Solid coin but completely uncleaned, with rusty orange encrustation and dark toning all over, most details clear or presumed to be when cleaned. Estimate: $175-$250.

Nesmith 86 for type; S-M9. 11.68 grams. Truly one of the strangest things we have seen from a shipwreck, the 4R and penny clearly sharing the same bright-orange oxidation and encrustation, with the shield side of the 4R fairly well detailed and solid. This piece begs the question: How? Estimate: $175-$250.
