YOU ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A PERFORMANCE! The exciting 2012–2013 season is not only for you, it is because of you. With the largest subscriber base of performing arts patrons in the Pacific Northwest. The Seattle Symphony can plan ambitious future seasons, like this one, with confidence. But even with our subscription levels the highest they’ve been in three years, ticket sales cover only 54% of our costs to produce a wide range of programming each season — from the long-standing and beloved Wyckoff Masterworks Season, to Music Director Ludovic Morlot’s new Sonic Evolution concerts that celebrate Seattle’s musical legacy, to the Gilman Family Discover Music concerts. The Seattle Symphony performs 200 concerts annually at Benaroya Hall and in the community, and our goal is to keep our ticket prices affordable so that all people have the opportunity to experience the joy of live symphonic music. Where does the other 46% come from? Well, more than 80% of that comes from people like you — our subscribers. You are people who understand that a donation to the Symphony not only supports our operations, but supports our community making Seattle, the Emerald City, a true gem that shines for us all. Whether you give $10, $100 or $10,000, every donor matters and every gift counts. We show our appreciation for each gift with benefits ranging from a simple charitable receipt to the opportunity to meet Orchestra members at special events or through behindthe-scenes experiences. If you already support us with an annual donation through your subscription, please consider renewing it at this time. If you do not, please consider making a gift with your subscription.
