frustrated by the body’s inability to absorb it according to The University of South Australia.

The researchers were then able to do studies on animals that showed the nanoparticles containing curcumin prevented cognitive deterioration and also reverses damage. This finding could pave the way for clinical development trials for Alzheimer’s.

Currency News Brexit drives volatility in the pound, EUR exchange rates undermined by Eurozone’s slowing recovery. Staying up to date with the latest currency news can help you time your transfers effectively, so find out what you should be looking out for over the next couple of weeks… LATEST CURRENCY NEWS The pound has dived over the past month, with fresh Brexit uncertainty driving GBP/EUR from a high of €1.12 to a low of €1.07. Meanwhile, the volatility in GBP/USD may have been even more pronounced, with the pairing fluctuating between a high of US$1.34 and lows of US$1.27. Over the same period, EUR/GBP has jumped from £0.90 to £0.91, while EUR/USD has slipped from a twoyear high of US$1.19 to US$1.17. What’s been happening? The pound was carried higher against the euro through the second half of August, with the pairing climbing to a three-month high on the back of some upbeat UK data releases. However, Sterling plummeted in early September on the back of heightened Brexit anxiety. This was triggered by the proposal of a

controversial bill from Boris Johnson which has jeopardised the chances of a post-Brexit trade deal in seeking to override part of the EU Withdrawal Agreement. Meanwhile, the euro has found its gains tempered in recent weeks as Europe’s coronavirus resurgence looks to have stalled the Eurozone’s economic recovery. What do you need to look out for? In the coming weeks we are likely to see trade in the GBP/EUR exchange rate grow increasingly choppy as Brexit uncertainty and coronavirus concerns start to dominate headlines once more.At Currencies Direct we’re here to talk currency whenever you need us, so get in touch if you want to know more about the latest news or how it could impact your currency transfers. th ou M g fish o Fr Cat These fish live in soft substrates where they bury themselves as camouflage, both for protection and to feed.[6] These fish are ambush predators. They feed on prey such as small fish, including cyprinids and pupfishes. They lie in wait, well camouflaged, in preparation for prey to swim by. Sometimes, they use their maxillary barbels (attached to the upper jaw) to lure prey fish closer to their mouths, similar to a worm jerking in the water, although this behaviour is contested by some aquarists, who do not observe this behaviour. When the catfish is ready to strike, the Chaca will open its large mouth rapidly, creating a vacuum that pulls in water and its prey, which may be up to half the fish’s own length.

These fish are also able to use this large mouths as a means of propulsion; when frightened, they will gulp a large amount of water and expel it through their gills.

ARIES: March 21- April 20 The best way to handle difficulties is to go with the flow and consider looking at them from a whole new perspective, allowing you to gain a greater understanding of a previously confounding situation! Take charge when the opportunity arises as, with this new perspective, comes natural leadership. TAURUS: April 21- May 21 If you’re feeling insecure, address the situation as soon as possible. There’s a lot of excitement coming your way as October begins so don’t let a misunderstanding ruin your mood. Be aware and ready for a potential power struggle around the 8th and 9th . GEMINI: May 22- June 21 Analise the pros and cons of a political situation at work. Get out your abacus and start crunching numbers as calculations are going to be very important this month. Double check your bank account balance. Do a cost/ benefit analysis of your current level of happiness and potential future happiness based on a number of different criteria. CANCER: June 22- July 22 If you’re getting cold feet about a new partnership, romantic or business, hold off on making things oficial and take a little more time before committing. Listen to your intuition. Head to the gym or do some yoga to help find balance and allow problems to melt away. LEO: July 23- August 23 Enough with the shortsighted struggles for supremacy — they make you unhappy and reduce your chances of achieving what you really want. As the month begins, do an honest self-assessment of what skirmishes are worth undertaking and what points you can reasonably let go. Then, change your battle plan accordingly. Commit to a health regime. VIRGO: August 24- September 22 Your intellectual curiosity is going to lead you in all kinds of fascinating new directions, so if you have an idea, follow it! You could be making all kinds of new discoveries now that will be shape your personal and professional life for years to come.

LIBRA: September 23- October 22 Building towards mid-month, your energy is high and your attitude is excellent. Details are not as important as the big picture, so look at things as globally as you can. By the 26th, things could not be going better. SCORPIO: October 23- November 21 You’re feeling good, you’re looking great and everybody wants to be your friend. Plus, you’re feeling attuned to the world and at one with your fellow human beings. Wondering what’s going on? Don’t worry about it - sometimes things just go your way! SAGITTARIUS: November 22- December 21 You’re in a quiet, private and meditative space. If you would rather sit alone, light a candle and listen to the sound of your own breath, then cancel what you had planned and spend some time communing with yourself and getting what you need. The more you know about how you’re feeling, the more equipped you’ll be to make good decisions. CAPRICORN: December 22- January 20 If you’re feeling detached, an observer of your own life. ask yourself is something going on that’s making you more uncomfortable than you’re admitting to? As difficult as it may be, start getting in touch your emotions and you’ll find whatever was frightening you is not as bad as you thought. AQUARIUS: January 21- February 19 You may be feeling a little bit underappreciated, perhaps from resentment about your position at work or a family dynamic. Calmly and politely insist on being taken seriously. Finding the confidence to do this will help you both at work and in family relationships. PISCES: February 20- March 20 Don’t get involved in things you don’t fully understand. Accept suggestions and listen to pitches, but don’t commit to, or sign, anything. There will be time enough for decisions once all information-gathering is done. Help a friend in need if you possibly can - the amount of good you can do will outweigh any sacrifice.

