Why should you study A-Levels with us?

Industry Placements, Talks & Trips Your learning will also take place outside of the classroom, with a number of planned industry placements, guest talks, and trips.

Each year, you’ll be able to take advantage of our excellent links with local and national employers to gain valuable It’s the perfect work placements in an industry related to your stepping stone studies. In the past, to university students have worked for accountancy firms, marketing departments, local hospitals, local news outlets in print, TV and radio, and lawyers and solicitors. These opportunities not only give you valuable hands-on experience, it also looks great on your CV and UCAS application.

We’re a Community

We often welcome university lecturers and industry experts into the college to give talks about their jobs, their industry, and to give you an insight into what the industry might look like in the future.

We also give you the opportunity to get involved with lots of trips throughout the year. We put on coaches to the UCAS fairs in London and Brighton so you can chat to and find out more about university courses up and down the country. Our subject areas also organise course related trips throughout the year. Our students often visit the capital to experience the Law courts, parliament, banks, marketing agencies, and tourist attractions.

We have a close-knit sixth form that has fantastic progression rates giving our students the opportunity to move onto the things they want to do next - including their first-choice university, an apprenticeship, or go off into the world of work.

Our students always tell us how friendly and welcoming our sixth form is. It is a place where they’re able to make new life-long friends and they are able to mature and gain independence. The feel of the large, modern building, the interaction with the tutors, and the in-depth subject knowledge is the perfect stepping stone to university.

It’s not all work, work, work! As we mentioned earlier, there are plenty of activities for you to get involved with outside of the classroom. Whether it is joining one of our sports academies, becoming a student rep or starting your own club.

Tutorial System A sixth form education requires determination and hard work, and we realise that support outside of the classroom is essential to enable you to succeed. When you enrol with us you will be assigned a tutor. They will be aligned with the subject you have chosen and be able to give you expert support and guidance with those subjects.

UCAS Application Support

We can provide academic support in the form of study and revision workshops. These take place throughout the year and more regularly as we approach exams season.

If your goal is to head to university after A-Levels then we’ll be able to support you with your UCAS application. We regularly run UCAS surgeries to help you with each step of the process, from setting up your account, to writing and refining your personal statement.
