A MESSAGE TO OUR CUSTOMERS. The focus of our long-term comprehensive product development & evaluation program is to bring the best products to the NORTHEAST & MID-ATLANTIC market with the most regional supporting data. Whether it’s grain or silage, full trait, specific trait, conventional or NON-GMO – chances are we have a product and supporting information to meet the needs of each acre you grow. In today’s tight farm economy the key to success is choosing the right management tools. Every acre counts and each seed selection is an important decision. When you are up against regional soil productivity differences, elevation changes, changing tillage/ herbicide systems and necessary management choices, not every product fits every acre. Grain, silage, specialty – choosing seed carefully can pay significant year-end dividends. SEEDWAY® recommends corn growers consult the following detailed product presentation to select products based on end use. We have developed independent grain & silage product use guides. This guide focuses on profitable grain production. Please consult a SEEDWAY Territory Field Manager or a SEEDWAY office for additional product assistance. We plan for every SEEDWAY acre to be the best it can be.

THERE’S CHANGE IN THE AIR.

®

We are currently in the midst of one of the greatest waves of change in the agricultural industry in a long time. On the one hand, the advancement of seed traits, technology and advancements in digital AG are helping to significantly improve plant health and yield. On the other, industry consolidation at both the national and regional brand level is making it hard to figure out who is who anymore. For over half a century, SEEDWAY® has been a name farmers can trust to be committed to their success and bring products and services that deliver on that commitment. That commitment is at the very core of who we are as a company and will never change. However, we also need to make sure the history and experience we bring growers continues to advance farm management and performance. In other words, we need to make sure that experience enables evolution rather than hinders it – we can’t rest on our laurels. To keep our growers at the forefront, we need to stay there – balancing our history with a progressive, innovative lens to keep delivering success by today’s (and tomorrow’s) standards. So, you’ll notice a few changes in the air starting with a recommitment to our brand; built on the same unwavering values, we’ve updated our look as a visible sign of our equal commitment to evolve and take full advantage of the positive changes in the industry that enable better performance. You’ll also notice greater focus in specialty areas such as farm seed and silage so that we can tailor what we do to the specific needs of each grower as we work to apply new traits, tools and technologies. We hope you’ll find all this strikes the perfect balance between the name and experience you trust and our collective need to advance and meet a modern-day definition of success. There’s that old saying, “the more things change the more they stay the same”, and when it comes to our commitment to your farm’s success, this saying has never been more true. I’m proud to be a part of a company with the history of SEEDWAY and trust that has built to this point ,and I’m excited about what we can do together moving forward.

f TRITICALE

336 WINTER FORAGE TRITICALE

SMALL GRAIN PRODUCTS

Ideally suited for ag leaf to early boot forage production for lactating cows. Can extract and assimilate large amounts of nitrogen making it an excellent tool for managing dairy waste products. Early maturity allows potential double-cropping with corn silage rotations where growing degrees will allow (Boots two days earlier than 815 triticale variety).

f TRITICALE

FLEX 719 WINTER FORAGE TRITICALE Awnletted (reduced beard length). Moderate plant height with good straw strength. Good early seedling vigor. High silage yield and good silage quality. Adapted widely throughout the Northern US.

f TRITICALE

HYOCTANE WINTER FORAGE TRITICALE HyOctane is a winter triticale variety that has shown favorable forage yield and winter hardiness across the East Coast. HyOctane makes a great option for fall grazing on ensiling in the spring before corn planting. Reduced awned variety to aid livestock palatability. Good early-season vigor and earlier heading date than traditional varieties with a medium straw strength. Very short awns and a very high leaf to stem ratio with excellent yield and quality.

These mixtures of grass and legume species provide the potential for increased crop yields, disruption of disease & pest cycles, reduce soil erosion, increase water infiltration and nutrient recycling. In addition to the soil benefits that cover crops provide, many species provide opportunities for grazing, haying or ensiling a nutritious forage crop.

BEE POLLINATOR MIXES SW Annual Pollinator Mix Annual Pollinator Mix

SW Annual Pollinator Mix is formulated to be a beneficial pollinator mix, but an excellent cover crop mix that will build the soil with nitrogen and organic matter. Since the mix is annual, timing is important for proper planting time and should be sown early enough to have bloom for the pollinator species. Spring planting or early fall is ideal. Seed at 25-30 lbs. per acre.

Eastern Pollinator Mix Annual/Perennial Pollinator Mix

Formulated for the eastern United States and southeast Canada where pollinator conservation is desired. Best times to plant are spring, early summer, and fall. Seed at 11-22 lbs. per acre.

For the late planting dates in mid-September, vigorous and fast early development is the most important selection criterion, which is precisely why MASTER was developed.

• Good biomass producer that can be used for grazing livestock

• Rapid development makes for ideal weed suppression

FASTER. EARLIER.

BETTER. Fast, early development ensures rapid root soil penetration for nematode control. By quickly establishing a field canopy, growers can ensure effective weed suppression and preserve the soil structure. The tendency to flower is an important criterion in connection with the planting time. In the case of early planting dates, from the end of July to the beginning of August, the late flowering varieties are preferred because they have a long vegetative growth phase.
