CHRIS HILL DIRECTOR OF MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC SERVICES SDMEA LEGISLATIVE LUNCH

The SDMEA hosted a lunch at the Capitol on Jan. 26. We had a great turnout and were able to visit with legislators about Municipal Electric Utilities. SDMEA Board President Russell Halgerson, Brookings Municipal Utilities, Vice President Jerry Jongeling, Sioux Falls Traffic, Light and Power, and Trustees Mike Antonson City of Beresford Electric Superintendent, Monty Munkvold, City of Vermillion Electric Superintendent, and Bert Magstadt, Watertown Municipal Utilities Director of Operations, were in attendance to help with the lunch and promote municipal electric utilities and our association.

Also helping with the lunch were Kelly Dybdahl from Heartland Consumers Power District, Deb Birgen, and Kersten Johnson from Missouri River Energy Services, and Steve Meyer from Brookings Municipal Utilities.
