Ervin Monroe Competition Ervin Monroe Young Artist Competition The EMYAC is open to any flutist who is a permanent resident of Michigan or is a student at a Michigan college or university. Applicants must be 18-30 years of age by April 16, 2010, the date of the Ervin Monroe Young Artists Competition. The applicants must be available to give a performance at the SEMFA Festival in Plymouth, MI the following day, April 17, 2010. Five finalists will be selected on the basis of recorded auditions. The First Prize winner will perform their competition repertoire at the 8th Annual Southeast Michigan Flute Association (SEMFA) Festival, Saturday Apri 17, 2010. The Second and Third Prize winners will perform in a masterclass with Marianne Gedigian, the featured guest at the festival. Repertoire
