CERTIFICATIONS

Dhana Inc. is a Certified B Corporation (B Corp), a for-profit company that has been certified by the nonprofit B Lab, to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

Certified by Fair Trade International and carries the FAIRTRADE Marke. This means the suppliers and producers throughout our supply chain have met Fair Trade standards, designed to address the imbalance of power in trading, unstable markets and injustices of conventional trade.

Dhana Inc.s is GreenAmerica Gold certified, committed to using business as a platform for social change, adopting principles, policies and practices that improve the quality of life for our customers, employees, communities, and the planet.

We’’’re Wearin’’’ the World™™ In January 2016, Dhana Inc. launched the campaign. We’re Wearin’ the World. (TM). Synonymous with our signature collection with design inspiration from the colors, textures, and elements of the natural world, the campaign allows individuals to express and share how they experience the world. Dhana’s ‘triple W’ icon is a graphic representation of this expression and reminds us how the clothes we wear connect us to nature and to each other. The campaign aims to unite humanity by providing a forum for sharing the influences that shape and define our success.

#WearOurValues

#WearOurValues is a movement dedicated to creating a community of advocates to promote ethical and sustainable fashion through dressing, stylizing, designing, and shopping as a reflection of their values. We see #WearOurValues as a means of inviting consumers to make incremental changes to their lifestyle by offering tools and insights to make adoption easier and allowing individuals the opportunity to discover unique ways they can make an impact, creating a domino effect amongst their friends, family, and community. The first step in engagement is a brief survey, designed to better understand consumer values and what aspects of brand’s supply chains they wish were made public. With this information, we are able to offer solutions catered to consumers needs for other brands to adopt, aiding systemic ethical and environmental justice. 12

Shamini Dhana, Founder and CEO of Dhana Inc., brings to the fashion world over 20 years of experience in international strategy, global operations, venture capital, business development, management, and executive leadership in corporate America. She is passionate about the outdoors, has cycled over 300 miles three times down the California Coast, climbed the Himalayas (will be cycling nearly 100 miles through Bhutan this Summer), was an associate producer of the True Cost movie, and is a philanthropist and Climate Ride Ambassador. These experiences have positioned her in good stead when she decided to express her passion and purpose by starting her own company, Dhana, Inc. Shamini travels the world, spreading the Dhana spirit, empowering youth to connect to people and the planet through the medium of fashion, and has recently pledged Dhana to the 2020 Circular Fashion System.

COMMUNITY Dhana is founding partner of Ethical Fashion Forum, MySource, and Common Objective (CO). CO is an intelligent business network connecting business within the world of fashion committed to doing fashion better, aiding solutions for environmental and social issues.

Climate Ride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that organizes life-changing charitable events to raise awareness and support sustainability, active transport, and environmentability, active transportation, and environmental causes. Dhana Inc. is a sponsor for Climate Ride, and Shamini is a Climate Ride Ambassador and board member.

Dhana is a brand committed to transparency and Fashion Revolution. Fashion Revolution is a global movement uniting people and organizations to work together towards radically changing the way our clothes are sourced, produced and consumed so that our clothing is made in a safe, clean and fair way.

Ellevate Network is a global community of professional women committed to elevating each other through education, inspiration, and opportunity. Dhana is a partner of the Ellevate Netowrk, and Shamini Dhana has been an executive council member since 2011, and currently serves as a board advisor.


Dhana is proud to be a signatory of the 2020 Circular Fashion System Commitment, working towards building a circular fashion system strategy by 2020. GYAL’s Network is a platform and event series dedicated to empowering the emerging female leader who wants to make a positive impact in the world. As a partner, Dhana works alongside GYAL’S to educate and spread awareness of the importance of impactful choices.

Kiddo! the Mill Valley Schools Community Foundation is a non-profit 501(c3) organization made up parents, teachers, businesses, and active members of the community. Dhana is a partner and advocate for educational excellence. Dhana is a committed member of the Organic Textile Association using the brand to encourage and protect organic farming practices in our supply chain by sourcing only 100% organic cotton.

Textile Exchange is a global, non-profit that works closely with Dhana and other membered organizations to drive industry transformation in preferred fibers, integrity and standards, and responsible supply networks. 16

The VOTE EVERY DAY Campaign hosted by B Lab invited 25 B Corps, including Dhana Inc., to remind consumers alike that when we make a purchase, we are casting a vote for a better future. This year-long campaign has given a voice to individuals to buy from, work for and do business with B Corps they believe in, honoring that every day is Election Day.
