Double International Superyacht Design awarded Couëdel Hugon Design, unveils the new Frers 105’ striking contemporary interior.

For their third partnership with German Frers, Hervé Couëdel and Pierre Hugon, have created a loft style and very innovative interior that pushes far away the boundaries of contemporary interior yacht design. Hervé Couëdel says: “This yacht is for a repeat client of the agency, and we are very proud of it. The owner asked us to create a light yet luxurious interior, with a serene and timeless ambiance. This was quite a motivating challenge”. The living spaces are pure and aerial. Carbon plates come out of the floor to support the furniture. It feels like the interior is not lying on the floor, but floating in the air. Carbon contrasts with the warmth of grey leather, cedar of Lebanon furniture, and light grey colored lacquers. The salon is wide and uncluttered. A carbon line runs from the keel pit to the owner’s bathroom to unite the living spaces. The owner suite welcomes a central king size bed with a headboard made out of a patchwork of leather tiles. To increase the feeling of space, the shower rooms are not hidden behind a bulkhead. Instead, thanks to a cleaver layout design, they are open to the bedroom while remaining very private. This new Frers also features two guest cabins, a professional galley and comfortable crew quarters. The owner, a keen sailor, likes to cruise fast with his family and friends. It was evident for him to entrust Frers with the architecture to create one of today’s most elegant and high performance sailing yachts. Built by a shipyard to be soon disclosed, this amazing sailing yacht will be delivered by the summer of 2012.
