HOW DEEP THE FATHER’S LOVE FOR US How deep the Father’s love for us How vast beyond all measure That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure How great the pain of searing loss The Father turns His face away As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory Behold the man upon a cross My guilt upon His shoulders Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers It was my sin that held Him there Until is was accomplished

His dying breath has brought me life I know that it is finished I will not boast in anything No gifts, no pow’rs, no wisdom But I will boast in Jesus Christ His death and resurrection Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer But this I know with all my heart His wounds have paid my ransom Stuart Townend ©1995 Kingsway’s Thankyou Music

Lily’s Letters What excites you most about moving to Croatia? Um...I will speak a new language and I will tell people our language. What concerns you most? Um, um, ah...they will call us monsters.

A REPORT FROM THE CAMP The following are excerpts from the Fall Newsletter sent out by the camp in Croatia.

Thank you, God, for giving me your love and power and direction. Summer Days Done We had 75 campers from ages 13-20, and with a great staff, it was a super summer! God blessed us with many opportunities to see Him working, even when we had one camp at less than ½ of the number of expected campers. There was a WIDE variety of camps this summer. We began with our traditional English Bible Sports Camp for younger campers. We then broke new ground by leading a camp where students specialized in one sport, receiving intensive instruction for 6 of the 7 days. This camp was older, mainly non-believing campers, but it was exciting to see as God used this forum. In particular, one of our long-term contacts was drawn to open her heart to Him, really for the first time. We followed all of this with a camp for missionary kids from around Europe. It was, as you may imagine, an exhausting time, but it was also a time when God sustained us and gave us words and opportunities to share His love with the Croatian youth. The photos and quotes on this sheet are only a few examples of the

many ways God was working this summer. He gave energy and grace to all who needed it. Sports, songs, and many hours doing random crafts on rainy days came together to form an amazing camp experience for all. It was beautiful. Thank you, God.

CIT Begins Again The Counselors in Training Program graduates have spent their first summers on our staff! They led Bible studies, assisted instructors and were a crucial part of the team. To address the issues of continuing training, our graduates will participate in a follow-up weekend. Thirteen new youth have been invited to participate with the second class of what is now termed the Counselor Helpers Program. On October 15th , the students came for the first time, consumed liters of juice and cookies, and learned about the importance of spiritual formation. They’re excited to come back again!

Thank you, God, for loving examples who have shown me the way of life.

What will you miss most? My family, my grandmas & grandpas and my cousins...and my friends. Why are you doing this? Because I want to tell people about God. And Jesus. Who is Jesus to you? He is my master and I serve Him.

I M P O R TA N T D A T E S It’s been quite the busy month with very few contacts made, therefore we currently have nothing on our calendar. December 13—Connor’s 10th birthday. December 25—Christmas Day. Would you consider introducing us to your church, club, family, or friends?
