Fear = Reverence Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.

‫יראה‬ yir-aw'

Feminine fear; morally reverent Going back to root words in Strong’s definition, both suggest to fear or to frighten; but more emphatically, to morally revere, though by inference to pay homage, to respect and follow. It is also worth noting that the specific use is feminine, and gender specific, which may actually be a reference to the Holy Spirit. Wisdom in the Old Testament is generally personified in the feminine and named Sophia in the Greek. Again, I believe this is a reference to the spiritual nature of God. Recognizing God’s will as perfect and supreme means accepting the fact that we are “where we need to be” as a result of our journey, and that acceptance of His will and purpose puts us squarely in a place of greater wisdom and truth. Now, we can begin to make sense of His purpose. It is a new beginning.
