Mtn.View National Night Out

2012

What is the National Night Out? The National Night Out (NNO) is celebrated annually across our nation as a community event sponsored by local police and community agencies. The purpose of NNO is to heighten awareness of safety and crime prevention by providing a safe, enjoyable experience for families (children, youth & adults). From 5 to 9 pm on August 7th, residents in neighborhoods in Anchorage and across the nation were asked to lock their doors and spend the evening outside with neighbors, community organizations and law enforcement. The National Night Out showcases the importance of police & community partnerships in our fight to build a safer nation.
