Mass | Void Semester: Spring 2014 Medium: Graphite and Ink

The creation of a mass with the though of hierarchy in mind. Complimented by pathways leading to the to The different iterations and exploded axon help portray the mass weaving through the void.

Central Park Gatehouse Semester: Fall 2014 Medium: Graphite Incorporating a grid into the design acting as a majority of the skin, it is complimented with the broken up segments that create a design element along with a structural feature. The grid allows light to reach certain areas on the first floor showing off some mystery of what lies above sparking interest to those below.

Sticking to hand drawings for this project, the difficulty increased with time and effort but was proven to be worthwhile in the end.

Precedent Study| Montjuic Fire Station Semester: Spring 2015 Medium: AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop

With a simple yet efficient layout, it provides the ease of access to the apparatus bay with stairs and fire poles on Either side of the building. With Program laid out around that factor.

Having natural sunlight for a fire station is important. It allows an eased mind when dealing with tougher situations. Along with a more applicable place to live. (below)

Bushwick Elementary School Semester: Fall 2016

Medium: AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhinoceros 3D, Flamingo Renderer.

Location: Bushwick, Brooklyn We are proposed to erect an elementary school(K-5). Faced with the challenges of: - A 14ft retaining wall at the corner of Knickerbocker and Woodbine. Having the change in elevation from street corner to the opposite side 17ft. - The Gym, Library and Cafeteria publicly accessible. - Additional program: 8,000sqft of living, 1,200sqft conference room. - Maintaining/re-purposing the existing retaining wall mural.

? ?

To solve the problem of the different elevations along with street to park transition. A ramping system became the solution. Creating the middle ground known as the “Community Level“

GYM CAFE LIBRARY CLASSROOMS LIVING CONF. ROOM ADMINSTRATION BATHROOMS BUILDING SERVICES

Addressing the access of public to three major programs(Gym, Caf., Library) a threshold was implemented. Allowing public to freely roam in the orange space. When entering yellow from orange(threshold) public is dispersed to desired location.

Cruciform Semester: Spring 2016 Medium: Graphite, Red colored pencil

The cruciform board is recent work from this semester, it was a quick two week project. Arranging three 144 sqft volumes within an iconic style of building (Used here is cruciform style popularized by Frank Lloyd Wright).

Affordable Housing Semester: Spring 2016 Medium: Graphite Pencil, Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhinoceros 3D, Flamingo Renderer. A work in progress. This diagonal shift of a repeating pattern creates voids that allows for person outdoor space in the Lower East Side.
