For immediate release – 10/4/2007 - #061 LC Women’s Soccer defeats Randolph College 10-0 Box Score LYNCHBURG, VA – Freshman Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson) notched a hat track in the first 12 minutes of the game as the Lynchburg College women’s soccer team breezed to a 10-0 win Thursday evening over visiting Randolph College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup. Kwiatkowski scored her first goal five minutes into the contest, and found the back of the net again just 13 seconds later. She added her third goal at the 12:02 mark. Emily Sledd (Mechanicsville, VA/Lee-Davis) and Shawn Jackson (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam) each recorded a goal and an assist, while Lauren Askey (Baltimore, MD/loch Raven), Karey Richardson (Herndon, VA/Herndon), Lindsay Gengras (Avon, CT/Avon), Kelsey Rogers (Upton, MA/Nipmuc Regional) and Katie Santos (Cheltenham, MD/Bishop Ireton) scored once a piece. LC out-shot Randolph 56-0, and Wildcat keeper Victoria Johnson made 21 saves. Randolph falls to 1-10 overall on the season and 0-5 in the ODAC. The Hornets (10-2-1/5-1 ODAC) host Averett University at 11 a.m. on Homecoming Saturday.
