Pumpkins, Cider, & Corn Maze, Oh MY! If you don’t know any little kids, go borrow some! Or if you are brave you might even try to make it through without the help of a child! Campbell’s Maze Daze is a great place for a group of any age to sit around a bonfire that they will build for you. They even provide the hot dogs and S’mores! We have made it a tradition to take our grandkids on a crisp October afternoon to play hide and seek in the corn maze at Campbell’s Maze Daze south of Nixa. We have so much fun. There is always some kind of entertainment going on, and a jump house or two for the kids to jump in. The kids get us completely lost in the maze trying to find all the trivia answers and then we finally find our way out again. My favorite part is riding on the hayrack out to the Pumpkin fields to pick out our own perfect pumpkins. We carefully inspect all the pumpkins. It always delights me to see the kids deciding if they want a BIG one or a perfectly shaped one, or one that is an odd color... Then we take our pumpkins back home and carve or paint them to decorate the front porch. By the end of the day I am exhausted, but I wouldn’t give up those wonderful memory making days for anything! What is your favorite October activity? Tell me about it at If you are interested in finding out more about Campbell’s Maze Daze go to

Blessing.... Sheila TABLE

“Welcome to Joes”

Does modern worship ever look like a three-ring circus to you? Welcome to Joe’s world. Joe, the proprietor of a coffee shop, struggles with the changing times. All around him are demands for modernization. From designer coffees to preachers in purple suits, Joe bucks the trends. How could anyone hope to hear God in a worship service set to maximum volume? In Joe’s hesitant dance with the times (one step out, two steps back), he finds friends who support and challenge him as he comes to a richer understanding of our unchanging God, and discovers his own need for a change of heart. Jesus, who is the Gosple, said all the commandments and laws hinge on two: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul and then Love your neighbor as yourself.

Is it possible that we have made the work and rules of the church so complicated that we have lost the essence of what Jesus intended?

Jesus, who is the Gosple, when He was eating dinner with tax collectors and sinners, said that those who are well don’t need a doctor, but the sick do, and this is who He came for. The reality is that we are all sick and need his healing. Is it possible that the church has become so polished on the outside that we have begun thinking of ourselves as not needing any further treatment?

Jesus, who is the Gosple, said to a woman at the well who he should not of even been talking to, that He was living water and that a drink from Him would cause you never to thirst again. Is it possible that the church has forgotton the rules of engagement? Instead of taking the living water to where it is needed most, are we saying,“clean up and come in here where we are for a drink”?

Tom & Nadine

After our never ending move from Salem to Springfield 3 years ago, we were really dreading another move to a much needed larger condo. I could not take that stress again, so when we found Jennifer and Linda, we hired them for our move to Seasons Three. We discussed the floor plan and arrangements, handed them the keys and went to Branson for 4 days. We came home to everything finished...even shelf paper in the cabinets. We were amazed at how wonderful moving could be and I didn’t lose a night’s sleep unpacking or fretting. --Tom & Nadine F., Springfeild, Mo.
