Do you want to have the best summer vacation of your life? Come to Diamond Camp! We are doing caving into India’s caves. Our goal is to find diamonds and gemstones while you are doing a sensational sport.
At our camp, rooms in the hotel are built into rocks. Don’t panic! It is done in a very sophisticated, stylish and luxurious way. This hotel is in Sundarbans, India, featuring elegant rooms and the suites have access to the lake. Some have a view on the ocean. It’s in a warm area, but you can cool down in lakes. There is a wonderful flora around the site.
Into the hotel, you can access Wi-Fi for free and watch cable television 24 hours a day. Special spa treatments are available for you. Each room has air conditioning and laundry services are provided.
On the beach next to the caves, you can use our volleyball courts. There is also a lake you can swim in and you can go kayaking on it, but don’t worry, both activities take place in two different areas for your safety. We do not want you to get hurt. We also planned you aerial forest adventures.
There are housekeepers to clean each room. Once a year, we receive the visit of famous athletes. We have two instructors for each sport except for caving which there are five. We also have a camp director, he is the one who organizes all the activities so you will have a lot of fun.
We call caving the pastime during which we explore wild cave systems. The challenge is to visit caves and find diamonds or gemstones, but when you’re in, there is no light except for the entrance and there are sometimes pitches, squeezes and water hazards. There is also cave diving, which is much more hazardous and can be done by technicallyproficient cavers.
To practice caving, you need to have equipment. You need protective clothing: a thermal protection because if you don’t have one you increase the risk of hypothermia. Abrasive protection, footwear and a helmet are also part of the equipment you need. For the vertical equipment, you need a single rope technique, standard equipment (which contains a climbing harness, a climbing rope, an ascender and a descender), a rope, a ladder and a bolting. Finally, the surveying equipment contains measuring instruments (compass), measuring distance (fibreglass tape measure) and a recording data (tough waterproof paper).
If you want everything to be alright, you need the basic equipment, never be less than four people to do caving, make sure at least one person knows where you are and move carefully in the caves.
In caving, the main risks are: hypothermia, falling, flooding, falling rocks and physical exhaustion. If you follow the safety tips and you wear the equipment you need, there is less danger.
You need to have experience in caves to come to our camp; you also need to know the basic rock climbing techniques and the three points of contact. You also have to know how to do knots and body belays.
Always be in a team of four campers to do any sport (caving, volleyball or swimming). Never be late to an activity. The curfew is at 11 p.m., stay in your room after this time. Respect everyone and do not break the equipment.
If you want to stay for a week, you have to pay $500, for a month it’s $1,500 and for the complete summer, you have to pay $3,000.
If you want to do something after the caving, we offer other sports for you to have fun. You can play volleyball, go kayaking, swim and even do aerial forest activities.
If you want to see us to benefit of our amazing activities we offer you to our camp, you need to come to Sundarbans into India.
Each year, we receive the visit of a caving athlete. We pick ten persons between the campers and these persons can pass a full day with the athlete. You can learn a lot of things from this activity. There is also a talent show every month. You can show your talents to the rest of the camp.
Each morning, for breakfast, you can have fruits, pancakes, toasts, cereals or muffins. For dinner, there are pizzas, hamburgers and salads. For supper, you can choose between meat and pasta. For dessert, some desserts are going to be sweet and others healthy. The menu is different every day.
There is a curfew to 11 p.m. and you need to wake-up before 9 a.m. to be ready for an exciting day in the caves.
