Blend The concept for Out There is simple. acts, liberally together some of the world’s finest n, place it all in mix with plenty of local participatio al seaside one of the country’s finest tradition towns… then stand back and enjoy!

Of course, it’s not quite that simple... the bumper 7th edition of Out There is the product of 12 months hard work, brought together thanks to the support of many key partners. The visionary support of the Borough Council and our long-term European partnerships have this year been acknowledged with Arts Council England awarding us National Portfolio Organisation status, placing us amongst around 600 UK organisations delivering outstanding artistic work. Boasting 50 European acts, 2014’s festival will be the largest circus and street arts programme in the UK. It also promises to be our most participatory to date with three key ingredients; Looking for Paradise (p20), The Color of Time (p26) and Les Cubiténistes (p21) all looking to you to be part of the festival. There’s a strong Gallic flavour with our ZEPA 2 project supporting the rainbow explosion that is The Color of Time and the return of our Anglo-French celebration, La Fête Franglais. Further fine French work comes courtesy of the PASS Circus Channel which supports emerging circus acts and many new creations. We continue to explore beyond St. George’s Park with the Hippodrome welcoming back one of Yarmouth’s own, Tom Gaskin, in an exciting new show, Silver Lining. St. George’s Theatre hosts indoor and outdoor work and the former Regent Theatre (now Stars Showbar) is home to a Saturday night programme of performance, cabaret and music. Alongside 14 UK premieres and a lively programme of in development work, we also host our first major professional symposium bringing international delegates to a major sector event for Great Yarmouth.

The Color of Time UK Premiere In a rainbow eruption of paint and dance, Artonik’s The Color of Time bursts onto the streets of Great Yarmouth, bringing a stunning reinvention of the traditional Holi festival – a celebration of unity, acceptance and diversity. While its origins draw from Indian culture, this reinterpretation is resolutely contemporary. In a massive theatrical parade, dancers and musicians move in a choreographed carnivalesque parade towards a huge finale. Joining in, the audience are invited into a riotous explosion of colour and joy, painting the sky with an explosion of Gulal* powder. Marina cenTre Sat 5pm [75mins] *Gulal is natural Mais powder, eco-friendly and non-toxic and will wash off with cold water.