:) a h a h Jo k e s Short & Sweet.... A blind man walks into a bar. And a table. And a chair.... I know a lot of jokes about unemployed people but none of them work! What’s orange and sounds like a parrot? A carrot! Did you hear about the italian chef that died? He pasta way! Why couldn’t the bicycle stand up? Because it was two tired! Parallel lines have so much in common. It’s a shame they’ll never meet! My wife accused me of being immature. I told her to get out of my fort! Where do you find a cow with no legs? Right where you left it! When a deaf person sees someone yawn do they think it’s a scream? As I suspected, someone has been adding soil to my garden. The plot thickens! How do crazy people go through the forest? They take the physco path! And the lord said unto John, “Come forth and you will receive eternal life”. John came fifth and won a toaster!

*************************************************** Late one night a burglar broke into a house and while he was sneaking around he heard a voice say, “Jesús is watching you.” He looked around and saw nothing. He kept on creeping and again heard, “Jesús is watching you.” In a dark corner, he saw a cage with a parrot inside. The burglar asked the parrot, “Was it you who said Jesús is watching me” The parrot replied, “Yes.” Relieved, the burglar asked, “What is your name?” The parrot said, “Clarence.” The burglar said, “That’s a stupid name for a parrot. What idiot named you Clarence?” The parrot answered, “The same idiot that named the rottweiler Jesús.” *************************************************** There was a papa mole, a mummy mole, and a baby mole. They lived in a hole out in the country near a farmhouse. Papa mole poked his head out of the hole and said, “Mmmm, I smell sausage!” Mummy mole poked her head outside the hole and said, “Mmmm, I smell pancakes!” Baby mole tried to stick his head outside but couldn’t because of the two bigger moles. Baby mole said, “The only thing I smell is molasses.” *************************************************** Two bats are hanging upside down on a branch. One asks the other, “Do you recall your worst day last year?” The other responds, “Yes, the day I had diarrhoea!” *************************************************** THREE TREES AND A WOODPECKER Two tall trees, a birch and a beech, are growing in the woods. A small tree begins to grow between them, and the beech says to the birch, “Is that a son of a beech or a son of a birch?” The birch says he cannot tell, but just then a woodpecker lands on the sapling.

The birch says, “Woodpecker, you are a tree expert. Can you tell if that is a son of a beech or a son of a birch?” The woodpecker takes a taste of the small tree and replies, “It is neither a son of a beech nor a son of a birch, It is, however, the best piece of ash I have ever poked my pecker into!” *************************************************** A blonde, a redhead, and a brunette were all lost in the desert. They found a lamp and rubbed it. A genie popped out and granted them each one wish. The redhead wished to be back home. Poof! She was back home. The brunette wished to be at home with her family with the perfect husband in a erfect house. Poof! She was back home with her husband in her perfect house. The blonde said, “Awwww, I’m lonely, I wish my friends were back!.” *************************************************** Every ten years, the monks in the monastery are allowed to break their vow of silence to speak two words. Ten years go by and it’s one monk’s first chance. He thinks for a second before saying, “Food bad.” Ten years later, he says, “Bed hard.” It’s the big day, a decade later. He gives the head monk a long stare and says, “I quit.” “I’m not surprised,” the head monk says. “You’ve been complaining ever since you got here.” *************************************************** Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really angry. She told him “Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less than 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE!” The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough

there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new set of bathroom scales. Bob has been missing since Friday! *************************************************** A man buys a lie detector robot that slaps people who lie. He decides to test it at dinner. He asks his son, “Son, where were you today during school hours?” “At school.” The robot slaps the son. “Okay, I went to the movies!” The father asks, “Which one?” “Harry Potter.” The robot slaps the son again. “Okay, I was watching porn!” The father replies, “What? When I was your age I didn’t even know what porn was!” The robot slaps the father. The mum chirps up..., “Haha! After all, he is your son!” The robot slaps the mother! *************************************************** You are on a horse, galloping at a constant speed. On your right side is a sharp drop off, and on your left side is an elephant traveling at the same speed as you. Directly in front of you is another galloping horse but your horse is unable to overtake it. Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you and the horse in front of you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation? Get off the bloody merry-go-round! *************************************************** Maria went home happy, telling her mother about how she won an easy 20€ from the boys by accepting their bet to climbing the tree. Her mum responded, “Maria, they just wanted to see your knickers my dear!” Maria replied, “Yes mum, I know.. but I out smarted those silly idiots and took them off!”
