Chinese New Year Chinese new year also known as the spring festival is a Chinese holiday celebrated at the turn of the Chinese calendar. The celebration begins with a reunion dinner, followed by a cleansing of homes of any ill fortune, ready for red paper decoration to be displayed as a sign of good fortune. Celebrated late January - early February. Diwali - Festival of Light The festival of light celebrated every year in autumn. The festival signifies the spiritual victory of light over darkness. Homes are lit with lanterns and candles; families participate in prayers as well as indulging in a large feast and exchange of gifts.

Rio Carnival Considered the world’s biggest carnival. The place where samba schools come together to compete. Each school portrays a different theme and includes 6-8 oats as well as 4,000 members per group. The festivals last up to 5 days, finishing on fat Tuesday with ash Wednesday to follow.
