P ow e r f u l Efficient High-Power LEDs combined with innovative freeform reflectors and sophisticated thermal management are the basis for the superior performance of the Avanza. LED clusters aligned to the primary light direction and Avanza reflectors coated with the purest aluminium ensure high luminous efficiency. Avanza provides light which conforms to industry standards, using maximum pole distances, while its low energy costs and positive CO2 footprint make for a convincing overall package.

A e s t h e t i c The Avanza incorporates a single-piece design and exploits the full possibilities of LED technology. Both the Avanza 450 for pathways and minor roads and the larger Avanza 600 for roadways with higher traffic volumes have a body height of just 103 mm. With its distinctive design language it lends a stylish touch to streets, squares, pathways and parks. The key feature however is its outstanding lighting quality which, of course, conforms to all industry standards – but above all – delivers harmonious brightness transitions, variable lighting power and many additional accessories.

High-quality materials and components plus a harmonious design make the Avanza a future-proof investment. This is why we are able to offer a five-year warranty on these luminaires. The housing is made of durable die-cast aluminium and the glass diffuser from non-reflecting safety glass. The LED module and electronic ballast boast a lifetime of 80,000 operating hours (L70). For each unit produced we test and document key lighting and electrical parameters to obtain zero-fault production. Even in case of LED upgrades the original luminaire appearance remains unchanged and is guaranteed.

The combination of direct light and reflected light is why Avanza can deliver high light output with high visual comfort at the same time. The luminaire is equipped with two (Avanza 450) or four (Avanza 600) pairs of large freeform reflectors. An LED cluster aligned in the direction of the main light is integrated into each reflector. Selux Cross Beam Technology creates harmonious brightness transitions for optimal visibility and a unique appearance.

Of course, requirements vary from one application to another and often go beyond those of a normed light. It is especially the case in access-only residential areas with low mounting heights where maximum visual comfort is a particular requirement. This is where the factory-installed comfort feature comes in. Attached directly onto the LED cluster luminous areas are widened, light densities are reduced and visual comfort is increased as a result.

With 3,000 K warm white light the modules are particularly suitable for residential areas. The comfort feature enables reduction of subjective dazzling and measurable glare values.

Suitable luminous packages are available for various lighting classes. 4,500 K neutral white light offers very good recognisability and true colour reproduction.

Combined assembly of the Avanza 450 and Avanza 600 enables two lighting tasks to be fulfilled at once using a single pole: for example the lighting of roadway and pavement.

Dual arms enable uniform lighting of wide spaces from a single pole and the prevention of dark zones for added safety.

Sustainable concept, easy maintenance

Consistent heat removal for a longer lifetime

Toolless replacement of parts

LED street lights will only really become innovative if they create long-term added value with sophisticated heat management. For only with consistent discharge of heat arising at the rear will LEDs obtain their greatest possible efficiency and a longer lifetime. Elbow lever lock

LED boards in the Avanza are fixed on specially designed contact areas in the luminaire housing. These conduct the heat onto the entire surface of the luminaire and ensure uniform cooling by circulating exterior air. As a result, the Avanza can be used in ambient temperatures of up to 55 °C (up to 71 W). In the rare case of the luminaire overheating, it will be dimmed via an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) module automatically and, after cooling, reset to its initial power.

Servicing and warranty Every luminaire that leaves our company is examined with regard to light colour, luminous flux and power. The data is stored to enable light components to be supplied later on that have the same technical parameters as the initial equipment. The Avanza is distinguished by highest-quality materials and utmost practicality. LED and electronic ballast are designed for 80,000 operating hours. Its long lifetime and the housing's dirt-resistant shape keep maintenance costs to the minimum. The Avanza complies with the IP66 protection category. For upgrades, the luminaire can be opened without any tools via an elbow lever lock. The LED boards are connected with the reflectors to form a simple-to-handle module. This can be replaced without any tools as can the electronic ballast. Electrical contact between LED module and converter is via a plug-in connector, which enables components to be replaced independently.


Save energy and costs with professional control

Avanza luminaires can be switched and dimmed via different interfaces (1–10 V, DALI). Due to the use of intelligent controls the light can be controlled individually and precisely according to requirements in a way that would not be possible with conventional luminaire technology. This usage-based control reduces energy consumption in the long term, lowers costs and optimizes the CO2 footprint.

Conventional street lights are often overdimensioned to ensure lighting consistently conforms to standards despite loss of luminous flux. At the beginning of life, this results in both an increased energy consumption and an increased luminance at the light output. This is no longer necessary with the Avanza. With optional Constant Lumen Technology (CLT) the loss in luminous flux can be compensated by an algorithm specially coordinated to the LEDs. The lighting level will therefore correspond precisely to the predefined requirements at all times. Contrary to the conventional technology, the luminance at the light output of Avanza is kept at a constant level. In this way potential for savings is fully exploited by means of an ideally configured lighting system.

Sophisticated design with manifold design options Avanza has been developed both for the needs of new systems and the upgrade of existing systems. The Avanza family of mounting arms combined with the pole that has been specially designed for the Avanza provides the luminaire with a harmonious overall look.
