Funds Raised For Malahide Sports Over â‚Ź10,000 has been raised so far for sport in Malahide through the Malahide Sports Lotto. This web-based fund-raising initiative was established just six weeks ago in a joint venture between five local sports clubs – rugby, cricket, tennis, GAA and sailing. Already, there have been over 20 cash winners and the Jackpot is now building up to â‚Ź2,600, according to Breda Melvin, one of the Sports Lotto co-ordinators. “While hundreds of sports clubs around the country already run their ‘LocalLotto’, this collaboration is unique in Ireland in that this is the first time a group of clubs in a town have come together for this purpose,â€? she said. This collective initiative is managed by Malahide Rugby Club, Malahide Lawn Tennis Club, St. Sylvesters GAA, Malahide Yacht Club and Malahide Cricket Club, all in Malahide.
