Seattle Chapter Educational Events Get Involoved!


Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Guild. Meet like-minded people in Seattle’s flourishing green building community and have a lot of fun while you’re at it! Here is a summary of the various committees of the Seattle Chapter that you can become a part of and help contribute to our success!

The Guild hosts monthly educational meetings covering a variety green building topics. This committee chooses which exciting topics to pursue, coordinates the speakers and content, markets the events, and has a great time along the way. Contact:

Booth Events and Workshops Volunteering at the Guild’s booth is fun and rewarding. We have interactive displays and workshops at over a dozen events annually to promote the Guild, our members, and green building. These events are great opportunities to interact with the public about green building strategies. Contact:

Green Building Slam Our big, fall annual event has been showcasing ten green projects submitted by our members since 2003. A super fun evening where you can meet new people, learn new things, and be inspired! Contact:

Communications and Marketing This team issues the newsletter, updates the website, creates flyers/ brochures, posts on Facebook and other social media. We define communications guidelines and create the marketing plan. Contact:

Steering Committee The Steering Committee is the governing body for the Seattle Chapter. We’re the behind-the-scenes folks who have a lot of fun while doing important work to keep the wheels rolling. We meet in Seattle on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Contact:

Phinney Neighborhood Center Work/Trade The Chapter exchanges our monthly meeting space from the Phinney Neighborhood Center with professional skills and labor to help maintain their facility. Help us help them. Contact:

NW Green Home Tour
